  • it is not fair that people who did not have relatives/no funeral/not claimed are given over to this, its absolutely awful actually. :|

  • All the retards that don't know the difference between a dead body being used for science and a corpse used for financial gain should get to watch they're family members corpses being displayed fucking as they do at these museums. Necrophiliac sick fucks. It's sad enough to display the dead as freak shows, but copulating? Really? Educate yourselves watching porn. I don't care if your into zoophilia, S&M, gay, gang bangs, whatever... desecrating corpses like that... WTF? That's just corrupt.

  • Um... the creepiest thing about this is that the Kyrgyz doctors/students are wearing chef hats... that really makes working with human corpses quite creepy... lol.

  • What does plastination do for the lamen? Just think about the average what use have they for you?

  • Thanks for Posting Plastination is a fantstic way forward in the realms of anatomy!

  • the body is only a remedy to act for your brain . "YOU" are the brain and not the body

  • why that creepy music

  • While I fully support this, they should only use volunteered bodies. It shouldn't matter if a person is unclaimed, they deserve the right to choose.

Besides that, this is a wonderful process that truly grasps the beauty of the body. And I completely agree with the doctors statements. As an atheist, I want to donate my body to science. And I think any religious person should understand that their God would want them to help people rather than follow some self serving tradition.

  • arte o no?

  • also y is this one doctor smoking a dayum cigarette in a place like this???? whut duh hell???? he prob rolled up some dead meat/skin/organ parts and smoking it...I know that's really, seriously gross of what I just said...lol....but seriously, y is he smoking?

  • Y would the reporter ask this guy if he was afraid...Y would he be afraid...HE'LL BE DEAD IDIOT....*rolling eyes*

  • maximumum respecta dr von hagen!

  • buckethead made a song about this. its called plastination station

  • dr guther von hagen is an amazing man.

  • I saw this in S. Korea. It's really crazy and somewhat freaky. It is really interesting though.

  • @yellowman88

were you watching eat while you were eating a beaten up dog?

  • @RichGirI

you got nothing better to do then troll youtube?

  • B E U R K !!!

  • This is sick

  • @TimCob

did you see the doctor pulling out his cigarette? He is a fake doctor but is a real body trader.

  • I like the chef hats. WTF?

  • lol I want to be plastinated and dressed up and put in some odd postion around my house like a doll so that when my grandchildren will always have there grandfather and I will always look as I did in life, it beats rotting in a casket.

  • @CrankItEveryDay

    lol me too,

I want to be platinated so men could see my sexy body for ever.

  • the creepy organ music is seriously unnecessary

  • I totally agree

  • these bodies sell for thousands, enough to get living people killed and chopped to pieces, hell in Africa the even sell human body parts of albinos as folk remedies,

its a sick world you created. its the world you chose to die in also. Naw, your already dead.

  • at 8 mins he does admit that there was no consent for these purposes... Just because a body isnt claimed within 30 days... doesnt mean people want to be plastinated... so.. is there ANY "specimen" who actually consented to this?

  • I've been to an exhibition and the form required was on display. Lots of people have "consented" including Gunther's Von Hagen's best friend, whom he personally plastinated as requested.

As far as unclaimed bodies go, it is their own responsibility to arrange for the disposition of their body. Keeping bodies in morgues costs money as does even a pauper's burial. It's fairly universal for all forms of "lost property" to be disposed of after 1-3 monthes.

  • i just came back from Body World's 2 in Philly and I'm speechless the human body was shown to me in a whole new light that I could have never learned or seen in health class. Most amazing and profoundly personal exhibit I have ever come to witness.

  • I have a big respect for human life, i'm a medical student and i had to study anatomy with real bodies in very bad conditions. I think if this technique is used for educational and medical purposes, it only can do good things for health sciences, so we can reach the final goal that is to achieve better lifes for the living people.

Anyway, Its always a personal decision

  • The professor wears a white hat like a chef's hat. What's up with that?

  • @Blugrazz what do you think is for lunch?!

  • sick, but actually cool.

  • this is cool stuff i support it and see no wrong done

  • Those look like chef's hats.

It's also very amusing that the professor smokes when the inventor of the process claims one off his main reasons for doing this is to educate people of the importance of healthy living.

  • So this means in the future we won't have to dissect frogs anymore, and in the future every bio classroom will have a neat plastinated body for study.

  • This is extremely interesting and I would gladly donate my body to science. My soul is within my exterior is just my shell and if it improves medicine and knowledge of treatments I would gladly be a part of that.

  • shit

  • von hagens , i smoke, i get drunk ! FUCK YOU

    this shit is crazy!!!

  • I agree, this is a very good thing for medical students, but stiil,a lot of missing people, they might be at the gallery? 30 days? if your relatives can't find you? That's creepy...

  • muslims get angry over everything just go home

  • Kyrgyzstan is a Muslim country.

  • It's easy to say, it's science and all! but we are humans,we are alive and we can die any day,,,all of these people who are plastinated were the same as us. Even if they were bums, they have relatives &some may be still wondering where their loved ones have disappeared! There is no f***g law in Kyrgyzstan, that's all!

  • I take what I said back! I'm from Kyrgyzstan,Bishkek. I'm sorry, if I die or somebody who I know dies,I wouldn't want them to put in a gallery without their consent. Can u imagine yourself? Really imagine it!You died &for some stupid reason, say you left for vocation for a month &suddenly die! All of your friends &family think u r on vocation, but u r actually in a morgue! After 30 days you are on display in a gallery, with your skin strip down, your brain is out Would you want that?Really!

  • I doesn't matter really, you're already dead. If your body is not recognized in the morgue, you can be preserved in a medicine school being disected several times by medicine students.

In a fact is the same stupid idea about autopsy and the religion.

  • You're so Ignorant

  • Comment removed

  • Davinci was ridiculed and almost jailed for his anatomical experiments and drawings people got over that they need to get over this

  • @CaptainArcher1989

I wonder if they could make sex dolls out of dead people? Jessica Simpson plastinated body would sell for USD $43,000,000

  • Anyone complaining it's a load of bollocks . Plastination has brought forward the study of anatomy in leaps and bounds. Some people were just born to complain about everything!

  • @CaptainArcher1989 If it was only for experimenting and science, then it would be ok. But then entertainment makes its call and there are real human bodies used for the purpose of entertainment. That aint right... Especially if the person didnt give permission to use his/her body.

  • medical science? a TAC can do much better and unontrusive work!

this is just a freak show of mental sick guy.

even in the artist view it's just 'bad'.

    insane, dot!

  • whatever you like to think is sick is based on your own opinion...and that's what it is... and nothing more; it's just so typical for people to think of this as a freak show...but what do you know! it's obvious that you would say that......people who are closed minded and clueless.

  • sorry to say but Micheal Jackson is next

  • He comes pre-plastinated.

  • Plastination is done in the benefit of science and people willingly donate their bodies to to be plastinated. This is not sick nor crazy.....just because someone is too much of a redneck to understand medical breakthroughs it doesn't mean that it's CRAZY! This is medical science at its best to further understand and study the human body.

  • medical science? you are sick man!

  • Bullshit.. They're political dissidents from China and the former Kyrgyz SSR (now Kyrgyzstan). These bodies were NOT donated. They were more than likely tortured by government officials in Central Asia beforebeing tossed in a vat (instead of the rubbish). Do your homework. .. And you have the audacity to think you're refined and call others 'redneck'. This is not art; it is desecration. I hope you're impressed with yourself.

  • itzSandog

You are once again, prove that there is a lot of uneducated ignorant looser like yourself in the world, because of people like you our world is so messed, shame we have ROAD KILLS like yourself walking around our wonderful planet, why don't you just go and stay in a corner and get lost would you???

  • If you're going to insult me, please take a second to use spell check and review your grammar. You shot all credibility out of the water. If you were a retarded monkey trying to make a point, I'd probably be slightly insulted. There are some great remedial English classes available online. I suggest you go find one (quickly).

  • lol, you are such a looser dick sucking animal. come up with a better way to try to remotely bother me with your comment, keep reading and maybe by next year you can try for 5th grade, you will continue to be an ignorant piece of little shit who happens to apparently spend a lot of time on sites like this making ignorant comments about things you will never understand, I honestly feel bad for you, I feel sad to know there are still people like you in the world, too depressing.

  • watch 10:16 - THESE PEOPLE DID NOT GIVE THEIR CONSENT. You're 200% wrong.

  • Last time I checked, the bodys we 'own' are just on loan anyway. We will be eaten, shat out and recycled like every living organism on this planet.

  • this shit is fucked up, i don't want to be plastic

  • This person is sick! He sould consult a doctor!

  • He is a doctor.

  • OMG! The human race has gone crazy I say!!!

  • и это все в Кыргызстане? тогда круто:)

  • The guy at 1.30 looks pretty dead himself

  • I do agree that the dead should have some right to be buried but they also have the right to serve science if they decide that as they were alive. In fact I would have no problem after my death my body to go to an exhibition like that. In fact do you know that in the cemeteries they through your bones after a while of decades if noone ask for them?

  • @mitsosobaxomeh In vegas you've got the Bodies Exhibition. Drunk people were there laughing in front of a corpse just for the kicks of it. I'd rather have my remains thrown away after decades and decades. I swear i would find a way back from death if there were drunk people making fun of my carcass..

  • there is nothing to get afraid of this process when someone dies. When his spirit goes away from someone's body, it is just flesh and bones like the dead animals dead chicken that we buy and roast. They were once alive too. We just don't understand that.

  • in fact i will donate my body to medical science . I prefer itthan to by buried and eaten by the worms . With what i disagree is the human body to be used like an exhibition subject without the will of his ex owner.

  • in fact, from one point it is good. Imagine your body stays internal immortal. That is what all the people all ancient times wanted. Imagine that in ancient Egypt only kings , priests and lords and some animals who thought they were holy had the right to be mummified.

  • in fact Ancient Egyptians used to mummified their dead lords and kings and some centuries before Italians did it for their loved once. The catacombs of Sicily are full of mummified bodies.

  • no if the person has sing up and agree for that it is OK. If the dead body pass through the process of plastification without it's own will that is bad. But there is nothing wrong with this process.

  • I saw "Body Worlds" when it came to charlotte nc in 2007, it was awesome! My husband and I also took our daughter who was 18 months at the time and she loved it and learned alot about the human body!

  • Reminds me of this...

    watch?v=SHcx7mmylAc&feature=channel_page

  • This video is being so negative to this brilliant work..

  • i heard those organs came from organ harvesting camps in china,,???is this true??

  • @ psychorigid: das kann nur eine fuge von bach sein!

  • thanks! but i ve all organ bach discography and i don't find it...it seems to be a movie soundtrack (according sound effect you can ear).

  • Body Worlds and Gunther show how unique the human body is, has a very rigorous donation of you body page, so all bodies are the with permission before they died.

  • what s the song which began at 1mn48s ?? (organ)

  • I may have a issue with the museum idea which is mostly used for entertainment. But I see no problem of using it for scientific purposes, especially for medicine students to learn about the human body, ans subsequently saving lifes in the future.

  • yo he vista esta increible exposicion en sevilla

  • White people are always doing some weird kind of shit.

  • so what? .. ^^

  • that`s not science, that`s a freak show

  • This is an arogant and ignorant one sided view of science.....

These bodies are neither grotesque or shocking..... the only thing shocking and grotesque is the ignorance and fear which view's like this spreads among people who can't think for themselves.

Winonasalibi, I couldn't have better stated my feelings than you just did.

  • This is an arogant and ignorant one sided view of science.....

    God Bless Guther Von Hagans.

    The man is a genius

  • What is the life of this world but fleeting enjoyment? Is this not an immaculate declaration of our inevitable return from earthly soil?

Prove me otherwise that thought alone survives our physical demise and not the golden glut of human apetite.

  • controversial issue : ' The dead must serve the living '.

  • Ignorant caveman-ish people will always freak out over anything new they can't comprehend. This is inarguably a technique and method of preservation and display that yields valuable access to viewings of the human body in ways never before possible.

  • La Plastination nous aide à voir la face cachée de l'anatomie.

nous avions une vision plus nette,la structure.

C'est très beau, j'invite tous à aller voir

  • why is Gunther Von Hagens duplicate voice just like hannibal? hahahhaha what did you see clarice?:P

  • use a damn sound compressor so it doesnt ruins the sound dude!

  • this man is so brilliant, i hope to plastinate myself when I die

  • I love anatomy, and agree that plastination is a great idea in exhibitions in medical schools, I'm not so sure of the exhibitions outside that enviroment

  • I am so thrilled to take my children to Leonardo in SLC to see BW3.I would be honored to donate my body after I leave this earth to a great cause that can teach our future generations. Some people are uneducated and don't understand that this is educational and I am thankful for the chance to learn more about what God has created.

  • If he wants to do a work of art he should pick up a paint brush not a corpse .He should be banned he's just taking the piss & raking in the money from dead people

  • I just had the experience of BW2 and left there wondering where to sign up for donation. I am a blood donor and an organ donor(when I die). Now I want to donate what is left. What a great learning tool & experience. I learned more at this exibit in 2 hours than I have in my 47 yrs. Regardless of these people became teachers, that is what they are. Put me & a box an let me rot...NO WAY---let me be used to teach others or new doctors just how this body of our works.

  • There is information on the Body Worlds webpage about how to donate, if you haven't found that out yet.

  • i work at the science center in california, where the body world 3 exhibit is located and this fascinating. to see in detail what goes on in our bodies is nothing short of fascinating

  • I find this absolutely disrespectful and appolling! How could they do this to someone unless they have strictly recieve their permission on a piece of paper before their death. So what they are trying to say is that they will take some random hobo's body and do plastination on it.

  • Sikel96, I've just been to the exhibition in Manchester's (mosi). It was really interesting and well worth a visit, it's there until 29th of June.

  • Brilliant really want to see this in the flesh (excuse the pun!!) I think it is fascinating and as it's been mentioned before these people are dead it's such a waste not to use them for scientific understanding and potentially development. If anyone knows when the next one is in the uk please post it i really want to go. Again absolutely fantastic

  • If you want to know when he's in the UK, check out his web site?

  • I think I may be scarred for life...maybe.

  • this is so amazing. i loved it and i am taking my dad to see it. People are just retarded. They will also have somthing negative to say. The people who donate their bodies are wonderful, open minded people. the woman who is preggers donated her body when she found out she was diagnosed with cancer. she told docs to do their best to save her baby but if the baby couldnt be saved, to dontate them BOTH. That is beautiful

  • no respect for the bodies? people come from all over just to see these amazing bodies. I find that pretty respectable. It seems death - which is normal because it happens to everyone eventually - is being blown out of proportion. These scientific wonders should be marveled over not quarreled. The human body is extremely complex and the only way to learn about something so complex is to study it closely, so that we and future generations can benefit.

  • i feel like i might vomit

  • the thing that creeps me out is that both he and jorg buttgereit are german.

  • This thing is really fantastic!!!!

  • Amazing stuff...I will happily donate my body to this. I don't care if it's art, biology, voyeurism or blasphemy, it's fascinating & it makes you think....just like punk rock really!

  • I can't imagine how anyone could be against this. Why is it that we're tought to be ashamed of our bodies? I think the whole thing is fascinating. If people are willing to donate their bodies, then there's nothing wrong with learning from them. Think of all the doctors who save lives. They learned the same way, from studying cadavers.

  • I agree 100% with you. I've had the privilege of taking gross anatomy lab (cadaver lab) and it helped memaster my knowledge of the human body. Our bodies are incredibly intricate and this process does a fantastic job of showing non-medical personnel how truly remarkable the human body is.

  • i just hope that there isn't a plastination explosion... like.... these bodies won't rot, right? what will happen if we have bodies all over the world that don't rot!?!

    ....that's it. haha.

  • These same people that complain about something like this are the first people to go to the doctor and get medicine. Funny, cadavers are how the medical profession L E A R N. I would rather be plastic and have people learn from me instead of taking up space in the ground that someone has to MOW.

  • Error. Body on horse holds his brain in one hand and the horse's brain in other hand. Gruesome or not, kudos to Gunther who's rippled the world and the mind.

  • 'It has now come to light that many of the bodies displayed did not give their consent' this is not a hard fact. It's obvious that he is using plastination for artistic purposes. He isn't Harold Shipman.

  • my wife and i are both in the medical field and we saw the travelling exhibit in St. Louis and it was simply amazing...if we didn't take the time to learn how the body healed through the use of cadavers we would not be anywhere as medically advanced as we are today...this is another example of the ignorance of the lay person as to how we come to know about our own body systems

  • Same here, Except I was on a school fieldtrip.... It all reminds us that humans are freaks inside and that attraction is just sick and that you won't be liking anyone for a while once you come out of there.

  • Body worlds 3 that is.

  • These are people who gave their bodies to science or to the guy directly. We need to get over ourselves and our mortality.

  • Whats the big fucking deal?

The people are DEAD, it's not like they are using their bodies much these days.

    Stupid religious a-holes.

  • I agree. They were all going to be cadavers anyways. He bought them all lawfully, and on of them was actually a good friend of his who requested to be put into the exhibit after he died.

  • doctor Frankenstein...

  • thats killer

  • He didn't "kill" anyone.

  • that doctor looks a bit loony,just a bit.

  • i didn't know they were REAL bodies!!! who volunteers for this? i think it's fascinating to see the end product especially if used to further medicine and learning.....but the idea of using real people bothers me. thank you for sharing.

  • People traditionally are buried underground with worms and decomposers, or have their bodies burned to ashes, anyway. Most of the time, without their consent, because it is just "traditional". This video is no less sick. I'm sure some people in their minds would have wanted their bodies preserved instead of eaten by lowlifes or burned. Now when put it that way, which would be your choice?

  • 13:54 - "The dead must serve the living"

    This shit is SICK!!!!

  • ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh nasty but i still watch it

  • O___________O

  • I recently saw this exhibit and it is fantastic. I found it reverent and honorable. The gross-out factor ends after about a minute. Then you simply marvel at how engineered we seem to be. The people who donated their own bodies would be proud of the exhibit.

  • amazing... wow

  • Ok, perhaps there is a lot of contreversy about the whole deal, and maybe there isn't a lot of respect for the bodies, but I am told by present medical students that there is no respect for the bodies in their classes either. However, the science behind plastination is very clever, and has really advanced anatomical technique

  • wow awsome. I bet a lot of medical schools visit often.

  • shittttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
