Strength is counteracted with the inability to walk amongst the dwellers of the day, and the immortal thirst removes the color and animated taste of our meals.
This movie is a prequel. It goes back before Selene, and describes Lucian's affair with Victor's daughter, Sonja. It basically explains why the Lycans and Death Dealers hate each other so much, and explains Lucian's motives in the first Underworld movie.
@teamedward4everx She's not in this movie yet, clearly you don't understand the movie that well. Selene was kidnapped by the vampires when she was young and her family was slaughtered by the vampires. She was brainwashed and turned to believe that she was one of them. The vampire's did this because she looked like Viktor's daughter Sonja, to fill the empty void he had for killing his own daughter. This movie is techically the beginning of the whole story despite it being the third film.
