I found this guide to be useful, but I've encountered a problem. I have two stripped, tiny black screws in my Wii! I was able to get one out, but the other two are utterly stripped. Any way I can get them out so I can install the chip?

also, if I were to get this, and I loaded a GC game off of a USB Drive, would I still need to save it into a memory card, or can it save somewhere else?

This is by far the best tutorial out there for installing the WODE. I had my laptop on my workbench while installing my WODE, and used this tut without any issues whatsoever. Just remember to take your time and follow this man's instructions, step by step. One thing that I ran into that may help you: update your WODE's firmware immediately, using the method described in this tut. My WODE wouldn't see my games until I updated. Hello, I run my Wii on 4.2E and have a wode that runs on 1.28 i need your help, All my games on my harddrive worked fine through homebrew-WodeFlow, But ever since i have Updated my Priiloader it actaullay Bricked my wii.fixed now My dvd ribbon cable is a little wrecked would this currupt the games from playing becuase some work and others say ( An Error has occurred. Press the eject button, remove the game disc, and turn the power off. Please read the wii operations manual for more information)

thanks for this - was having probs with the disc drive being too scewed out of shape to work after following the install on the wode site.... then saw this and noticed that you had the board the other way up - solved my problem.

hi, I was using this guide its all been good so far except Im up to the step thats about turning on the wii and testing the wode, when I turn the wii on, the light changes from red to green but only for a second before the light doesnt light up at all. any advice?

@portfooty Sounds like you are "shorting " take out the orange power cable, and try it out, If its works, check the pins insid the socket, you might have bent them when putting in the orange cable

Its the last screw on the disk drive as well!! any ideas on how to fix it would be appreciated

@AFLrules101 obviously you didnt press down hard enough when turning the screws and you stripped the thread, so there is nothing to grip onto. Try using a bigger head screwdriver if possible and pressing down hard when you are turning

@AFLrules101 I had a hard time too with that screw and I realized I just needed to gently squeeze it from the end like a sandwich...Their is a little rubber thingy that has to be lined up with the hole..I highly recommend using a magnetised screwdriver for the drive screws

I think I just about wrecked on of the screw heads on the disk drive, any idea how to get the screw out?
