@charrose11 all seasons and generations of skins are incredible, but you can not forget the old characters (sid, tony, cassie, michelle, jal, anwar, Maxxie and Chris) and give an opportunity for new of 3 to 4 season (cook , katie, emily, jj, pandora, freddy, thomas and Effy) and 5 to 6 season (nick, franky, mini, alo, rich, grace, matty and liv) that are equally good

It's going to be sad. But I think after Monday's episode, I'm finished with Skins. I haven't enjoyed S2 all that much and the killing of Chris makes me mad, almost like the creators were just trying to prove to us that they're closing the book on this cast for good. Why couldn't they have killed Anwar? Or Maxxie? Or even Tony? Anyone but Chris.

Series 2 had it's moments, but it's not the show I fell in love with last year. Every episode seemed to be about heaping as much soap opera misery upon the characters as it could and it just didn't resonate with me like series 1 did.

And yes, I probably will check out series 3 to see what it's like, but I don't see myself keeping track of it. The new cast of characters thing really bugs me and I really don't like Effy, so the prospect of her leading the new cast doesn't thrill me.

i can't believe all the characters are being written off. Character i'd probably miss most is Cassie! personally, i think they should leave it with an open ending, and the end of season 2 and not do a season 3. But that's just my opinion. If it is left open (i don't think it will), it'll keep people talking and wondering what could've happened. I'm not sure if i'll watch next season, given they all leave. Like many other shows including the office, keeping it at 2 seasons retains its brilliance.

The Office is a completely different circumstance though. Technically, they are "keeping" it at Series 2 to retain the brilliance, hence why they're getting new characters, new cast, and new story lines.
