Between Michael and Lewis it´s all down to what is happening around them, Michael won 7 titles because of a mix of events, a team centered in him, a partner downsized so he doens´t have opposition on the team, great cars for 4 years in a row and unefficient competition, only one contender per year and with cars that brake engines or other parts every two races.

Lewis has it much more difficult, 3 pilots fighting for the title, 3 big teams and how many broken engines/parts did we saw? Few, so...

The ugly truth about F1 is that people like Alonso who rarely overtake and rather keep his position to prevent crashes often end up top of the championship table. Entertaining and truly talented drivers like Lewis often end up short.

In 2010 both Red Bull cars were faster than Hamilton's McLaren. As much as I hate to admit it, Alonso had a faster car as well. So, being kind, Lewis had - at best - the 4th best car. But according to the stats, Massa ran faster than Lewis most of the time. You guys are preaching to the choir because I love Lewis as much as any of you. But you must be realistic.

Im a fan of LH and i do believe he is probs the most talented driver to arrive in F1 since shuey did at spa in 91, but saying he is the best ever is pushing it a bit plus its far to early to say, judge him in 10/15 years once he has retired but to say he is the best ever isn't right, think about some of the guys your comparing him to, Fangio, Clark, Stewart, Senna, Schumacher, Prost (under rated IMO), Piquet (Snr not Jnr) :P and Lauda, maybe one day but not yet.

Lewis Hamilton has proven this year that he is the best driver in the world. Let's face it, McLaren has simply lost the development battle to Red Bull and Ferrari. In the 5th best car, Lewis is winning the World Championship. How do you explain that if he isn't the best in the world. Mark my words - Lewis Hamilton will eventually eclipse every record in F1, including Schumacher's mark of 7 World Championships. He is unlike anything we have seen before in F1. A total fighter with no fear.

Michael's domination years were the result of 4 years full of bad luck and still never giving up, always pushing the car and the team to the limits, and finally getting awarded for that. Ok i understood liegate but now this video shows to me that Lewis did nothing wrong!? I now don't understand what we did wrong after this video. He clearly let Trulli back in front of him. Or were the team lying and is that why letting Trulli back in front him was the lie? McLaren ruined a good 4th Place for Lewis :( Possibly 3rd if the FIA didn't allow Trulli back to his normal position!

Great video. It goes out to prove that the problem with overtaking in formula 1 is not an engineering problem but a driver problem. I love how most drivers will approach pretty much every circuit saying "it is very difficult to overtake there, almost impossible" and then you get Hamilton overtaking cars as if it was GP2

I would have thought you would be allowed to overtake someone who went off whilst under the Safety Car, as long as you didn't cause him to go off and he was so far off that it'd take a long time for them to get back on track. Also, I noticed you uploaded this on my 16th birthday :P.
