It's true that marriage confers civil benefits and that one doesn't have to be married in a church, so to deny equal treatment to gays is wrong, however, the traditional definition of marriage should be left as is, imo. I Can't wait for gay activists to protest some black churches down in south central L.A. or Inglewood. You know, the ones where 80% of the church voted for prop 8. The Mormans are too nice. They aren't protesting everyone who voted in California...you're missing it. They're protesting the Mormon church because of the ridiculous amounts of money they poured into passing Prop 8. If they were simply protesting the Mormon church because of their physical support, rather than monetary support- they'd be protesting many other places in the state...say the OC, the Central Valley, etc...

It's true. There is a limit. Geez. If gay marriages. Next prostitutes. Next Prosoners. Next kids will want the legal age to get married lowered. Where do you stop? Just because you're gay or have a family member whose gay does not make it right. Yes we tolerate it but how can you ask people to legalize what is morally incorrect?

What does the fact that you are Asian have anything to do with this argument? Fighting for what's right is doing something for this country- it's aiming for progression, when you are the type of person wasting the resources this country has to offer (freedom, equality that we boast)- I don't think the founding fathers meant freedom to oppress people in this country.
