it may have to do where he's playing on the strings. i know on my acoustic the closer to the bridge i play the more different it sounds cause the core of the vibrations aren't over the hole directly to echo/amplify.

maybe his guitar is a bit older.. when guitars get older, (especially handmade ones) the sound becomes more n more mellow, which is why older guitars always sound the best =O

You are wrong. Probably you are american, and ive noticed that american people are not able to distiguish a spanish(classic) guitar from an acoustic guitar. This one is a classic(spanish) guitar and thats why it sounds to you so "mellow", so different of what you are used to hear, becouse the most comon guitars in your country are acoustic...or electric ofcourse

The true difference between a classical guitar and an acoustic is the width of the fretboard. Classical guitars usually have nylon strings as opposed to the steel strings used normally on acoustic which is why they are thought to have a mellower sound, but the strings aren't type-specific. I'm actually planning on getting nylon strings for my acoustic.

the only dissonate chord is 2:37 but still it is not a mistake. It was meant to sound like that.

I've been a musician for over 10 years now, and listening through this song, I hear no mistakes, and/or dissonant notes, the only thing you MAY be right on is the chord, but it didn't sound bad in any way shape or form... I think you just need to learn what you're talking about
