Those platforms look so unstable wonder how anyone could standup on them, can't understand during the UK version of this event if it was shown that the contender or gladiator was in a position where they were unable to defend themselves, touched the others platform or stepped across it was an automatic win to the opposite player Aussie rules are clearly not as harsh John Anderson was the best ref though!!
@bigbabs86 This was the very start of the Aus series and they were A LOT easier on the rules then, which was the same as the U.K. Series 2 and 3 they were automatically disqualified.
That was so awesome. That show is as fast paced and as exciting as I remember it to be. Flame rocked, and I remember why she was my favourite, because no challenger had a chance at her up on that podium. The new show is no match to this kind of excitement.
this is so much better than the new one. the duel sticks are smaller than this and nearly every gladiater makes lame comments, the only one who is any good is thunder.
Yeh your old series was similar to ours in the UK - it used the same music that kicked ass! Your new series is also good though imo, its a better recreation than our new uk one thats followed the american one more than following our old uk series. The music's the main thing that lets your new series down, its crap compared to the old music.. and obviously so's our new series'.
vulcan always won this challenge he never lost but the only thing he cud lose at wud hav been the pyramid. he was great at tackling but wen he fell he was so big he cud never get back up again in time to stop the competitor from reaching the top!
i remember this show so well, like 2 years ago i found a sticker on an old cupboard from when i went to a show at the entertainment centre. Hi-5 to 'Where Are They Now' for bringing it back! they should easily replay these!
Wow how did they not pick up on the pugil sticks being far too big! The UK sticks were slimmer and more easier to weild instead of being cumbersome

I will be in the Studio Audience on Gladiators 2008. Also I've met Tower and Hammer when the gladiators where first on back in the 90's.
