omnia has the ldctest.exe - but have only: red,green, blue, melody, vibration, dimming, megacam, cifcam, touch, light sensor (not working), sleepmode, mouse.

the Proximity sensor is actually used already. Imagine clicking around on the screen when having the phone by your ear - you can't ;) why? well guess :D

also, to access the LCD test easier: try to call *#09#

My windows is 6.1, for exemple I don´t have the menu start same a computer, like yours

I've been planning to get a replacement phone for my near-4year old Nokia N70, and decided on this due to availability, instead of having another iDevice in the home.

Seems I've made a good choice with picking the Omnia II. Nice to see they left something that smart users can use to self-QA their own phones.

yes it does....type *#0*# and the lcd test will start, what you don't have on i900 are the last 4...compas, acc...instead you have mouse

This is also available on the Samsung Omnia (1). I use it to test for dead pixels and to access the CIFcam.

Awesome. Too bad samsung didn't market the phone as one equipped with a compass. Makes me quite mad when some people are so defensive and go "OH iPhones are the bestest!" when all Apple seems to be doing is catching up with the latest Windows Mobile phones.

Actually a lot of the newer HTC do have the hardware but developers have not utilized them yet.
