i'm a native spanish speaker, and yes, it is spanish, but there's also a version in portuguese... not this one tho. Dunno if there's a version in italian aswell, but he can speak italian perfectly as far as i know, and his spanish is quite good...

Nope, Portugeese actually. Check the live from Download festival and he says it's portugeese :)

I believe you can see it on the live from download 2009 where he says "How about some español?" and sings the chorus in portugese, then tells the crowd "It was portugese, didn't check it" and laughs.
