• Wow I didn't know he was British!

  • Holy fuck House has an accent.

  • Comment removed

  • Oh man...He looks so good...

  • Thumbs up if how you got here is a mystery :D

  • Hugh Laurie is a god!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • His accent doesn't go w/ his physical appearance...

  • @PrincessSunshine11 I know, it's so weird hearing him with an american accent! ;)

  • @peeteey It's so weird hearing his original english accent! xD My family had no idea!

  • @PrincessSunshine11 yes it does, what the fuck are you talking about

  • @mickyshaun

What the fuck am I talking about?

What the fuck are u talking about??

I typed that his accent doesn't go w/ his physical appearance & quite a few ppl agreed w/ me. What part don't u understand? That's MY opinion. Btw, I'm entitled 2 my opinion. Get over it!

  • Funny, Dr. Cockroach looks a tad bit like Hugh Laurie.

  • Did you notice that Dr. Cockroach has the same mustache as Hugh Laurie singing the song "Little Girl"?

  • hes hot !

  • NO I LOVE HIS HOUSE ACCENT

  • Hugh Laurie sounds a lot different, in House he doesn't actually sound British!

  • one of my favorite actors

  • Movie was actually pretty good...

  • OMGy my two fave doctors (Well, more like doctor and scientist) ARE THE SAME GUY? OMG! THIS IS THE BEST THING SINCE YOUTUBE!

  • I think hugh laurie is the one human being in the history of the world who sounds smarter without the british accent... I mean, he sounds plenty smart with it, but as House he sounds brilliant

  • @laineyandtherukster No... the character of House sounds smart. The American accent is not a significant factor

  • wow who knew he could be such a good voice actor! I watched this and didn't even know it was him.

  • Not even Hugh thought the movie was good.

    "It's really....."

Looks down and makes a sadfaec

    "really great stuff."

  • @deathward4 OK, time for some very simple logic: He can pick and choose what projects he works on, almost any famous actor can do that. He wouldn't work on something he doesn't like, he doesn't have to and so he shouldn't.

  • @TraustiGeir One word

    Contracts.

  • @deathward4 He isn't owned by DreamWorks.

  • @TraustiGeir Never said he was.

When they call him in for the project, he could be like "This sounds like a interesting idea." He'll have to sign on for a contract before he can participate for the exact reason being that he can't quit in the middle of it, nor is he allowed to throw a "pissy fit" because he can't leave, or else they'd take him to court.

But when he sees the final product, he could be disappointed, and regret doing it.

  • @deathward4 Very possible. But if he wouldn't do a thorough check on what he was signing up for, well, that's a pretty big loss...even with pay. :) Actors are always talking about how they "read the script" before they signed up...

  • Press play and press 5 over and over. :P

  • Kafkian much?

  • Laurie does not sound convinced haha.

  • OMG ACCENT!

  • hugh just gets better with age

  • I love both Doctor House and Doctor Cockroach :D

  • I already love it although I've never seen this film :) "Please, madam, STOP DOING THAT!" :D:D:D

  • i wonderd why i liked that cockroach

  • @piggemy cos its house in a new form?

  • wow he just looks so uninterested in this

  • i like more his acent from house =D

  • @RipleyNgr

a fake gay american croaky whine

  • 1:50 to 2:00 He does not seems convinced. THAT, is funny. And his gaze at the end proves it XD.

  • @debiaptget oh my god, you're right XDD

  • I Love Dr. House

  • god damnit he is so hot

  • Why, in American films, are English people either mad or evil?

  • @DarkRw1995

Probably still bugged about the whole war of independence thing where you English tried to prevent their country from forming (fortunately they forget that many of those English were living in what is my home country - dont tell them). Also the English do have a stereotype of the rather cynical, pretentious, intellectual upper class. Which is a pretty nice cliche for a bad guy or mad scientist.

  • @DarkRw1995 they always make them really posh as well

  • @DarkRw1995 don't forget servants!

  • @DarkRw1995 Don't flame me please. Its the accent, would you be intimidated if your enemy has a American accent. I would say one of my favorite James Bond villains was played by Christopher Lee. (The man with the golden gun.)

  • Dr. Cockroach is my favorite character

  • traduscanlo peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee iaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa me encanta dor house

  • i saw that :D it rocked :)

  • @Mad4john me too. ^^

  • I didn't know Hugh Laurie was in this until I went on Wikipedia, I was just so used to House that i didn't recognize his real voice.

  • did hugh gel his hair? love him!

  • @makesmewonder007 lol i just noticed that his hair was like that... ;)

  • One of the things that make this movie so hilarious is the fact that Dr Cockroach look a great deal like Hugh Laurie! ;)

  • He seemes like he had been forced to say something positive which might have been the opposite of his real oppinion, doesn't he?

  • It does.

I always find it embarrassing when 'serious' voice actors have to describe their animated character.

  • "serious"?

Are you saying Hugh Laurie is always a serious guy, or actor..?

  • @vassviola

That's just Hugh. He's always done his inverviews like that. I think he's just a bit shy.

  • SDince the last summer when I saw cockroachs in our ZOO I changen my opinion on this kind of insect. They are pretty fast, "smart" and indestructible - they can even survive RADIATION !!!

  • and what about being one of the bad guys in 101 dalmatians? (the live version)

remember the "don't look at his scar" scene?

  • yay i have that version i have all of the 100 dalmation movies

  • He was also in Jeeves and Wooster, where he was probably at his silliest with Stephen Fry. Great stuff!!

  • nice saturday night reference.

  • I love Dr.Cockroach! Especially his crazy laugh! I always love crazy scientists hehe :)

  • hahaha the best word in the whole movie: "MMMadam!!!"

  • @SWEsuger

No no, Dr.C has better lines! What about the mad-scientist laugh or the sly 'Hellooo' when we first see him? XD Lol!!! I love Dr.Cockroach...

  • I'd never think I'd see the day that Hugh and Keifer would be in a movie together...But OF COURSE it's an ANIMATED one.... *sigh*

  • I think his American accent when he first started House was on the okay side. Now that he's been living and working in the States for over 5 years, it's gotten better. He's quite good at putting on different British accent too, but I gather that comes more naturally to him.

  • Five years of American vs. a lifetime of British.

Yeah, I would say so too.

  • it took me forever to figure out he was the dad in Stuart little

    lol

  • lol me too!

  • He's so sexy when he talks all sophisticated and smart- like. <3

  • @MaryAndAmandaShow Is there any time when he is not sexy? =D

  • I like his British accent more than the American even if the1st time I was truly aware of him was in House MD. Then when I heard him in the interviews, comedies it was just SO amazing. Besides there's sth pleasant about Brits when they talk

oh yah! n he also was in disney's productions stuart little &101dalm, fortysomethin, even in FRIENDS,Maybe baby,Blackadder, the man in the iron mask with DiCaprio, Spooks(MI-5) with Macfadyen,Sense n sensibility,Legends of treasure island & more HE IS AWESOME!

  • He played one of the bad guys from 101 Dalmations with Glen Close.

  • It was live-action "101 Dalamatians". He played Jasper. :]

  • Haven't you seen Fry and Laurie, and all his other British work?

  • hes more famous for the hugh and laurie comedy over here.

i wonder why he puts on an american accent.

  • hugh and laurie lololol.

fry and laurie is what you meant i think.

and he puts it on merely because the character is american.

  • Its like that in reverse to us brits. We are used to hearing his british accent in his former shows like Blackadder and Fry and Laurie. So to hear and see his accent in House sounds a little bizzare at first.

  • I believe the movie you're reffering to is The Borrowers. His American Accent is very convencing, isn't it? Hah. Yeah. He's an amazing actor.

  • But its lovely :p

  • Dr. Cockroach was my favorite character, and I didn't even know it was Laurie at the time! He does a great job.

  • Awesome! Hugh Laurie will be awesome as him! Americans don't see enough of the British Hugh Laurie. They just see House.

  • He was also the dad in the Stewart Little movies and animated stuff. o:

  • I know! I just heard about that! I want to see that again now! X3

  • He also appeared as an advisor to Leonardo Di Caprios (Evil) character in "Man In The Iron Mask"

  • Haha! Dr Cockroach looks like a caricature of Hugh (although Hugh is handsome and the caricature is not!)! The eyes, the nose, ...! Funny!

  • the Dr. Cockroach was so influenced by Kafka

  • That big one eyed robot character ooks a lot like Plankton.

  • plankton and everything got to do with sponge bob sucks

  • especially 80's british comedy!

  • I loved Hugeh and Steven in black adder!

  • me too, I'm a Brit and Brit comedy rocks arse!

  • It's been haunting me for more than 4 months: What was Dr. Cockroach's human name? :|

  • that house....

  • he is sooo gorgeous i do enjoy his accent alot his adorable. a bit of fry and laurie ♥

  • Is Dr. Cockroach addicted to Vicodin as well?

  • @blackkat7073 LOL!!!

  • @blackkat7073 That's funny because Dr. House is addicted to Vicodin!

  • @blackkat7073 Do you get it in .01mg pills?

  • Fry and Laurie 4eva! hehe

  • stick with the british accent laurie! :)

  • GO BRITIAN!

  • PIP PIP

  • Comment removed

  • not appreciating the rudeness fool. i know many things.

  • i'll take that as a sorry then shall i? you ignorant buffoon

  • his voice is wierd when he's talking normal. Not cause it's british bt becuz it's not as deep

  • it's because every one of us known him as house not like hugeh laurie

  • yeah but it's the same thing with hugh jackman

  • I am even more in love with him after hearing his accent...

  • 0:11 Doctor Cock-ka-roach XP

  • Only damn reason I shall bother watching it is because Hugh Laurie is in it!!

  • haha. that's the only reason i watched it!

  • how sad!.... me too :P haha i <3 hugh laurie

  • he's only the best actor in the world lol.

  • "please, madam!" ahahaha, Mr. Laurie is still amazing :D

  • It's so weird to hear him when he's not faking an American accent

  • Us Brits are used to it...watch him in Blackadder. He's more British than most British people.

  • lol hes so funny

  • but he`s british!!! for me its weird hearing him with his fake american accent!!

  • haha :D I also only watched monsters vs aliens because of Hugh :DD Hehe

  • HUGH rocks at anything he does I think!! :D

  • Y'know I only watched Monsters vs. Aliens because of Hugh Laurie.

Oh, and the 3D glasses were too heavy and kept slipping down my nose. I had to hold them up with my finger for half of the movie. :P

  • Dr Cockroach when he still looked human (check out the moustache!!) :

    /watch?v=raRQilFcriw

  • lol i loved hugh as dr. cockroach

  • si el doctor house la recomiendo entonses deve ser exelente

  • wait. So hugh had a british accent in Monsters vs. Aliens?

  • he talks with a british accent in real life

  • fool xD, go look his old stuff up

  • Hugh Laurie is English. You're just used to seeing him on House MD only.

  • Criminals? Uh... ok.

    Cockeyroach? Lol.

I love how the actors looks like their characters... in a way. >.>

That first clip with the spoon is freaking amazing. :D♥

  • ts an awsome movie

  • hugh Laure= Cool --Raja demaziado bkn xD

  • The movie wasn't good, but 3D space was nice. And the big fuzzy bug.

It's entertainment, ESPECIALLY if you see it as a rightwing conspiracy movie - then you can enjoy the fact that the evil alien looks a bit like Obama.

  • well i always love him no matter what but

ahh i love his hair here!!hah

  • like a lot of people, i still cant figure out how Laurie performs that "house" voice in HouseMD and in SNL, Monsters vs Aliens and Stuart little he does his normal voice.

Also i sow it with spanish dubbing so when i saw the credits (im that kinda guy who stays until all credits roll) and saw Dr. Cockroach ----- Hugh Laurie i was like WTFF (What the fucking Fuck?)

  • well, obviously, he also has an american accent when he plays house....and then in on other movies or shows, he will use his original accent (wich british men and accents are a major turn on for women)

  • I like the new haircut from hugh ;)

  • British House...I know very well that's how he's SUPPOSED to sound...but...It just doesn't compute in my brain! D:

  • I'm now interested in this movie.

  • Very funny movie! I know it's a kids' film but I loved it! All the actors were brilliant. Seth Rogan's Bob made me laugh like crazy!

  • Go Dr. Cockroach! He's awesome!

  • I LOVE HOUSE

  • lol favorite character in the movie and I didn't even know it was my favorite actor

  • I did`t know that Hugh Laurie was Dr. Cockroach voice, until I saw the voice actors after movie. XD

  • I looove Hugh Laurie for this! Aah! <3

  • i was trying to figure what character he was voicing over the whole time i was watching the movie. but i only figured it out when i read it in the ending credits. -facepalm-

  • same here! all movie, i was freaking out trying to figure it out but never would have guessed Dr. Cockroach

  • I think Hugh Laurie is fukn HOT....man i love how he comes out in HOUSE!!!!!

  • He's so flipping talented

  • Omg love Hugh Laurie.

    LOOOOOOOOOOVEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • i aw this to day in 3-D

  • okay is it just me or does he have an english accent but on house its normal?!?

  • You're kidding, right?

Hugh Laurie is British. His American accent on House is a put-on.

  • Check out BLACK ADDER or his early days in comedy. He's British through and through.

  • normal for you mate, for us it backwards xD

  • Actually it's quite normal for me. I've always loved Hugh Laurie, and I remember him from Stuart Little and I was wondering where his accent had flown off to. Hahaha.

  • I'm pretty sure the song Dr. Cockroach dances to is an instrumental version of "Roses are Red" by Aqua

  • ...you rockkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!

  • Does someone know the title of the song he's dancing.... just before that nice quote : "I've got a PHD in...DAAAAHHHNCE!"

  • I am so in love with Hugh that I am now head over heels for "Doc Cock" as well. LOL not really, mostly it's his voice. But I love Hugh so very much and we was great in this movie, esp. his eeeevil laugh! "I've got a PHD in...DAAAAHHHNCE!"

  • can someone post dr cockroach dancing?

  • Hugh Laurie is love.

I have been watching his work for a long time now.

    This movie was halarious!!

  • what is the name of the song then he does the dance??

  • I <3 Hugh, but is it just me or does he speak quite slooowly? lol I LOVE YOU HUGH! YOU IS SEX
