It was geographically easy for the US.

They fought Japan a little until they decided to nuke them, not the soldiers but their major cities.

Italy, Germany, and Japan all surrendered to American armed forces. Those are irrefutable facts. To say that the Soviets, who got the snot beat out of them by the Germans alone, won the war rather than the US is just not correct. As for the nukes, which is preferable: 200,000 dead, or millions on both sides in an invasion?

America helped by sending them tanks and such, but I would not go as far as saying they did much more than that.

They entered late when Germany were already getting problems with Soviet and by the time they got to France, alot of units had already been pulled back to the Eastern front.

2: With Africa added, German troops on other fronts add up to nearly 30%.

3: German forces were actually sent from Russia to France in 1944.

4: The Soviets had millions of angry conscripts in the winter of 1942. The Germans had no winterized clothing or equipment.

I'm not saying the Soviets didn't have an important role in the Allied victory, just that the US deserves the credit she rightfully earned in WWII!

Yes the Germans were badly geared for a long-termed winter fight.

Without the US, Soviet wouldn't have been able to fight for so long and so good.

But by the time the US really sent troops in, in bigger numbers Germany was already lost. Many German soldiers knew it by as early as 1943, they could not maintain a two front war.

I suppose my original point was that, while the Soviet Union had a MASSIVE role in victory over Nazi Germany, they were hardly the sole victor you made them out to be. Without them, American and British forces would have probably been stopped cold at Normandy, and without the West, Russia would have fallen. Neither side could have won without the other.
