Hah! you had a soviet children issue gas mask! i got one because i thought it was bigger but luckily one of my actors is small enough to use it. i can put it on but it looks pretty ridiculous, nice video to.

@19MoonMan Thanks. I used photoshop for graphics, aftereffects for compositing, Maya for the animation, final cut for editing, garageband for the soundtrack. The only clips I used were green screened clouds and fires I found online for 3 of the shots.

@TheAlchemist80 personally to me it's a metaphor, but overall it's about corruption, deception, sacrifice and self-destruction with the last ounce of humanity trying to survive in a technologically enslaved society. I finished it after a friend passed away, so it ended up being darker than I originally imagined. the prequel will be more of a black parody, like repoman meets bladerunner and the road.

@mercforhire1 you have plenty of time to figure it out. It might be smart to start out with videogames, graphics. build up fx knowledge with Maya, etc. get the technical stuff out of the way, then learn about being a director! you can do both, I kind of did. Good luck dude!

Really unique style of filming..i liked it. You should really continue (or make) this series. I thought the animation from the boomerang shaped planes, to the explosions were really good, and i'd like to know how you did the random warning messages that appeared on the screen.

dude this video is cool! just an idea (srry im kinda krazy like this) but you could make a sequal set 5 yrs later .....and i dont know what would happen!but at the end he would meet a man who shows him a new machine hes made, it can clean out the unbreathable areas and re oxigenate them!!! take it or leave it but the video is still cool

@co0lerthanu no problem dude glad you liked, that's kindof a cool idea actually, because eventually when there are no more breathable areas (due mostly to a chemical agent that was released years ago) there would have to be a contingency plan for survival, so yeau, that would be cool

Thanks! they were on the edge of a breathable zone. the character took his mask off because the oxygen tank was out, but I forgot to make that clear :(

Found this link at the MM forums. Amazing vibe/mood throughout! I'm intrigued to see how the rest of the "Jettison" series plays out. The only suggestion I would make is to further stylize (or reveal less of) the fight scene. It's the only moment that distracted me. I look forward to seeing more! :)

i loved it, warner. i remember seeing stills of this ages ago. EXCELLENT camera work, impressive digital effects, i just loved it all. some people are afraid to do storytelling without words and you do it well.
