a) Eddie's too humble and probably asked that he didn't introduce him- and technically the roots had a lot more to do with the song than ed, who only sang jimmy's lyrics (get mad!)

b) Subtlety/sarcasm/irony (although the hipsters ruined some of them) are common languages of 21st century artists and culture.. including and especially eddie vedder. As an activist who has been dealing with this for over a year My thanks go out to this guy!!!! This is great!!! May become our new theme song lol.. This sounds like a song that should be pitched to Jimmy Buffet... Right up his alley...Yes ..the storm brought some of the Tar Mats that continue to lay on the bottom of the Gulf. The oil will continue to come ashore for many many years because BP used a toxic dispersant to sink it instead of cleaning it off the surface. Still a nightmare for us all
