  • This is how I heard it at 7:40

Sam: "Well its a good thing Mr.Frodo because were running awful low on lube, I recon we got enough left to seize to this mountain dew."

  • @OMGHomeMovies it's running low on food; not lube.

  • @OMGHomeMovies Elijah Wood & Sean Astin made a cuter couple though. ;-P

  • Did the Uruk came from Russia ?

  • Oh, Sam!...

  • Sam always looks like he is shit housed

  • its a shame they ran out of money and then a different director had to finish the story ,which spoiled the end imo ..this was an awesome cartoon and would have been priceless if finished proparly imo

  • Shit tusken raiders ruuuuun!!!!!

  • 2:55 That is EPIC ATTACK!!!

  • LOL

I love the war horns in this movie LMFAO

  • The wolves of Isengard are actually wolves here and not giant mutant hyenas...

  • This is like 300, The Spartan this time is trying to protect Helms Deep against Xerxes Persian Army lol!

  • Who did the creature attack that opened the battle? was someone standing out front, outside the fortress? If so that seems rather silly?!

  • @WhiteTiger950 The book mentioned a series of small ridges that lay across the valley of Helm's Deep. Most likely a forward sentry.

  • um, why are they just standing being a free shot

  • where are the elves?

  • @kathen111 In the book, the men of rohan held the fortress alone.

  • And now!! back from Isengard and better than ever! May i introduce to u! the Uruk hai marching band!

  • The enemies battle trumpets make me LOL!

  • where is obi-wan when you need him to chase away the sand people...

  • @cloner98 Even if he did frighten them off, "they'll soon be back and in greater numbers" And it'll make the orc choir sound better ;)

  • snow white called she wants grumpey back...

  • these uruks are more aggressive than peter jackson's uruks.

  • @sparkymate04 I'd sooner face THESE uruks than PJ's uruks. At least these uruks aren't wearing plate armor :)

  • 4:37 - Ummmm.....wtf is this? Magic fireballs from Isengard? Why bother sending any Orcs?

  • little bit difrend than new movie=DD

  • Again with the ridiculous trumpet noise! And what's with Sam's pointless whistling and prancing about? Gollum is very good in this though to be fair

  • 0:35 Right out of Monty Python!

  • what were the lyrics at 5:34-6:14?

  • the orcs are singing,

Hai sieh da ee sieh og da ka r'hir'a da uu'a du'ub hai. Hai Sauron geep sieh Mordor.

Hai sieh da ee sieh og da ka r'hir'a da uu'a du'ub hai. Hai Sauron geep sieh geep sieh da uu'r whan Mordor.

    which translated in english means...

People see me there, see there open to create, to burn to the ground, there you are foot soldiers. People of Sauron, cut to see for Mordor.

    I know...I'm a nerd...lol!

  • Damn I've been wondering what they were chanting for years!

  • When I was a kid I always thought it was well retarded to just stand there when the orcs are firing away. And I still do..

  • whats with the red tint?

  • Ringlord3434, Bakshi wanted 2 put red as the backround 'cause he thought it'd be more intimidating. If u notice, it's very blue in Jackson's. I love the magic fieballs coming from 100 miles away, gotta love rotoscoping!:)

  • I've never been so bored during a battle scene. The live action version does a far better job explaining who's who and why they're fighting and not making everything look muddy and disorienting.

  • peter jacksons in my opinion was better it was a fortress and not a fort

  • this had so much atmosphere and i loved it as a child

  • They should've used this red silhouette effect in the Peter Jackson movie too!

    Friggin awesome.

  • 4:15 WTF are they doing? do they realy think they can ram down the wall with that?!

  • just shows your typical orc intellect

  • I find it funny that they're ramming the wall, when there's a door right beside them in the background...stupid orcs.

  • 1:03-3:23 Epic!!

  • the only thing is,when u ask wats going 2 happen, and somebody replies "we shall see...we shall see..." u just wouldn't follow them, would u? :P

  • sory for spelling .. MY ENGLISH IS NOT SO GOOD , but look at 2:57 helms deep looks like a lego castle ^^ and the waals are turned on wrong sides if u undnerstand look better..

  • the movie .. i like it so much !!! it teached the people about this great story in 1978 .. but i must say .. when i watched the fellowship of the ringin in cinemas .. (peter jackson ) i wos 8 ,and on the end , i cried because gandalf died xD but he dident die .. i am a large fan .. i read all the books encluding silmarilion and the children of hurin .. and one where the gandalf writes something on the title (picture ) u know what i mean..i like peter jacksons movie more , but this one is great !

  • bleh. the seige scene in army of darkness was better. :P

  • i want to know who those other beings are, not the horned orcs but those with the giant teeth that spread the width of their face that have blank expressions.

  • Moria orcs, lol. Another tribe

  • i think all orcs are like that

  • there were supposed to be three tribes.

Mordor, The mines of Moria, and the Uruk Hai

  • The Uruk advance would be so much better and more threatening if it weren't for that stupid horn tooting in the background...

  • I like the Uruk army's chant

  • @saiyanprince09 This score is the about the only work of Leonard Rosenman that I admire. That's not to slight his other work at all.

  • legolas keep having 3 arrows in this quivier dispite the fact he shoots them off some times

  • best part of the movie. the music goes really well.

  • wtf? does all the good guys only have one arrows? at 3:11 why arent they shoosting those bitches?

  • why is the fellowship, and some of the other characters cartoons, and the others are real? they could've made the movie a live-action back then...

  • hahaha ! the battel song is great ! i wish there was a soundtrack of the cartoon. can anybody understand the lyrics? i think there is sth about Isengard and mordor but i cannot understand the language. looks like catholic hymn

  • there is a soundtrack of the cartoon. i have it. its kinda rare though. i got mine from amazon, the only place that i know of that has it.

  • Da Urku-hai look freaky. For some reason it reminds me of the temple of doom, and the animated version of "The Black cauldron"." I think they are real actors some how put into the fillm, unlike the other people. They even look like the Tuscan raiders in Star Wars, as well as animals like pigs and monkeys, ad even like, well i forget the name, the guards at jaba's palace, umm, oh yeah the gamorian guards. I think this battle is better than that of Minas Tirith, but thats my opion, minas was epic

  • it looked like they were hitting the wall with the battering ram at 4:15

  • i think the best solution would have been if it was just one HUGE concentrated fireball from Isengard aimed directly at the walls. Gunpowder takes the magic out of the equation which sucks. But these dozens of missiles make Saruman look too powerful, right? I mean, think of what Sauron could do? Just one spell, and a scene with Saruman preparing it and casting, after which he retires from exhaustion.. Not DBZ like but not the holywood gunpowder crap either..

  • LOL do these uruk-hai look like servants of evil or just like guys with cloaks? and why doesnt anyone wear some armor, SERIOUSLY?!?!?! at least legolas shot the fucker with the anoying trumpet! now exuse me I ve to puke!!!

  • The Song is awsome^^ I love the Chor

  • annoying trumpet

  • Is it just me or is Gollum losing weight?

  • Does he seem like he has more weight on him compared to the Jackson Film?

  • It was gunpowder in the books, to show how Saruman was something of a technological wizard as well as a magical one. Isengard is like an evil factory, and a symbol of the evils of industrialization and technology. Apparently, Bakshi missed the point entirely.

  • In fact, no. It was "magical Fire from Isengard". Tolkien never intended to put modern weapons in their books.

  • Then why did the orcs have to carry the weapons, lay them in front of the walls, and light them? The weapons are never explicitly stated to be gunpowder, but they are not magical missiles from Isengard. And yes, Tolkien did have the enemy use modernized weapons. Scouring of the Shire has Saruman cut down trees to build factories, and Treebeard says that he is obsessed with machines.

  • In the "letters", Tolkien explain that the Fire from Orthanc (and the cannons that attack Minas Tirith) is similar to the gunpowder but is essentially magical. No elf, man or dwarf can create it, only Sorcerers, Mages and the Maiars. It is more a spell than a modern weapon.

  • Yes. It's magical gunpowder, not Disney magic technicolor light show beamed in from Isengard, which is eighty miles away from Helm's Deep anyway.

  • Flashing Colors?

  • the orcs in this movie always scared me.

With their red eyes,Fangs, and dark look.

and i don't mean to be racist on that

  • moose you watching this whole thing? Well I am i just finished reading the book so i feel like it p.s.. I don't think anyone knows why they use that same horn sound all i know is its Damn annoying.

  • Theoden tells Aragorn he's riding out? Theoden loses hope in the book, but Aragorn pumps him up to ride out with him (because of the prophecy Gandalf gave him).

  • I know their budget was horrible, but did really have to use the same horn sound for every single horn in the moive? I know it doesn't really matter, but it's kind of annoying...
