for those unfamiliar with the world released models of the rx8, in europe they have three drive train set ups. the High Power which is the 231hp 6pd model, the standard model which is the 192hp 5spd model and of course the model with the 4sp automatic with lower power. both the 5spd manual and the 4spd auto have the 4 port motor which means only 4 intake ports. while the "High Power" has the 6 port. aka 6 intake ports. to back this note title says "4port challenge EU spec"

Those Automatic Rx8's are limited to 7200 due to the transmission.. yes the engine can go to 9k its basically the same as the high power but has two less air/fuel intakes. Has something to do with the torque converter.. i guarantee that transmission wont last 10k miles

the 6 speed is the 231 HP because the rev counter goes to 10 and in the 192 HP it goes to 9 rpm and the rev line is 7

ok so originally i though the car they were testing was the auto 4 port...4 speed, 197HP but the auto has the "flappy paddles" on the steering wheel which you can clearly see this one does not....so what the hell is this car? I think its just a stock 6speed...the rev limiter red line is also at 9000/9500 so again this car looks to be a stock 6speed...if anyone can confirm what car this is let me know

this is the standard model in europe, called Standard Power with only 192 hp 4 port model !

you can clearly identify 16 wheels that cannot support the same brakes than the 231 High Performance 6 port model, that is how you can recognize a 192 model called "Challenge" in some countries.

either they changed the guages and steering wheel and its an AT or they changed out the suspension to fit the (non sport) AT suspenstion, and added the sport AT 16 inch wheels and its a manual car. but is is very possible to change the RPMs of any rx8 as long as you have the cobb ap.

but in "stage 2" it looks like he pushes in the clutch to put the car in nuertal

Video makes no sense. Car revs to 9k stock. Car makes 180rwhp stock. Where's the reprogramming?

the 4 port Rx8 goes only at 7500 rpm with 192 bhp, so the result is quite good cause 181rhp makes the car about 202 bhp.

if you add a complete exhaust system with manifold, midpipe without catalystor and catback you should be able to finish at 195 rhp / 213 bhp i think !
