  • Dr. Arcane created an account and gave this video a thumbs down.

  • I remember....mid 1980s....and I waited for a new issue to come in the mailbox in a bown paper sleeve. The early Alan Moore issues.... Gothic Horror stuff. Met him at a comic con and had him sign issue 21. Loved the old Berni Wrightson stuff though. The Swamp Thing title got me started collecting comics!

  • Arcane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great intro...although they should have ended it there. This one was a piece of sheeeit. The original was great.

  • swamp thing is the best dc character ever.....i love this movie its a classic.

  • One of the coolest intros to a movie!

  • I remember this movie when I was a kid. I loved it because I thought it was awesome. Now, I've grown up... and still think it's awesome (albeit in a terrible way).

  • Hate me all you like. But I think this movie totally beat the original. Swamp Thing was portrayed better, looked better, and the movie was just kick ass. Don't get me wrong, the original's a classic. But I like this one better.

  • @MaxVonDraken I agree 100%... Minus the fact that the original movie was a piece of shit. This one was AWESOOOOOME

  • Swamp Thing is coming back in his own ongoing series this Sept.!

  • @johnnyhorror92182 Which when I heard that, blew my mind and my wad lol.

Though I really hope they don't throw away the Swamp Thing we know and love and go with the "It really is Alec this time" Scenario again.

  • @Antichrist2000 DC and series writer Scott Snyder (writer of American Vampire & Detective Comics) have gone on record that the new series will build on all the previous history of Swamp Thing.

  • @johnnyhorror92182 I hate to sound dumb but… I'm sorry I am still not to sure what that means because..there have been a lot of "Previous histories" when it comes to Swamp Thing...

  • @Antichrist2000 Basically all of work laid down by creators Len Wein & Berni Wrightson through Alan Moore and everything in between and after. So nothing really much in the history of Swamp Thing has changed. The real Alec Holland however is back in the equation, but the Swamp Thing entity still exists too.

  • @johnnyhorror92182 Ahh Thank you for clearing that up. Hopefully Alec Holland doesn't stick around to long.

  • Love CCR but the movie was too campy. It reminded me of the old Batman television series.

  • 1:08

You can see The Joker in the bottom left cell sh!tting his pants. XD

  • @HeLovesCulture sadly with bigger heros such as batman green lantern and even flash. our old time swamp ass kicker may never see the box office again

  • One person wasn't Born on the Bayou....

Quick side note....look for Swamp Thing wearing Green Lantern's power ring...near the end...

  • this was my favorite movie as a little kid

  • This was directed by Jim Wynorski. He directs those Busty Cops, and softcore porn parodys you see on Cinemax.

  • @Leatherbubba ROFL.. Thanks for pointing that out! I've seen busty cops LMAO

  • @HiCapacity Aside from "Return of Swamp Thing", Wynorski also directed the 1996 direct-to-video live-action "Vampirella" film (his only other super-hero film). He worked with B-Movie King Roger Corman as director for many of Corman's productions. He's also directed such films as "Chopping Mall" (1986), "Not of this Earth" (1988), "Transylvania Twist" (1989), "Body Chemistry Pt. 3 &4" (94, 95), "The Wasp Woman" (1995), "Sorority House Massacre 2" (1990), & "Cheerleader Massacre" (2003).

  • AT 1:10 it says arkham asylum, and it has the JOKER IN it

  • exelente intro en Peru se llamo como el hombre del lago. este tema musical se adapta mucho a esta pelicula saludos de Peru.

  • 1 dislike, must be a yankee!

  • thumbs up if youd want to see swamp thing in a new movie with all the new graphics and such

  • @FatalSonata Thumbs up for that...and I'd love for them re-do this scene exactly for the END of the film, Creedence and all!

  • Swamp Thing is a cool dude. He even let Killer Croc come live in his Swamp.

  • they call me swamp thing..then the beat drops classic

  • best intro ever this always got me pumped up

  • was smoking with my bro n we were talking about movies n out of no were i thought of this movie n i havent seen it in 15 years lol love this movie ,swamp thing kicks ass

  • This was one of my favorite movies when I was a little girl :p

  • I love the intro for this movie, showing all the comic adventures and every time I hear that song from CCR,I think of this intro. I sure do hope they come out with a 3rd Swamp thing movie someday,he's long overdue for that. And of course here's to you Mr.Durock RIP.

  • wow esta intro es realmente increible, realmente me marco cuando era chavito, mesclando 2 de mis mas grandes pasiones el buen rock y los comics

  • Right

  • Badass indeed.

  • harry doogan, hah.

  • Love the music, hard too believe Dick Durrock is gone, he'll always be Swampthing, and the evil hulk creature on the Incredible Hulk episode, The First.

  • I saw this intro when I was a kid and that is when i knew I wanted to be an artist when I grew up. Now I am. Those covers are awesome.

  • great movie all round especially the first and im sure the series were good too there should be a swamp thing 3

  • I like your run on sentence. And no, I think they shoulda stopped at return. It was a good movie but a little silly for a lot of peoples tastes.

  • the arkam asymum????

  • Yep. Swamp thing was there.

  • but why?? haha the swamp thing was such a nice guy

  • No idea man, never got that into the comics.

  • Swamp thing wasn't commited to Arkham Asylum. He came to Gotham City to find his lover, and was drawn to the Asylum because he felt the pressence of another plant being locked in there (the floronic man)

  • Thanks for that!

  • @hsmaretti What specific issue that shot from?

  • @Kudzuka It's from issue 52

  • At 2:25, does Swampy have a Green Lantern ring? What's that all about?

    New fan, forgive my ignorance.

  • OMG, BAD ASS INTRO.

  • Love comic intro of fame swamp thing encounters and matching song from Creedence Clearwater Revival

  • It's a damn shame the movies were nothing like the comics.

  • RIP Dick Durock You Made Swamp thing a larger than life character in many of our hearts.

  • @StriderReborn swampthing would done something about the bp spill!

  • =[.

  • R.I.P. Swamp Thing!

  • RIP Swap Thing....aka Dick Durock...72 years old....

  • God dammit he's dead too isn't he?

  • i always kinda dug swampys strangely upbeat attitude in this one. he must have gone to a motivational speaker between the first film and this sequel, lol:)

  • WOW !!! ^^

  • YEP!!

  • I loved the old TV show based on it back in the 90s.

  • You just reminded me of that. I watched it a few times.

  • Haha pretty good yet funny movie, I think I've seen it about 300 times, used to watch it when I was skipping school, it was always on HBO. Oh yeah and Heather Locklear was and I think still is fucking hot.

  • I agree. I've seen this movie hundreds of times. First time I saw it today since I was a child.
