this is the best book i have ever read. i want the bbc to make an episode out of it. i dont know why its so good but i can imagine david tennant acting it out. nice vid
This Novel has TV written all over it. It has all the essecencials that the Daleks dont have nowerdays, such as Mines, Corridors and Cities, or Daleks covered in Dirt, or Slaves working away. Its what the Daleks need from Nu Who. This Novel has certainly been one of the biggest Dalek storys around, without anyone noticing it that much. Probably one of the greatest Doctor Who novels of all time, if not the greatest. A superb read and a definate yes for TV. Who wouldnt want this as an epic finale?
I remember buying this novel, and thinking it was absolutley amazing!!!! Its just what The Daleks of Nu Who need now. The Daleks have been reduced to pure scientists in the New Series, and with the terrible 2 parter The End of Time, this would have been way better to end a high note on the 10th Doctor on TV. The abandoned Graphic Novel The Dalek project has become Victory of the Daleks for Matt Smiths first Series, so we can a;ways hope that someone plucks their ears up and reads this.
@DoctorWhoCenter2010 You should buy it. Brilliant. I had trouble putting it down. It better than all the Nu. Who stories with daleks involved mulitplyed by a 1000.
On the verge of finishing this novel. Bought it a few months back then later bought the unabridged audiobook. Five discs narrated by the one and only Nicholas Briggs. The two together (book and CD) have really made the journey aboslutely brilliant and unforgettable. If one could only get just ONE of the Who novels/audiobooks, it would either be The Forever Trap or THIS. They're both perfect stories that capture the essence of Who.
This is brilliant , and so is the Novel itself which i read from start to finish all in one Day ! . . . . . i ended up with a sore thoat unfortunatly once i finished it cos i ended up doing the Dalek Voices when reading their bits , with abit of shouting from Dalek X involved .
Oh yeah indeed , i mean how brillaint it would be to see the Daleks meeting the Doctor who has allready experianced the Time War before they actually do ? it's brilliant , offcourse it's a mistake cos of the Tardis jumping Time Tracks which shouldint have happened , but yeah it should be made into a Televised Story , or Episode as you put it .
This is an amazing book!!! I bloody love it!!!!!!!! So many Classic Dalek elements. These days Daleks are just scientists but this book brought back some old memories!!
Wow, that was brilliant! I loved the part at the end on Hurala. This book was amazing and a bit scary as well, definitely the Daleks at their worst. I like how Trevor included the fact that the Daleks crank the extermination notch down so they can torture their victims.
When imagining the places in the book everything seemed to look old, dull and used, like in Alien. Hopefully Steven Moffat will consider using Trevor Baxendale as a writer of the series in the future.
