  • Just a tad less speed over the fence, and eliminate that one bounce, and he could have nailed it on a lot sooner! :-)

  • Slower stall speed. Slats and flaps decrease nose up angle required on approach.

  • What's the benefit of slats on a Cub?  Doesn't it mostly just keep the nose high on both T/O and landing? From what I've seen the slatless Cub needs very little runway as it is.
