  • The way the blue and white acrylics mix together in the window is beautiful! I love your idea of using a spiral to represent death which a bunch of universal things like the heart for love to represent the person's life going into the spiral with them. The metaphor is simple but elegant.

  • when i was in preschool, one of the other kids told me that everyone dies. i cried all day.

  • Sorry to hear this ttakdliw

  • Well... I guess this is a good place to put this,.. Chopper died back in March.

  • Death is one of those things people will never fully understand and really want to. My first death experience I was 4 when my grandmother passed and not long after when I was 9, my mother. Amazing painting.

  • wow im sorry to here that

  • it was along time ago, no need to be sorry.

  • Are you wearing a chocolate heart? Looks yummy!!

  • Haha, nice ring tone you have.

Yes, death is everything you said. That painting looks almost 3D... But my first death experience - I think I was too young to understand it at all.

  • I first experienced the effects of death when I was about six or seven, my mom's grandfather died, and people always cried. I never really knew him, but when people talk about him, they always look sad.

Since then, a couple other family members have died, as well, ones closer to my heart than my Great Grandfather, and it always feels unhappy for awhile. But then we feel as though they have gone to a better place.

  • I feel like "death on a soda cracker".

  • Amazing paintings <3 I love how you explain what the paintings meanings(:

its somewhat touched me, since I've had two loved ones (atlease the ones I've seen and experienced) pass away.. still today I wonder where they are.. or even what they are..

  • I've had many experiences with death. Each death always felt like the first one. If it's someone close to you - say, a family member - their death seems to leave an empty void in your heart. There will always be an emptiness, but wrapped around it will be the memories that you cherish, if you're lucky enough to have such memories.

  • i learned about death a few years ago when the one who died was a childhood friend ever since i as a little kid about the age i met him was 6 and I'm 14 now..... and that's 10 years so i was in tears when i found out he died .... (btw I'm a guy) but buy the time the funeral came i was the only one not crying.... (trust me i didn't cry ...) i didn't even knew what death even was till that day came ..... i died a little inside knowing i just lost a childhood friend.

  • I love your painting! It makes me think of something Tim Burton would do (that is my HIGHEST complement!), cuz there is darkness, but hope, and an understanding that we understand pretty much nothing about many things.

  • you are the most beautyful window in the net !!!!!!

val you are very luky to be so very nice

I love the way you think of art as a way of explaning things.

  • Ist das Val feisty again? i heard she lost someone. When she was in blogtv i thought she was grazy, or i heard wrong, propably did. Suddenly she looked in my tired eyes like harsh "red queen" saying all the way caramel in his mouth, making faces, "i know" and "why not" xD

  • From what I understand when a Black Hole sucks in enough matter it emits particles called "Hawkings" named for the scientist who discovered it. According to this I doubt Black Holes lead to another dimension.

Unfortunately, the first death I experienced was of a close friend of mine, when I was still in Elementary school. Yeah, it was harsh.

  • I like the way so many subpatterns emerge from those blue and white 'waves'.

  • Val I hope you are feeling better. I can tell this episode was a very difficult one to make. Hang in there and eat some cookies 8-)

  • I love this painting! great job val!

  • thanks :)

  • Sexy artist

  • you're a very amazing inspiring artiest!

  • Everybody is "beeping" these days. It's a shame.

  • Your intro is very nicely done:).

  • Not many people subscribe to this concept. I believe death is not the end, but transformation into a new life; eternity. Each one of us has a soul and a spirit that doesn't die. Where you go depends on how you believe. I won't venture any further except to say that our experiences, even the death of loved ones, serve to give our lives meaning in life and the ability to help others in our journey. Peace and love.

  • very cool

  • That picture is fucking amazing.

  • Your art is freaking amazing

  • I think it would be adorable if you made a Nerimon doll xD Alex would be so honored by it - I'm sure.

  • i like ur necklace its very pretty

  • This is a very emotional video for me to watch because my little brother died 2 months ago and he was an artist too. Don't think I will ever believe or got used to the fact that he is gone.

  • Death is peaceful (:...i think xD

  • what a beautiful mind

    so unpretentious

I watch these videos and forget how beautiful the person is too

    what a wonderful human package

  • that painting is absolutely gorgeous

  • OMG you are an AMAZING artist!!! like seriously!!!! <3

  • i died twice! sounds odd but its true...and guess what there was nothing, when you die thats it.

  • How do you know you died if there "was nothing" to indicate death?

  • i died..... the doctors said i was dead, i was on monitors they said i was dead, why cant people understand we die and thats it? i am still alive and have MEMORY work it out einstein!

  • coward!!

  • very nice, maybe you will regret saying that one day...a stroke could happen to you and you wont know a thing about it,i was very lucky. maybe you or a family member will have one and not be so lucky! karma can bite you in the ass.

  • I don't give a f*ck what you say. You're obviously an extremely rude person who doesn't give a sh*t about having respect for anyone else, so why should I for you? Yeah, I don't have any sympathy for ya. Out of respect for Val though, I'm ending this.

  • you are the rude one here..i have not sworn at you have I? dont need your sympathy. you will get whats coming to you..all you have done is make yourself look very stupid! thanks for the laugh : )

  • cousin'

  • can you make a sxephil doll XD

  • YouTube video unlinked but named: Near Death Experience, Not Now My Daughter -at billsvideos123

  • hi val, you know, life is energy, never leaving, only transferring form. Although our body ceases to exist ,our energy, our spirit will not. Life live, love life and create.

That is way we're here, yes ? Just "Be" and give :]

  • I've had a recent experience with death...I just can't believe it yet...

  • I really like the painting, Val. Even more than usual!

  • Thou art slave to Fate, Chance, kings, and desperate men,

And dost with poyson, warre, and sicknesse dwell,

And poppie, or charmes can make us sleepe as well,

    And better then thy stroake; why swell'st thou then;

One short sleepe past, wee wake eternally,

And death shall be no more; death, thou shalt die. - John Donne

  • DEATH be not proud, though some have called thee

Mighty and dreadfull, for, thou art not so,

For, those, whom thou think'st, thou dost overthrow,

Die not, poore death, nor yet canst thou kill me.

From rest and sleepe, which but thy pictures bee,

Much pleasure, then from thee, much more must flow,

And soonest our best men with thee doe goe,

Rest of their bones, and soules deliverie.

  • does anyone know how she does the yellow spirals? using what? a brush? mm

  • I ate FOOD! I'm no longer delirious with coffee!

Now I'm going for a walk. I'm hoping you have a nice day Val; it was great to see you back on blogtv again ;)

  • The way I interpret the painting is that we're living in a reality we can't even perceive, let alone understand. It's formless and colorless and seems to have us going in circles. What we see is a very different image through a very narrow window. Our perception of reality is just a tiny abstract view, filtered out of all of the truth, and packed for our limited senses and cognitive abilities to grasp. To me it's like trying to see the world by looking through a microscope.

  • I should correct myself in saying we feel like we're going in circles but, just like moving into a vortex, we're moving in circles and moving forward at the same time. But forward into what? That's a big question.

  • I believe death is a transition, because I believe that humans have two distinct natures, a physical and a spiritual nature. The spiritual nature occupies its own reality and lives after the body. I thought I'd add this part because of the question you posed in your description.

  • did u know u r the most interesting and charismatic person i`ve ever seen? lol

ur art is beautiful just as u r too :)

    keep the incredible job up

    ^^

  • i can see what you mean about the symbol of your painting.....it is absolutely beautiful what you have made there! Makes me think about a dream world..often people worry too much about death and staying young that they don't focus on living...death is another window we must all look through when we lose some one close to us and then go through ourselves one day. i think you have captured that remarkably well here! peace and blessings to you! :-)

  • Death is unexplainable. Death can be a one giant dark cloud that will never part, a series of bright vibrant colors, or maybe nothing at all. I just get scared thinking about it.

  • i hate to think about dying..i only wonder about the feeling of death, like when your soul is actually leaving your body. does it hurt? does it tickle? i dunno, im not dead yet. im glad you did this video, it makes me think a bit more. and a bit less.

  • that is so AWESOME :P

  • I love your videos, everything you make looks gorgeous! It makes me want to grab some paint and see what comes out! Of course I put that notion away since I'm not very good but it's the thought that counts. As for the doll, I think it'd be funny to do Natalie frrom communitychannel on youtuber. She's really funny and always saying how akward she looks so I think she might get a kick out of the doll.

    ;p

As always, Love your videos, can't wait for sunday --- Puppypoodle123 a.k.a. Kassie

  • The painting really touched me. Something about it... I don't know what exactly.

I wish you all the best in this hard time and I'm looking forward to seeing more of you and your work.

  • That was amazing

  • i hope you keep doing this for a very long time, when i have my own house i will definately decorate it using your art! :D

  • awwhh... thanks :)

  • my dad was

  • I have someone in mind to be made into a cookie dough doll... Yooouuu, Val !!!

  • haha... no! not me :P

  • Thank you so much Val, your videos inspired me to be more artistic, now every week I photograph, paint or, draw.

you are a truly beautiful person. :)

  • make a michael jackson doll :)

  • When love and death embrace...

  • I hope you are doing better these days, Val. I know what it is like to lose someone you were close to. Strangely, I am not afraid of dying but I hate when other people die. The painting you whipped up is extremely interesting and it also has its beauty, even though it is dark and moody. Thank you for sharing your personal experiences and your creativity, as always : ]

  • thanks so much for sharing.. i agree also I am not afraid of dying but I do hate when other ppl die :(

  • That is the inherent problem, you should be afraid to die and afraid for your loved ones...when judgment day comes, whether you believe it or not.

  • i love you.

  • I like your necklace

  • I love the painting you are so talented

  • Man I really like that intro! You're without a doubt the sexiest, and among the most talented, artists on youtube.

  • I really like this painting...maybe it's my darker sensibility. Rock on, Val!

  • oh wow.... i wait all week to see your videos.. =)

amazing painting.. can you make a trent reznor doll??

    =)

  • I love the doll! Anothony Hopkins dolly! or... the japanese singer Miyavi.

A close friend of mine died about a month ago...it's really painful. I know what you're going threw.

You're an amazing artist and I look forward to you every Sunday (usually after Church!) <3 keep it up val!!!

  • As I've gotten older I have seen many loved ones pass on. I miss so many of them now. All I can say is spend your time with loved ones now, before they are gone.

    Beautiful painting Val.

  • death to me is mysterious, im frightened but intrigued by it. at first i thought it couldnt be bad and i wasnt afraid, but after a dream where i fell from a cliff and while i was falling realized how beautiful and worth living life was i suddenly became terrified, so i now try my best to live life to its fullest because anything can happen. and where i live there have been to many teenager accidental deaths that it just makes me aware that it could happen to me so i better be ready.

  • Death is just another phase, just like birth, death has its purpose.

  • Death really has a way of bringing out the philosopher in us all......Thanks Val.......sorry for the loss.....beautiful painting :D.....

  • I'm not sure if this makes me a horrible person, but my cousin died on June 3rd, this year. I didn't cry, but I started laughing. o-o

  • I first experienced death when I was 7 yrs old. My grandmother died. I didn't understnad....but a year latr I was watching Rosie O'Donnell's Kids Are Punny and she made a joke about cancer...I ran to my room and broke down and cried. I told my mom that the lady on tv had no right to make fun of cancer becuae it took gramma.

  • When my mother passed away from Alzheimer's,I saw it as a release.

  • i love that painting. u r amazing!

  • 10 people i loved died all in a 5 year time. it was hard but they are on my angels

  • you =button=cute

  • my grandma died when i was five. everyone in my family (and many others in my life) is so much older than me so i have to go though death a lot right now. it's very sad. but it's okay because i know they are in a better place :)

  • to me death is like something that can scare you but you shouldnt let it give you fear cuz its gonna happen anyway whether you like it or not.

but its kinda creepy cuz no one know what happens to you after you die. @___@

  • I love your ring tone! I think death is just the next step in life, maybe there's another step after that?

  • i think your so beautiful, i always look foward to your videos on sunday :)

  • What ever happened to your iPhone Channel... where are the updates? Are you done with that channel?
