The companies were paying their shareholders huge profits while at the same time expecting the taxpayer (me and you) to pay for the pensions for their employees. GB did the right thing - and then the companies decided to keep paying their shareholders at the expense of their workers pensions, like the shits they are, and the right wing press blamed Brown.
