  • you are so lucky !! they are truly beautiful , cute, and so small , a very different species to appreciate

  • this is a lovely video!!! best i have seen of the hummingbird videos... you should post many more!!!

  • Oh, wow! That is something to see! Thank you for all your feeders.

  • Bless you for feeding them. You probably saved their lives since they have to feed very often to survive.

  • What feeders are you using? What is the very large one that has so many ports for the birds? What is your favorite feeder of all?

  • Poor little things.... they must've been starving. There's none of the usual territorial bickering, fighting & posturing one usually sees around feeders such as these. I'll be they drained them dry in no time!

  • Wonder if they'd taste like chicken nuggets.

  • awwwwww. I love hummingbirds!

  • That is simply incredible!

  • My cat, Moses, loves this video! He normally doesn't pay much attention to what I'm doing on the computer. I had it full screen & it caught his eye. He watched the whole thing, lol.

  • THANKS FOR SHARING....they are precious creators

  • I love seeing so many hummingbirds at once. How do you keep wasps and yellow jackets away from your feeders? I have tried keeping my feeders clean and putting out wasp traps but wasps still go to my feeders. I don't want my hummers to get stung.

  • If there is such a thing as a "cute horror flick," I've just witnessed it.

  • I thought first those were bees flitting around.

    Impressive!

  • WOW. I only saw one hummingbird at my feeder, so I gave it up as I was tired of putting out new food everyday and only seeing one.

    This is amazing.

  • @TheYoungTurdz Oh that's too bad. Even one gets thirsty and if it builds it's nest nearby, it will make a habit of coming to your feeder.

We have a feeder and a few nest near us and come to drink. Their babies follow along eventually.

Please reconsider. They would appreciate it:)

  • @TheYoungTurdz Hummingbirds are typically very territorial, so it's not abnormal to only have a single hummingbird come to your feeder. We only have one that comes too, even though I know there are plenty of other hummers around, but he's adorable, so I don't mind.

  • @embley02 OK. Maybe I will get back to feeding them. I was so thorogh in keeping the feeder clean, I thought maybe they just didn' like it. Thanks.

  • @TheYoungTurdz Don't use bleach on the feeders, and be sure to rinse them very thoroughly, the birds are very sensitive to any chemicals used.

  • @dovie2blue Yes, yes! Thanks!!!

  • OMG, I'm in shock! I can't believe how many are there! It's amazing, I've never seen so many together before. I'm getting more feeders!

  • I can help you with your infestation of flying roadents....

  • @TheManSand322 LMAO!!!!!

  • Incredible! I don't think I've ever seen so many at once!

  • How nice! The can actually SIT DOWN it feed!

  • They must be very hungry!

  • dang!what a sight!

  • They all look like they are members of the same species. Do you know what it is? Also, they seem to lack the iridescence of many hummingbirds. Regardless, quite awesome!

  • @NOLAMarathon2010 They are Rubythroats. And they would normally fight instead of getting along that well, the males are very very territorial and never drink at a feeder together. They must have been so hungry! The colors of their feathers depends on the sun, it looks like it was cloudy still from the storm. Also, the females are duller in color than the males and don't have the ruby at their throat. Looks like a good number of these are females.

  • @NOLAMarathon2010 They are Ruby-throated Hummingbirds.

  • Whoa I've never seen that many hummingbirds

  • SOOOO HUUUNGRYYY!!! ( read in tiny hummingbird voice)

  • FYI: These are all Ruby throated Hummers. It's the only species normally found in the east. Hummers are very territorial. When you see them vertical and fanning their tail feathers, that's their way of saying "get out of my space".

  • This makes me very sad, the fact that so much of their food was destroyed that this is the only few that got to your house and many, probably thousands starved because all their nectar sources were wiped out. Hopefully the species is not hurt badly because of this disaster.

  • What a sight that must have been, to look out of your window and see that!

  • WOW! As a wild bird store owner in Vermont , I can report similar but not nearly the spectacular behavior you have here. Just amazing scenes!

  • Wow, that is A LOT of hummingbirds! I often wonder what small animals like this do during times of crisis like hurricanes or just bad storms. Glad they all stayed safe. I have only 2 that frequent my feeder. Well, that I know of anyway, lol.

  • I am surprised that there were no hummingbird beak duels for position.

  • @Wildcat425B They were obviously too hungry to do a lot of fighting! Poor little birdies! They must have thought they were in paradise with so much food!

  • OMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

  • it's almost like they are bug's, idk if that many would be enjoyable

  • MINE!

  • Definitely expected to see hummingbirds whipping past the camera in 90mph winds.

  • Am I the only one who gets the urge to run through there madly swinging a butterfly net?

  • I bet 1 bird found it and is like, hey over here, then another bird said, hey over here to another, so on and so on, good stuff!

  • Also the flowers have been destroyed. They are desperate for food. You may need to add the special vitamin rich nectar for hummer. Poor thing you never know what is truly effected by hurricanes. So sad...

  • FEMA for birds! Bless you!

  • Where was this taken? Anyone knows?

  • I lost a blue spruce where our hummingbirds used to nest -- they had a direct path to my feeders, and we used to get swarms of them. Does anyone know other varieties of trees hummers like?

  • Totally awesome!! And I getexcited when I see ONE. ;-)

  • I love how they're all waiting their turns nicely. Too cute!

  • @JessEric777 they are much friendlier than Finches, those birds fight each other like crazy for food haha!

  • @JessEric777 There are a lot of females in that bunch, the males are not so nice to each other! LOL but even the males were so hungry and probably weak that they had to at least get tanked up for their battles later.

  • Amazing - they aren't even fighting!

  • WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHW LOVE!

  • WOW never seen so many!!!! very cool!!!

  • Wow! I've never seen anything like this! Interesting that it is mostly females, I didn't notice any males. They sure were appreciative of your nectar-making skills!

  • That is amazing. You must have had to refill it a few times. Glad you all made it through.
