What if you can't relate either to Christian Rock or Traditional Hymns like Kumbaya? I'm saved by Jesus Christ the Lord, and I have a real hard time with the bland style of Church music. The GOD IAM of Heaven and Earth, who created ALL the universe and basically gave Satan when he was Lucifer the gift of music, would really have cheesey corny music in Heaven that is the dull organ stuff you hear in traditional Churches?? I feel this style of music is more closer to the truth of Heaven's music.
The Lamb is worthy and has conquered. The Lamb has been slain, being the sacrifice for sin. The Lamb is now alive and full power. The Lamb has full understanding. And verse 7, "He came and He took out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne the little scroll." That moment is the most significant moment yet in human history...the moment when Jesus Christ takes the little scroll and begins to inaugurate the recovery of the lost universe, lost to sin, Satan, death and hell.
We sang this for the first time at our church today and I was so moved by it I came home and searched all over for it. It is such a powerful, spirit-filled song and God certainly blessed Gateway Worship while they perform it.
Come behold the man with holes in His hands. Thank you Jesus for dying for us. Thank you for purchasing us with Your precious blood. Glory to You forever and ever.
This music, singing, atmosphere, brings me into an encounter I heard...similarly; the power and beauty of those words, blended with a majestic sound enjoined with heaven and broadcasted back to my spirit. You alone, oh God, are worthy. I feel His presence, and how wonderful is that!
I think this song is under-rated (hit-wise) It is a gorgeous song to the King of King's and Lord of Lord's. Even though the choir plays a big part, I want to do this as a worship song. It has a "throne room" feel for lack of a better term. I love the way this song builds. When the choir sings the first chorus, they truly sound like angels!! It's as if you are literally before Jesus, the Lamb of God. The guy does a great job. As for Kari Jobe, I love her purity of voice. Great Worship Gateway!
As much as I love impassioned Praise & Worship music, I long for the overwhelming feast of the senses that we will know constantly and eternally, in His presence.
While on this earth though, my heart will always expand with that hope when I hear praise like this... and yes I believe He IS with us when we worship even alone, but moreso toghether.
Beautiful song. I love the lighting effect on the choir. It's almost like they are there in God's presence. Come to think of it, aren't they? Whenever we worship we enter into HIS presence.
