@theadizo both the zr1 and z06 are better handling than GTR ( at least on nurburgring ) and have a better top speed and a debatable 1/4 mile ( depends on drivers ) but the GTR is a way easier car to drive... It has more options and a way way better interior... Also it is not as common on the road because it doesn't have a low price version like corvette coupe ( 50k ) ... If you want full out performance and you are a skilled driver go with z06 or zr1

I've driven a ZR1. With all the traffic on the hiways in the Bay Area I only had a few seconds to open it up, didn't even get it out of 3rd gear but had a big 'ol smile on my face when my quick glance at the speedo showed 140mph :)

@outlawsonic The semi truck is there to cancel out the wind resistance by pushing the air forward on the race track. This makes it easier for the ZR1 to achieve it's top speed quicker. I also try and drive behind semi's on the freeway b/c it gives me better gas mileage by not having a lot of wind resistance.
and the semi driver gets pissed off cause his fuel economy goes to shit when u take its air n drive up by it, but u have to be very close to get air from a semi n help ur fuel economy !
thats not a race track or highway it is a independent test track in Germany open for all kind of vehicle testing incl. semi.. the test ground is called ATP Automotive Testing Papenburg it is a pretty new one finished in 2002.

@XelaXor You're way off there bud. Those are not 1/10th miles. One mile every 5 seconds would come out to 1,056 feet per second. 5,280 / 5 seconds = 1,056 FPS.
1,056 FPS = 720 miles per hour.
They claim 207 MPH in this video. 207 MPH = 303.6 FPS. That equates to a mile every 17.39 seconds. Still, very quick.
