The very best of road rallying

who ever is saying the stages are closed off doesnt know what a road rally is. all open to public roads timed at 30mph

We've got a rally car and I love the sport. We've done plenty road rallies as a night leg on the endurance stuff. I can't get my head around the fact that a farmers wife might be taking her pregnant daughter in labour to hospital ( for talking sakes ) when a rally car takes all three of them out., and there's going to be hell to pay for the whole rallying community. The national papers would have a field day.

But can't you get stopped from contuinuing if you exceed the average?

well if the police catch you then they can stop you like they can with any other speeding driver

@joshyd12 Isnt this an official rally event where they close the roads down? Police don't catch people during rally events because the road is closed because it's a racing event.

@carveriscool Not on a public highway.  If there are selectives on private ground then yes as you need the land owners permission to be on there, but even then they are timed to an average speed of 30mph.
