@DaBobdaGuy I don't understand what you mean, this is from the start. I think you might be turned around because the ps3 has absolutely nothing to do with this. Pull out the cords, wrap it up and store it away because the console has absolutely no connection with this process. All you need is the controller and the controller's usb cord...well, and a windows computer of course.

Just skip the whole total game control or xpadder step, that's for games without gamepad support. The game might map the buttons in a funny way but there may be an option to configure the button layout in game.

Actually the cable that comes with your ps3 controller connects your controller to the pc's usb port, your thinking of ps2 and its not quite so easy as I'd describe it as "Bing."

It'll still work fine, you might have to re-sync it with your ps3 though, all you would have to do is plug it into your ps3 and hold down the ps button for 2-3 seconds.
