As far as the Colts organization goes, both Baltimore and Indianapolis have witnessed legendary QBs and experienced great success. Why so bitter? The Ravens have a Super Bowl, the Indy Colts have a Super Bowl. Flipping off players and fans that had nothing to do with the team leaving is insane.
In a "what if" situation the Ravens could go 16-0 and have a 30 point average margin of victory and the Colts could go 9-7 and barely make it into the playoffs and Peyton Manning have is worst season. But they would still beat the Ravens 10-3 or something like that. It doesn't matter how good the Ravens are, they cannot beat the Colts. It is a physical impossibility
Wasnt that good? They were number 1 in the league in total defense. Led the league in take aways. 2nd in sacks, allowed under 1,000 total rushing yards all year? and gave up a league low 12 points per game.
@MrBobbyFinstock No, you get the fingers because that's what Irsay gave Baltimore. Peyton is a GREAT QB and deserves every bit of credit he gets, but we just outright hate you. Probably the worst thing is INDY laying claims to our city's records. You are some shameless bastards so tit for tat is what we will give you.
@MrBobbyFinstock If you're referring to Unitas as one of those QB's that belong to the Indianapolis organization, you should realize that Unitas never wanted to have anything to do with Indy. So just because the records were never given back to Baltimore, the fact is that the heart of Johnny Unitas remained in Baltimore. Oh, and in 1998 when Indy came to play against the Ravens in Baltimore, where was Unitas? On the Ravens sidelines! :) Just thought I'd fill you in.
gosh thats stupid to give Peyton the finger cause they used to be the Baltimore colts and plus even though im a hardcore Ravens fan you gotta be giving Peyton credit, hes gonna be one of the best QB's in history soon enough.
This year the Colts will do so much better with Donald Brown. Also, our new punter, Pat McAfee(or however you spell it) is amazing, and I think we will beat the Titans because the Titans aren't going to do as well without Albert Haynesworth.
Absolutely! My Dad is a Ravens fan (we live in MD) and he told me the other day that the Ravens are beating the Colts this year. I said, I don't think so buddy...chaulk it up, it'll be 4 years in a row!
Speaking of, that 44-20 two years ago in Baltimore, I was at that game. :-D EPIC.
i want you to know we got a kick ass coach new running fresh out of college training his ass off as you read this a young guy coming into indy i like it indy colts superbowl champs 2009 13-3
if the colts didnt have manning, freeny, bob sanders, reggie wayne, marvin harrison, bethea(the one who intercepted it at the goalline) u guys wouldve had a chance, but u guys had steve mcnohair.. nuff said
we were in that game the whole time, 15-6... thats a 2 score game bud.... don't talk like it was some huge blow out.... and don't talk like your team dominated ours, cause thats just retarded, I'd say you take sanders off that list, and we would have won that game
I'm a Colts fan...but I agree 100%. It was a tough game, and like Peyton said, to go into Baltimore against a Ravens team that was on a roll, and play against THATY defense...man, that was tough. The Ravens put up a helluva a fight, and being born and raised in MD (I still live here) I was rootin' for 'em in the AFCCG last year. Hell, I root for them in every game, unless their playing the Colts of course. This year'll be tough...it is every year. No win is ever easy, especially against BAL's D.
My reasoning for it all, is that the ravens got rid of mcalister, who was constantly getting beat by harrison, whom the colts got rid of
our Defense is moving more towards a base, instead of the moving around crap, which manning killed with his audibles.. hell now that I think about it, it struggles against the experienced/good QBs
Our QB is better than we we played you all last year, and our corners are fasater..... I think we'll win it, but IF we do lose it, its not going to be blown out
I can see what you mean there. We did lose Harrison...but it seemed like last year, and the year before, the big threat to your defense was Anthony Gonzalez.
McCalister wasn't a bad CB...his problem came when he tried to do too much, I think.
Don't get me wrong, the Ravens D has a lot of reasons to be cocky; Ray Lewis, Ed Reed...just to name a few. But Chris McCalister wasn't one of them.
Flacco is a beast, for sure. I love that guy. He'll be the next Manning/Brady. (TBC)
Now, our defense has had some problems with the run...but not the pass, not as much anyway. But you can bet that this year, with a new coach, a new DC, we'll be rushing the QB a lot more, and sending a lot more run blitzes. And as long as Bob is still healthy (fingers crossed lol) and Bethea is playing well, which he usually does, we'll do ok.
I hope we win, but one thing's for sure...it'll be a helluva game. And if you do win, I'll never hear the end from my parents, lol.
Yeah, we've got a new D.C. too, and with him using the base defense, you could almost guarantee that the score deficite won't be nearly as big as it has been, and rush as much as you'd like, our O-Line could quite possibly be one of the best in the league ... def the youngest (we've got gaither who has shut down every major rusher on the Left, and Oher on the right)
so Minus a major injury bug like we had in 07, it will definately be a game to keep your eyes on lol.......
Ha ha, yeah. I don't have anything against the Ravens...I just chose to follow the Colts since they were Baltimore's original team. Like I said, I root for the Ravens in every other game :-D.
I mean, you can't argue with a rookie QB, with a rookie head coach going to the AFCCG (which they should have won BTW). That's fun to watch, no matter who you are.
yeah lol, exactly, hopefully we do alot better this year.... and I hope for some reason none of our players can go to the ProBowl.... due to prior engagements *cough* Superbowl *cough*
Ha ha. Sorry man...can't have two AFC teams in the Superbowl. Tell ya what...I'll meet you in the middle. You guys go next year, and we'll go again this year against the Vikings. I just want it to be Peyton Manning that makes Favre retire for good, WITHOUT that last Super Bowl ring.
see ed reed needs to break a few records in the Superbowl this year with Farve as QB.... granted I doubt the vikings will make it.... I see the eagles on the NFC side..... a little birdie told me (no pun intended)
i'll level with you though, you can take the steelers out in the first round of the playoffs :P
But yeah, I'll tell ya what...we'll take the Steelers out in the second round (right after our first round bye). And I'll even settle for a IND - BAL AFCCG and if, IF, you win that...then more power to ya. :-D
nah I like first round better.... that way steelers don't have 1 playoff win or do as good to earn a first round bye :) than you can play the chargers in round 2 :))
Oh believe me I am. We beat them in the regular season...but some how they seem to have our number in the playoffs. Usually it comes with poor officiating. But we don't play them this year...and hopefully Denver will actually make the playoffs and *fingers crossed* knock the Chargers out.
lol, you should be, 1) they get merriman back 2) expect to see cromartie repeat what he did in 07
... if not the ravens, I actually have the chargers going to the Superbowl...... and just about anyway I work out the NFC it comes down to the eagles and vikings
I just meant I (as in the Colts) am not worried about them. But the way I see the AFC, it comes down to Bal, Ind, and possibly SD...sure. But, I foresee a Blue and Purple AFCCG. And after that, a Blue and Purple Super Bowl...if you catch my drift.
As interesting as that would be...I just don't think I can allow that to happen. I mean...for one, I just don't see the Giants going to the Super Bowl. It's going to be the Eagles or the Vikings. And the AFC can really only be the Colts. But I guess if it can't be the Colts, I'd rather it be the Ravens than anyone else.
likewise lol... usually ppl get tense into it.... don't get me wrong, i love trash talking w/ ppl.... but when it gets to the point where ppl are like "I'm going to kill you" that is classified as roid rage .... and no longer fun....... pretty much whenever steelers and ravens play each other..... or the eagles and anybody in the NFC East play
Yeah, some people just can't have a civil debate, or discussion. I mean, of course I like one team, and you like another...so we're not going to agree 100% on everything. But at least we can have fun trash talkin'. It's all in good fun.
The only thing on Peyton that's going to be hurting is his stomach from laughing at the Ravens' secondary so much. I can see it now...Peyton on the sideline talkin' to Reggie, "Man Reg...ANOTHER TD? ROFLKOPTERSKATES!"
And then Peyton would smack him with his own helmet and say "Reggie...you are on the WINNING team." And Reggie would snap out of it, and realize that he couldn't look at Flacco's uni-brow without laughing. Making it VERY hard to concentrate, and run routes. Therefore being a Raven wouldn't work.
It might have been, the oh so great state of FL hardly shows any ravens games, but what I do know is that Harrison constantly burned McCalister for huge gains and/or TD's... McCalister was a damn good CB too, but injuries and age caught up with him.... Harrison just seemed to always give him problems (his last great year was 06)
Yeah, us ravens fans expect huge things from him (good to finally have a franchise QB lol)
I was at that game in my Peyton Manning jersey, we were in the nosebleed seats, and for about the 20 or 30 rows up, me and my sister(also wearing her jersey) got booed by every Raven's fan that saw us. But you can't really blame the Ravens for hating the Colts, Robert Irsay did leave the city without really any of the fans any notice. But that game a physical game. I loved being there, and the Colts won the Super Bowl that year, it was awesome
No they didn't say anything, but I remember there was a fan after the game, can't remember if it was Ravens or Colts, this person was taking a picture and they were posing like they were hitting the Johnny Unitas statue, outside of the stadium, in the testicles, now I thought that was a little too much
yeah thats a little to much.. unitas didnt do anything to anybody.. unitas is onr=e ofthe best qb in his time.. hittn his testicles is fukd up. thta is disrespective.
here we go again.. just a little tid bit for ya. colts and ravens are not a rival.. ravens fans are just bitter. but they took the browns team but thats ok.. bunch of bitter fans.
the Colts in Indy are the fake version, the real Colts will always live in Baltimore with Unitas, Moore, Marchetti, and Donnavan, we are a smash mouth, beer drinking, in your face town just like the Baltimore Colts
I'm a Pats' fan but I will admit to anyone who asks that Peyton Manning is a great QB. He will be in the Hall of Fame one day. I know that the next game will be good. Unfortunately I'm afraid that... Well, let's not jinx it. Good luck to both teams and may the biggest toughest hearts win.
Too bad that we don't get to see CBS Sportsline in Finland.
As far as the Colts organization goes, both Baltimore and Indianapolis have witnessed legendary QBs and experienced great success. Why so bitter? The Ravens have a Super Bowl, the Indy Colts have a Super Bowl. Flipping off players and fans that had nothing to do with the team leaving is insane.

always? so we've never beat the Colts right?
PurpleMalita44 3 years ago
the Colts in Indy are the fake version, the real Colts will always live in Baltimore with Unitas, Moore, Marchetti, and Donnavan, we are a smash mouth, beer drinking, in your face town just like the Baltimore Colts

Gonna loose again to the Pats. Should not have won against the Ravens. Peyton is on the downside of his career.
