Even his old shit with NWA wasn`t quite like NY beats. His beats are good for gangster rap or this bullshit they make today. As far as being pure authentic hip hop beats, No!!!

Rakim, Busta, B.I.G. are of the few rappers that could dance on top, around, & through beats.
50 Cents, Kanye, Snoop are laid back in comparison.
That beat may have had unnecessary gunshots in the way for a good quality rhyme by Rakim & Busta.
