its a sad story. i grew up with full house, and as far as i can remember it was the first sitcom i watched, so when the drug problems became public, it was hard to put together that the adorable little stephanie was the same person and the meth addict. It was almost scary to me. Its good to see that she appears to be better now because she is a talented beautiful woman and mother and i'd hate to see her life wasted.

She would do interviews for money to support her drug habit. Jodie seems to be normal, but she has an addictive personality. What's sad about this is 3 years later she admits in her book she wasn't really in recovery when this aired she was still relapsing and struggling with sobriety. She only did this because she was exposed by tabloids and had to confront the stories (many untrue) they were telling. Last I've heard she's been clean for almost 2 1/2 years and is doing well. Thank you Jodie for "coming clean" about your addiction, as a recovering addict I can't tell you how important it is to shed light on addiction.

@jpd782 I'm a recovering addict. Addicts are very crafty and good (or at least try to be) at hiding it, for a while anyway. With alcohol it's a little different because you can tell with big behavior changes, slurring, the smell, ect., but with any kind of drugs (mine were pills I was prescribed) there's lots of ways to hide it. Your main focus is to to hide what you're doing or hide that you have a problem. For family of an addict there may be some denial too, not wanting to see the problem.
