That is brilliant, but why not use a HiTechnic Infrared link sensor and an infrared reciever? is the light sensor communication faster? Or did you decide to do it like this so that more people could build it?
@HaydenStudios-Thankyou, The HiTechnic IR link sensor would have been ideal a you say, however at the time I didn't have one so I needed to come up with another way for the RCX to "talk" to the NXT.
A piece of art!!! Fully functional and amazingly fast and accurate mechanism! And this RCX-NXT communication via light sensors is a superb idea. Needless to say ...10/5 and added in favorites!

haha, I actually had to implement that game in Eiffel. Funny to see a robot doing the movements.
