i respect paul van dyk more than armin van buuren for a really big reason: paul van dyk is one of the first trance artists during the first years of trance, 1990 year when trance was created by dance 2 trance. paul van dyk used to play classic trance, the original form of trance which is a hybrid of detroit techno, chicago house and ambient (piano music). so the important to me is that pvd is one of the first trance artists.

they both didn't record the track together actually. paul van dyk's version is in 2000, armin's version is in 2008, but it is the same track. the style is progressive trance with breaks.

looking at the progressive electronic music, mainly trance style, starting from late 1990 until now are those two DJ's have brought much to this music without discussion! Tiesto for me is in third place but only until 2007. Now his music (single) is not suitable even for grating horseradish! Paul thanks for the amazing single and best live performances. Armin thanks for A State of Trance. Only I ask you both, do not go that way at Tiesto!
