  • they may had recreated those songs specially in 24 bit 192 khz in 5,1 surroud.

cuzz how they could ever create 24bit sound from 16bit sound.

how they could ever make 5,1 surround from mono/stereo without adding anny sound effect.

  • CD's are recorded, mixed and mastered in 24bit to preserve audio quality but then converted to 16 bit for regular CD format for the market, so 24 bit masters are available to convert directly to SACD/DVDaudio.

  • You've done a great thing here supporting SACD. I have about one Hundred SACDs myself. I prefer the multichannel ones! Tommy, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Layla & Dark Side Of The Moon are a few. I'm an analog guy myself... When I put the Dark Side Of The Moon SACD into my SACD player I thought the Sax player on Us & Them was in my living room! I could not believe the warmth & reproduction these discs are capable of. It was truely amazing! I can't believe the masses did not embrace this format..

  • Layla will be my next...and my love for SACD will grow more.

  • Soonercaniac is absolutely right!! These SACDs are terrible. No dynamics, harsh and ear-splitting. These deserved so much better. I dont know why they insist on remixing and destroying what was already an intended mix for the original album! What makes Genesis so great is their use of dynamics and harmonics. With these new things, all of that is gone and everything sounds the same. The 1994 remasters are far superior IMO. They retain the original mixes and dynamics as originally intended

  • Im not knocking SACD technology. Im simply saying that the Genesis SACDs dont cut it.

  • I live in the U.S, so I get regular CDs. No SACDs. The remixing sounds awesome! You can hear more of Steve Hackett's guitar. He alway complained about being low in the mix. I've even heard some of his guitar work was cut from the Lamb. Looking forward to the last batch of reissues(PG related). When will they be out?

  • Whenever Genesis reissue their albums, "FROM GENESIS TO REVELATION" (1969)is always ignored, I know it's not the greatest album and the sound quality is also a big let down, but surely it could get remixed and remastered. Haven't got any of the box sets versions, so I don;'t know of these newer ones, hope they are not like the remixed and remastered tracks of that on the "THE PLATINUM COLLECTION" because some of the remixes on that album do not sound right especially the drums of "The Knife"

  • I think the new Genesis remixes sound great! I have the CDs A Trick of the Tail-Calling All Stations, excluding We Can't Dance, cause it sucks. Hope the PG-era CDs will sound great, especially Trespass, cause it was never properly remastered cause Atlantic Records couldn't get the rights to do it cause MCA Records held the right to that album

  • SACD >> DVD-A, Blu-Ray >> HD-DVD

  • LOL this sounds good even from this Youtube stream... not even talking about MP3 320 that would be marvellous!!! give me MP3 320 and go home!

  • Nice video and thank you for promoting SACD! However, the Genesis SACDs do nothing to advance the benefits of high-resolution audio. An iPod philosophy was applied to the high-resolution layers. Excessive compression and upper-frequency boosts of 7-10dB and higher result in a raspy, harsh, wall of sound. No three-dimensions, no dynamic range, no life. There are so many better examples of SACD out there. Look elsewhere newbies!
