What they recovered is a Stalinets type artillery tractor. I'm not fluent in Russian, but it seems they originally expected to find a WW2 T-34 tank with its crew still inside - instead they've found a tractor.

Its a stalinet tractor. It was used by the soviets as a prime mover during WWII. The driver probably died by a german bullet before the crawler drove into the swamp.
