  • Just a note to document the true fact that Li Xinggang submitted the winning design for the Bird's Nest Stadium, NOT tha darling of expatriot NED funded dissidents Ai WeiWei.

Again, let's be totally clear about this, the lead designer of the Bird's Nest Stadium is Li Xinggang!

  • alll i can say is communism is better then corrupt democracy !!

  • The Chinese and Persians EARNED their success, the Anglo-Saxon uses exploited labour to try and cheat his way, but the table is turning and power is being yielded to the rightful owners.

  • China's much better than Uk and USA to me,at least those Chinese people built up their country with work and self-confidence not with stealing other people's lands and wealth and killing poor people to for development like British and Americans DID and still DOING!

  • China dislocates/kills many of its citizens in the name of development and industrialization. How is it any different from the west then?

Also, China has a strong influence in African conflicts. Take Darfur for example. Arms for Oil policy is killing millions of innocent Africans there. So, how is China different from the West?

  • the chinese are so obsessed with winning, they even created a plan to win gold metals. chinese people are too much of a perfectionist. it's a wonder their children don't suicide from the pressure the parents put on them

  • @asdftrewwert Some of us do die though not through suicide. In my school, an elite school of 2000 students, there are more often than not, between 1 to 2 deaths per year. These students are healthy, extremely fit and of course highly intelligent. Strangely, the story is always the same. They always suddenly drop dead, no precursor whatsoever. No disease, no signs of fatigue, nothing. Of course, I suspect the stresses from the highly competitive nature of the education system.

  • WOW pentax!

  • Beats building a mosque, doesn't it? For all their hate for land in which they live, the damned Muslims are always asking for government money to build mosques, aren't they. We need to tear down a few mosques (Muslims would say blow up).

  • I'd say blow me.

  • Nice to see Pentax get some exposure...;-)

  • From an American: The Bird's Nest is an incredible stadium and the Water Cube is an incredible swimming center. The Opening ceremony was breathtaking, the best thus far in the Olympics. Any Chinese citizen would be proud of what China has accomplished here.

Sure, there are concerns about administrative corruption, poor labor laws and disregard for human rights, but I hope they are temporary blips on this nation's legacy.

  • This is not normal, those Chinese are obsessed. They breed children in little camps to become super athlets. Want to control everthing. etc.

Olympics there was a bad idea, sure it looks good but at what price?

  • Great stadium and camera!!!

  • Hummn! Bird Nest? It looks like a gaint toilet seat to me! Regarding the "fantastic show", Chinese only know one thing and that is Fireworks! LOL Baffoons!

  • He shoots with the best equipment. PENTAX RULES!!!

  • Beats building a mosque, doesn't it?

  • what do you mean by that??? how does that relate?

  • thats not normal, he should photograph other locations. geeeeeeezzz

  • He does good photography... I'm glad he found his passion in life. I wish him the very best :)

  • what a waste of MONEY!

FEED THE POOR, GIVE PEOPLE LAND TO FARM!

  • i couldn't agree more, i heard the other day if you are sick in china and need to go to hospital be prepared to be carried out in a coffin coz your chances of dying in there rise a hundred fold.

they spent 40 billion dollars on these olympics... what a waste! priorities out the window here!

  • He has really steady hands with that camera. It didn't budge an inch when he took that picture.

  • pandixon: "He has really steady hands with that camera. It didn't budge an inch when he took that picture."

You don't think the tripod it was resting on had anything to do with it?

  • its not a nest, its several pentagrams that represent the NWO! fawk that stadium!

  • haterrrrrrr go fk urselffff

  • TRUTH HURTS DOESN'T IT? RESEARCH IT, U MORON!!

u'd be a hater too if u knew the real truth.. but then again, ur one of the many brainwashed out here..

  • If you collect a handful of sticks and throw them in a pile, you will be able to find pentagrams (uneven ones) in the mess. The symbol for NWO is a hexagram. Moron.

  • I wonder if he has ever laid an egg.

  • What obssession!

"The question is not whether we will be extremists but what kind of extremists we will be." ( Martin Luther King Jr. )

  • interesting passion....mmmm.

  • hmm... seems to be rather obsessive doesn't it?

  • Hey, he lives in china. He's chinese. What else will they let the citizens do less it promote the "People".

  • "seems to be rather obsessive doesn't it?"

He's 70. This is how he keeps busy in his retirement. We don't know his story. For all we know, his wife may have passed away, and he may have no other family. This could effectively be his whole life now. He's happy, and not harming anyone. Good luck to him, I say. I just hope some publisher is smart enough to sign him up to compile a book of photos on the subject, so that his works can be preserved, and he feels the satisfaction that comes with that.

  • hey, i am not judging him what ever rocks his boat.

  • rude

    good

clear up the facts of life

    hanx
