  • wooooooooo....tu hai una padronanza delle catene che fai paura complimenti.......

  • how long have you been spinning for?

  • Beautiful! And I love the way the camera gives a vertical blue bar artifact to the flame as he moves!

  • amazing movement & insanely good music it's put too as well! he changes direction & BTB vs in front him so quick you really have to check his wrist positions for a lot of tricks, which sorta distracts from the overall poi effect but damn i wanna absorb some of that muscle skill & refined memory just by proxy! also, so far u r the only rival to nick woosley that 've seen. u may even be more creative. -jake

  • This is truly a wonderful spin video! I love that it was not really scripted that way true inspiration is born and new moves can form from the innocence of fun!

You show Elegance, Grace, and a true Love for Poi even when you are not in front of a crowd oohing and aahing at your amazing gift and talent for the art of poi.

  • dude can you tell me what the move is at1:40??

  • @ravekiddie don´t know if it has a name if that is what the question is?

  • @nevisoul well maybe if you could showcase it sometime in a tutorial maybe i dont know thatd be nice i watch it alot so im trying to get it..but ill leave that up to you.

  • @ravekiddie its crazy isnt never seen that before he is isolating it with the center of his hand, with it being the pivot crazy!

  • @ravekiddie

I cant post the link here but go to homeofpoi and under poi lessons go to lock-outs/take-outs section. Under basic lock-outs youll find the tutorial to learn these if you havent already.

  • @ravekiddie lock outs o take outs

  • May peace be upon you Thomas!!! Your spinning inspires me.....

  • I remember I also recorded a video of me at that same night in Philam Park. I remember I was quite shy cos you were watching me. Hahaha. But my spin that night turned out pretty good. It's one of my faves. I posted it as a video comment here.

Hope to cross paths with you again soon.

    Patrick

  • Youre are perfect, Everything I aspire to be. =)

  • I need to tell you, that this, in my humble opinion, one of the best vids of your last posts.

I really enjoy burns like that. "Feel a good burn". "No fancy tech stuff."

Just let the soul spin, flow and pendulum.

    I really love it :)

Hope to see you in July at the EJC.

  • great~~~

  • King of Poi-yes!

  • Hi Thomas! It's been a while. Great vid! It brought back memories when you were wtill here in the Phils. Thanks again for dropping by in our QC class. Till your next visit! =)

  • Yay the Philippines! My family is from Davao :). i hope you got to try some halo halo after that performance. I love watching you spin; it's a calm, like the ebb and tide. Now that I found you, I'll be watching your vids a lot; I don't have anyone to poi with where I live so I watch a lot of videos. I hope I can spin as beautifully as you one day...

  • great video

    you have such original moves...

i already said that, but guys like alienjon, zan, you, nick and other are taking the poi art to a new level

    greetings from brazil

  • scratch that... i just watched "some new/old poistuff" vid and those same moves were named in the vid :)

    regarding your class.Huhuhuh

Anyways, thanks for the message and the hybrid thing you wrote to me. That helped a lot.

    Hope to spin with you.

  • lovely. i love that your idea of no fancy tech stuff is so techy and fun. :)

  • Your an inspiration to us all! See you at firedrums?!

  • Off course, Firedrums it is and it´s going to be epic :P

  • [Isis poi head]----(chain)------[quick link]+[swivels]+[quick link]+[handles] Is that right??

    ------------

That´s right, exactly like that, try it out and tell me how it it works for you?!

Enjoy the fire and the orbitals :P

  • Comment removed

  • THANK YOU~~! : )

  • Comment removed

  • Hmmm, I was watching your channel to find a photo or a video cos I bet I remember when I see you :)

Yes swivels is almost a must to do good orbitals with the Isis and the black chain and the only place I know is on HomeOfPoi(dot)com.

And don´t apologize for your English :)

  • Man...ur the best.. No way

    Many different movs... body expression..

    u rox!

    love the way u spin...

    thanks for inspiration

  • damn man, u r tooooo good!!!

i am happy that i have seen you in mae sot!

would love to have again the feeling of poi inside me!

if i start again, u r my inspiration, dude! ;o)

    cu

    claus

    holadri-holaredidia-holaredgugu...

  • That song is still in my head :D

Mae Sot, beautiful times, beautiful people and it was really nice to meet you again.

If you start spinning again you´re going to be your own inspiration, I saw you spinning, it´s in your blood, soul and mind :P

See you around and I look forward to it!

Smiles of happines from to you...

  • If you will be some day in Poland pleasss tell me :D

You are realy realy good POIer :)

  • You don´t need to say please, I will let you know if I come for a visit, maybe this summer, who knows :P

And you are a really good nunchakuer :)

  • Just curious, are you using the standard chains that Salza sends, the black welded chain? And what kind of fuel are you using?

  • Curiosity is good :D

Hmmm, as I didn´t sort out the fuel for this evening I can´t tell for sure, but I would guess kerosene. If you want a 100% answer you could ask "patrickablir" here on youtube, he knows.

The chains are the black welded chain.

    You using the same?

  • I definitely want to. The Isis poi make such a beautiful flame, and I can't wait to use 'em - once the weather here in NYC is warmer.

I'm really excited to use 'em. I've just always had a problem with heavy chains that keep going after I stall the poi head.

  • I liked it. :) But are you left handed?? I was going to ask about the heads, but they are what I thought according to the end of the video... I'm going to get some so soon... but a lot of the movements I do now go close to my body, I might have to adopt your hairstyle. :P

I'd like to see some of your geeky stuff. :D Even if its just a few short shots like another vid you have on this chan.

  • Nope I´m a righty but fully aware of the fact that I spin like a lefty :-/

The firesafety hairstyle is safe, comfy and easy to take care off :P

Someday there will be more geekyness, some day.....

  • Love the pointy toe music ;)

    Krap orm

    Massive poi respect from Phangers

    AIT

  • Your fluidity is just amazing. If you ever are in New York City, I'd love to spin with you.

  • you have such a clean and fluid style. i take alot of inspiration away from your videos and blend in to my own work in progress style.

    happy spinning

  • You are so amazing, please take me on as your student! lol

  • Just come here wherever I am, always happy to teach :D

Keep spinning and keep enjoying it!

  • its really cool =)

  • goddammit, watchin' you spin makes me miss you even more thomas, i really hope i'll be able to come for a visit next year - wherever the hell you are by then

as always a pleasure to see your amazing flow

    lotsaloove

    sköt om dig mannen

  • Dude, you never fail to amaze me with how smooth your spinning is! Very inspiring!! There was a couple of things in there that I've never tried before that I'll have a go at! Thanks again, was a fantastic spin!!

    -Dae-

  • Dear Thomas! This video is the most beautiful about you where you showed your real skills not just to spin,to make a whole performance!I like the way you move together with music and that you left the sound of the fire in the video. You simply make the poi dance:)All this made me very happy, watching your long Swedish arms spin with that clearity. Thanks!!

  • realy good spin and music :)

    4:35 and i want more :D

  • "no fancy tech stuff, sorry"

what you'd consider fancy tech stuff scares me dude. great seeing you so relaxed and in the moment, but your spinning always strikes me as that, and the hard stuff is just effortless. fantastic flow. cheers.

  • snusk tomas.

  • Crazy skills, incredible flow, techpoi mixed with flow... Thomas, you continue to amaze me :)

Keep spinning, keep shooting movies and keep getting me inspired to better myself in the art of poi.

    Thanks!

  • love the stalls, prolly cuz i suk doing them, also whats the name from 3:49 to 3:53? i know its a flower, but i wanna know the actual name for that move since i wanna do it constantly like you but can only do it once when im doing crossers!

  • who is the performer? is osome!! his style reminds me the 1st place of the fJf

  • beautiful... abolutely beautiful. fluid, like water... except... with fire =D

    You rock =)

  • Yeepa!

Beautiful! I still love your speed changing, contorsions and some geeky stuff you do here. Very fluid and calm... All that i like.

Mister clean, for sur, keep that way!

Hope to see you again very soonly my friend. Have some great time!

    Cyrille

  • Anytime you come to england brother you got a place a stay. We will get a pizza the size of a dustbin lid

  • your poi control is amazing.

  • Thomas, you're so good it hurts! Love to see your spinning, no matter what the vibe - refreshing to see both the complex and simple moves executed with such precision. Oh, and i'm happy to see the mistakes not edited out! it reminds me that you are in fact human :-D

    Keep the videos coming. :)

  • relaxing with joy and fun.excellent!

  • The horizontal stalls were simply pimpalicious.

Yay for under the leg stuff =]

  • ok so the nut thing my impede my spinning, maybe some milk tray could sway the deal.

  • It´s a deal :) That or a Extravaganza Pizza from Domino´s, I´m there!

  • hey thomasssssssss. thanks for the thank you memo patrick "delivered" to us! we enjoyed your company! hope you could visit planet zips again!

  • simply the best:))))))))))

  • awesome stallng 5/5

  • Thomas as always a pleasure to watch! You always inspire to go out and play =)

    Kerry

  • Stunning- so fluid and considered.

I'm worried by your comment "It´s just a good feeling spin so no techy, geeky poi stuff this time"; are you kidding?! I know there's REALLY techy geeky stuff out there but you're doing a lot of complex things in that vid :)

  • Thank you very much for the beautiful words even though I don´t know how to translate considered :D

But I must ask out of curiosity what you see in this video that is complex. For me the most complex/difficult/advanced thing in this video is the hyperloop at 0:33.

  • Complexity is a matter or perspective. Many would consider the hybrids at 1:57-2:03 complex. Others would find the behind the back stuff advanced. And others still would feel the under the leg moves, isolations and cateyes were advanced. I even consider the 3 beat weave to be one of the more difficult moves to learn, but it's considered by some to be an "easy" move, simply because it is a beginner's move as it's fundamental.

  • I also feel that there is near infinite from for improvement and stylisation of even the most "basic" moves. Moves are as complicated as you allow them to be. I'm realising how much I prefer to see beginner to intermediate movements performed with style and grace than highly tech moves performed either uncleanly or in a boring and/or conventional way, simply tech for the sake of tech. You exhibited the prior in this video, with your movements so smooth and clean to be near perfection.

  • I see a lot of small technicalities that are really nicely executed- the stalls and long arm transitions for example are relatively common, but they just work really well with your style and flow. (Nathaniel sums a lot of what I was thinking up very well)

'Considered'- does 'deliberate' help at all? :)

  • Excellent work as always ;)

The horizontal stalls you do at 3:50 is something ive been doing lately :P thought I´d be first with them. You´re even doing it exactly like me, when you´re bending your body :D Fun shit!

The snow has come to Sweden and I can´t be outdoors anymore which is killing my desire to poi - No longarm pirouettes, no joy in spinning :|

Keep up the divine work and take care!

  • Fire God

  • Very, very nice.

This is probably my favorite solo spin of yours when you were here in Manila (and that's not because you were using my poi. Haha)

I'm currently editing the video of our duo spin at the beach. I should be able to post it soon. So just watch out for it. Man, i still get amazed when i watch it =)

    Much love from me.

  • very fluent well done

  • i would give up my left nut to spend a week spinning with you tom.

  • Ok, put it in a bag and send to someone that´s in need of your left nut, email me some kind of proof (preferable not a photo showing that you only got one left) and I come over for a week. Probably you will be in severe pain after your surgery so there wont be much spinning anyways :(

  • It's super 5/5

  • What can I say more than it's fantastic. I very like this calm and perfection in your move.

  • extremly good!

  • its watching these videos that i benefit most. its not over the top stuff, it gives me confidence that i can do this kind of show :) a great spin and i look forward to the next
