Thank you! There is a special interest, I feel, in hearing Ysaye play Kreisler, since Ysaye is often considered as the nearest precursor to Kreisler's own blend of elegant precision and romantic sentiment. His strongly-characterised treatment of the opening motif reminds me of Till Eulenspiegel in Strauss's tone-poem.

i agree with you about the phenomenal performer (of course) but in my opinion kreisler's short compositions are exasmples of mediocre music at all.

they're a mix between virtuosism and grace. I'd like to listen to the compositions of yours and compare them
