mission mode can not be played with other people but the free roam mode you can connect to servers and play world wide

because my dads base is in japan. and i live their so yeah they gave a demo at the cro-cro comic station and plus the nintendo place in tokyo just gave a secret demo plus my brother works at the nintendo head corders in japan
