I experienced this. It was my first visit to Tate Modern and it made me love the place.
I will never forget being there, lying on the floor and staring up trying to find myself and my friends in the crowd of people. There was also a strange feeling of vertigo after a while, like you might fall off the ceiling even though you were on the floor. It was truely awe inspiring.
so amazing ! i wanted to see this so badly ! is there any way potentially to re experience this in another place or gallery ?? will it maybe come back to the tate once again ??
No he has said that it will never happen again actually. He went on about how its important that the object is missed. I don't know he is a very interesting character.
It's the sun, the mist, and the sky [mirror]. Eliasson tries to make the visitors realise that his work is, in fact, about them mostly. So they realise the nature of the project. Believe me, it's unforgettable.
I went there ^^ Oh that partz now changed into Dominique Gonzalez Forester Turbaine Hall now. It jsut has a big screen, bunk bedz and bookz. But itz great i had to do a course for 2 dayz on it at tate modern =]
Heya I know that you posted this a long time ago, but just wanted to say thank you. I was in London visiting and went to this exhibit... it was quite a surreal experience, and your video brought back all those memories.
Thanks for posting this. I heard about it, but could not go to London, so this was a gret way to experience it a bit. I found the mirrored ceiling especially interesting as part of this. It explains why people were so willing to lie down for all that time too.
Thank you thank you I LOVED that exhibition and I wish there could be a permanent installation of it in the Turbine Hall, it was truly extraordinary . You are a legend for posing it here.

How come when you directly look into the light it becomes more darker and when you see it more beside or afar of it, it become more brighter..

Nothing clever, just the shutter reacting to the light - it rather unwittingly works.

Oh.. Okay, but i may be dumb but... What does the project do? Like watching a bright and big light and what?

It's about being surrounded by the art. You aren't a spectator, you ARE part of the art. Its really great, it reminds me of an African sunset.

It's a pleasure. It was pretty incredible, and I can still smell the dry ice.
