  • SPOILER ALERT!!!

    Its a boxy F1 car

  • Look likes a fusion, the front wear of a formula one car, Indy car and Le Mans DP car, and sound sometimes like a American le mans DP but, in other moments like a indy car.

  • why are the cars driving around the track the wrong way?? wtf?

  • @wellslange This is the infield road-course configuration.

  • @wellslange It's on the Indy Road Course track to test that part of it's design. They race the Oval the other, normal, way.

  • Any idea what the lap times were like compared to F1 cars on the same course?

  • That's what shift-without-lift sounds like with a turbo. A little raw fuel gets to the turbo and 'pop'...and as noted there are no downshifts and no lifting on this particular part of the track. This is all flat-out and upshifts, going from the oval T2 area through the road-course T13, which is T1 of the oval done the other way. Flat-out all the way to road-course T1 (just short of oval T4).

  • Umm is the suppose to be that like bang when he downshifts? Cause that doesnt sound to good

  • @dcccapfan Thats the turbo isn't it?

  • @hi262779 It's the engine backfiring when he lifts off the gas

  • @dcccapfan he doesn't downshift once in the entire video...

  • R.I.P dan

  • RIP Dan Wheldon

  • I think this car could have saved Wheldon RIP

  • wow its reminisant of the v6 f1 turbo years that wasnt bad but i would shugest 15000 rpm i mean it would be perfect!!

  • @agurobe6 I think it's even a bit sweeter than the F1 cars were in the turbo era. My guess is the Chevy and Judd engines will be a little flatter in sound due to being twin turbo.

  • Sounds like a Civic, needs about another 7,000 rpm.

  • still gonna be slow and ugly. thats a fact.

  • @MikaOwns Nope, it will be faster. They are just shaking it out right now. It will be able to corner much quicker than the old car. Plus, the current car and engine can go faster than they allow them to. They have so much downforce chocked into them plus the engines are detuned to keep them from hitting the speeds that they could.

  • Folks, I hate to be a downer but I think that this new IndyCar is using 2011 engines. Why? The sound is the same as what is being used currently.

  • @captainjosue Sorry, but not even close. This is obviously a turbo, and obviously a V6. It sounds a bit like a LMP2 car but doesn't sound a think like the current V8.

  • Who was holding the camera? Jittery Jane? Nervous Nancy? Figety Fiona? Shaky Shelly? Movin' Mary? Vibrating Veronica? Sheesh..

  • @MiniCHAMP7 Michael J Fox

  • Much better sound! It kinda reminds me of the old F1 turbo sound of the 80's.

  • The exhaust note is far better, but the car needs to be given a few more revs. It'll be interesting to hear if the Chevy or Lotus-Judd sounds any different.

  • Road course, people.

  • Yeah....it doesn't sound any better. Very disappointed.

  • @flutgos It's muffler that makes it sound like that. Change the muffler, that's all we ask!

  • Right turns?

  • Running backwards?

  • @solopony He's driving the IMS road course genius.

  • FUCKING AWFUL VIDEO, DEFENDER

  • sounds like the same old crap!!!

  • @won2cups

Yer insane ... Sounds way better than the current EARL N/A sled. Although It doesn't sound anywhere near as sweet as the CART era cars, those things were like music. Still, this is an improvement. I do quite like the banging between shifts.

  • Oh much better!

  • Sounds good!
