  • nice mr. sun.

  • you did a nice job with a sun that never moves

  • very nicely filmed, thankyou

  • I experienced this. It was my first visit to Tate Modern and it made me love the place.

I will never forget being there, lying on the floor and staring up trying to find myself and my friends in the crowd of people. There was also a strange feeling of vertigo after a while, like you might fall off the ceiling even though you were on the floor. It was truely awe inspiring.

    Thank you for posting.

  • wow. it looks so apocalyptic

  • can you tell me what day did you record it????

  • @blului My EXIF data says 24 January, 2004.

  • so amazing ! i wanted to see this so badly ! is there any way potentially to re experience this in another place or gallery ?? will it maybe come back to the tate once again ??

  • No he has said that it will never happen again actually. He went on about how its important that the object is missed. I don't know he is a very interesting character.

  • The gd times !I remember that feeling I had when I was there! The heat, the light, everything! It's so clear! Spooky!

  • It's like watching a sunset !

  • C.D.C Reeve's translation of Plato's "The Republic" garners an image of this...it's fantastic

  • I'm sorry I never saw it.

  • How come when you directly look into the light it becomes more darker and when you see it more beside or afar of it, it become more brighter..

  • Nothing clever, just the shutter reacting to the light - it rather unwittingly works.

  • Oh.. Okay, but i may be dumb but... What does the project do? Like watching a bright and big light and what?

  • It's the sun, the mist, and the sky [mirror]. Eliasson tries to make the visitors realise that his work is, in fact, about them mostly. So they realise the nature of the project. Believe me, it's unforgettable.

  • It's about being surrounded by the art. You aren't a spectator, you ARE part of the art. Its really great, it reminds me of an African sunset.

  • Autoexposure in the camera.

  • I went there ^^ Oh that partz now changed into Dominique Gonzalez Forester Turbaine Hall now. It jsut has a big screen, bunk bedz and bookz. But itz great i had to do a course for 2 dayz on it at tate modern =]

  • Thank you for this new person to admire, to investigate. *o* <-/--< Send in the clowns.

  • Heya I know that you posted this a long time ago, but just wanted to say thank you. I was in London visiting and went to this exhibit... it was quite a surreal experience, and your video brought back all those memories.

Hope life is treating you well. Cheers!

  • It's a pleasure. It was pretty incredible, and I can still smell the dry ice.

    K.

  • Thanks for posting this. I heard about it, but could not go to London, so this was a gret way to experience it a bit. I found the mirrored ceiling especially interesting as part of this. It explains why people were so willing to lie down for all that time too.

  • great,great,great,great,great......thank you for posting

  • Thank you thank you I LOVED that exhibition and I wish there could be a permanent installation of it in the Turbine Hall, it was truly extraordinary . You are a legend for posing it here.

  • Never been called a legend before! Thanks
