I don't know if you guys realized this or of i'm missing something... so if the A-5 runs out of paint... what are they going to do? i don't see any harness or pods. Also if this was a realistic training.. where is the gear? vest? i'm not talking shit about the vid. it's great but it just seems like it's missing a few things... Also why A-5? doesn't the US army have their line of paintball guns? why not use the M4 milsim version?
@LegendPaintball well yeah the army isnt going to spend a thousand dollars on an ego for training they could us the money that comes from our taxes to better use then spending on a paintball gun. no paintball gun is going to really close to a real gun. but it does come closer then blanks lazer or airsoft guns
@2ndcoat3 yeah but i have an a5 and even with a 14inch two peice proto barrel on it, i can hit a 1 square foot plate consecutively at 30 feet- they are just TOO inaccurate. the shots would curve like MAD
@LegendPaintball yeah i use to own a a5 i know what ur talking about i was saying the army isnt going to buy thousand dollar guns like an ego when they have a deal with tippman
@2ndcoat3 egos are too light - tippmanns have more realistic weight if you're going for combat training. But yeah, probably not the most accurate marker. If they had lots of money they'd probably use Tiberius T4s with FS rounds and HPA, not egos.
@2ndcoat3 no... no it doesnt.... blanks are far more realistic esp. when they have the laser system on, mainly because of enagement ranges and noise. Paintball could be ok for closequarters training but i personally think, when im off on excercise, id rather use the laser system than piantball. but the helocopters? why? watse of money really, if your gonna have heli insertion atleast have a full blown 2 week excercise
@sam345 yeah noise wise. they even said in the video that it makes people to take cover. then the blanks if i knew that it was blanks i wouldnt take cover i would if i had something flying towards my face
@sam345 we used paintball as a way to have a bit of fun and start off the weekend of training. the rest of our training exercise was with M4s and blanks. unfortunately, we are a Reserve Officers' Training Corps unit and don't rate the MILES or other laser system. As far as the helicopters, it is part of our program to expose these potential future Army leaders to as many facets of Army operations as we can...the ILARNG was gracious enough to fly us...all these guys were back at school on MON

@Docjobie Do you really expect a bunch of future ring pushers to do any better? That's the life of an officer, half the work and twice the pay.
