my xt2 is still faster than my brushless sc10 w/ a velineon!! very durable!!!!
although, when i do really big jumps or hit something hard, the steering doesnt work for a little bit... idk if its the stock servo or what, and its just the steering that doesnt work... and its only for a second or two, but still
I have a gen-1 X-T with a venom speed monitor and its highest recorded speed was 47mph, however thats not counting for tire swell, so i think with a new pipe it could be over 50
im looking into getting one of these and was just wondering if its a good beginner car, is it a good all terrain car, like for racing and jumps and some street use?
my local hobby store has this buggy and i just cant decided if i want to get it or the 08 tmaxx i have only had mts and truggys so i havent messed with buggys alot so i need help deciding
dude that was 3 months ago i got the my tmaxx since i had the 2.5r so put a 2.5 chassis since its shorter and more bodies will fit it, im going to race it rpm arms all way around picco .26 maxx and a proline max mulchers steel cvds and axles hpi 14mm alumium hex hubs might have missed something idk it is a monster at
I have gotten so much better with the jumping. I am going to OWN that track next time I go LOL... Back plate is fine I think... need to give it a goo looking at. It just has a dirty one-way I think. I will pull motor and possibly put a new clutch in before the track.
I actually broke my pull string so installed the roto, but the roto has the same problem as the pull string would(one way bearing). In either case to clean it you need to remove engine. Not too big of a deal but not the best way to do it.
I found that if I heat it up with a hair dryer first, starts right up. The engine itself is a good one. Holds its tune, easy to tune and break in. For 300 bucks I am very impressed with it.
You might have it leaned out to much. Richen it up a bit. Make sure your idle is right... do all this after you get the temp up to at least 180 or so...
=) im gettin one of those for this christmas! wooo!! thanks dude. now i know which one to get. haha i have been looking at all these crazy fast ones all different styles and speeds. but now i know i wanna get this one. lol hooray....
XTM, you can only get them through Hobby People which I happens to be the closest HS to my place. It is a great buggy. 300 bucks, all metal gears, cvd's, just about all the options a lot of big priced buggies come with. I am impressed with it. I'm sure it could handle in races but I'm not sure if it would clean out a LOSI 8 or what ever LOL but it bashes great, tough and cheap! :)
No not me. I have not run any car in a couple years at least. When I was messin around down there I was running mostly gas.

LOL @ 51, classic. XT2's are pretty fun, I got a nice .21 in it, and have the diffs at 2k/5k/7k and it handles pretty good.

Yea and you can take it out and bash the hell out of it too :)

i love it how the XT2 can idle so low but rev so high at full speed i think it sounds great!

There is a mag, rc car action or something that reviewed 6 or so budget 1/8 buggies and I chose the XTM based on that.
