Amare scores most of the time with the Pick-and-Roll play, depending mostly on Nash's plays. Have you seen the time when the Suns were playing without Nash last season? The Suns looked so disoriented. While Howard, if you give him the ball to the post, he can create his own shot and dominate in the paint.

Championships teams are always anchored by a big man with great replica of moves such as Kareem, Hakeem, Shaq, Duncan, and possibly Garnett in the future. Amare and Dwight are not the type of big men who will get you a championship.
You also have to take into account how much talent Amare has around him and the constant non double teams he is getting whereas dwight is always being double teamed because he has a shitty team that can't make open jumpshots. Amare scores most of the time with the Pick-and-Roll play, depending mostly on Nash's plays. Have you seen the time when the Suns were playing without Nash last season? The Suns looked so disoriented. While Howard, if you give him the ball to the post, he can create his own shot and dominate in the paint.

dwight howard definitley cant create by himself,just watch a magic game or somethin. and the suns do look bad without nash but thats not the point. amare still puts up huge numbers without nash not only because he has more shots but he can create as well with the jumper.and its not like they pic and roll every possession. if amare played as many minutes as dwight he would be on the pace for 30 plus points, do the math. and even though amare plays less minutes, he still averages more points

dwight has about 20 pounds and 2 inches on amare and its clear to every1 when they watch them next to eachother.amare has a finess game cause of his team.when he was a rookie if u remember steph and the boys gave him the ball on the block and he was dominating the same.dwight is probably the closest thing to shaq in his prime and maybe a better athlete than shaq ever was.amare could be the best power forward if he worked with tim duncan every year.he has the athleticism just needs tutolage

amare is much more complete than howard, because of his range shooting. but statistical wise howard is better because of his rebs, its because he doesnt get real help with lewis and turkoglu. in amare's case he has inside help like shawn marion 1 of the leagues leaders in rpg so he is averaging just 9 rpg. we can't tell yet who is better because dwight is still improving and amare is recovering, they still have room for improvement. both players are good but amare is better. amare all the way!

all i got to say is amare is a better player. with out steve nash out amare is averaging about 27ppg.a majority of dwight howards points are from pic and roll dunks and cleanups from shard and hedo. take them away nd is only a good rebounder and shot blocker which can only get you so far, just look at ben wallace. amare is a better player because he can create his own shot. because he can do so well without nash he would dominate being on a team like the sixers

I'm sorry, Shard= all star, Hedo= having an all star year, Nelson= having a great year as well, and last year Dwight has less talent around him(It's true) but Amare had better stats. If you were to search on Stoudemire highlight vids on youtube, it will show an extremely dominant and explosive Amare right before his microfracture surgery. He doesn't utilize any jumpshots, and can be shown powering through Tim Duncan, Dikembe Mutumbo, Karl Malone, and Yao Ming who are all decent forwards and centers. Which I have yet to see Howard do.

When you have children typing expletives to further Amare's cause, that's saying a lot. Do Amare a favor and stop defending him because you're embarrassing yourselves. With that said, both are good players, but most NBA GMs would take Dwight. They actually polled all NBA GMs recently and only Lebron received more votes than Dwight. I don't even think Amare was on the list. Dwight is doing more with less right now. Amare may only be the 3rd best player on his team.

One thing that Howard is head and shoulders better than Amare at is rebounding. For his career Stoudemire is averaging only 9 boards per game, while Howard is averaging 11.8. Stoudemire has never averaged over 10 boards per game in any season. Howard has done that every year he has played.

Lakers I agree. Both of these players are only dunkers and thats it. They cant post up like shaq or duncan. They cant shake players or hit from nearly anywhere like garnett. Also like Lakers said they cant create their own shots. Championships teams are always anchored by a big man with great replica of moves such as Kareem, Hakeem, Shaq, Duncan, and possibly Garnett in the future. Amare and Dwight are not the type of big men who will get you a championship.

You also have to take into account how much talent Amare has around him and the constant non double teams he is getting whereas dwight is always being double teamed because he has a shitty team that can't make open jumpshots. Before Nash, all Amare was was a dunker, with Nash, all he is is a dunker. He did develop a nice mid range shot and it showed during this past season, but make no mistake about it, he cannot create his own shot, neither can Dwight. They have much learning to do.

Howard doesn't need a J. He is a pure 5. Look at the pure strength he has. I mean Amare hits him right on the arm on the first dunk and Howard still slams it like nothing happened. And everyone moves out of the way when Howard has it deep in the post. Howard just needs to use more fakes down low. Get his defender in the air then they have no chance to stop him.

Both are my favorite centers. Dwight is a monster and will get better. Amare** "I don't know"- he is still recovering from injuries and hopefully he can get his explosive again, if not he's going to be like McDyess wich is not bad, but not great. Dwight is and will be the best player.
