A woman is allowed to work, but she must seek permission from her husband. Her husband cannot demand any money from her that she worked for. If a husband demands it, blame him not the law.

On the other hand, it is absolutely incumbent upon the man to provide his wife withe the following:
1) A roof (i.e. a house to live within)
2) 3 COOKED meals a day
3) Someone to nurse the babies
4) Someone to take care of the children
5) Someone to clean the home
Basically, the man must provide everything financially. If a woman chooses to work, every single cent she makes belongs to her. She doesn't have to give a dime to her husband.

It says a woman can't refuse sex, but what it really means is that a man can force sex on his wife, AKA rape. And yes, if it is violent and forced, even if it is with your wife, it is still rape as you are still violating her. It's a very cruel thing.

I must tell you that the very frame work of Sharia law does not allow for a fair trial of any sort of complex criminal or civil cases. Notice the number of female protesters. They are so few in number...they are the upper class women who are probably on a pay roll.
Afghan women are notorious for being tough. If this were truly a violation of female rights, you'd see exponentially more women on the street.
Let's face it, the real reason why this law is receiving negative attention is so that the US can continue it's war in Afghanistan.

maybe there are few women because if the ones who arent financially independent protest then they get into alot of trouble with their husbands. and even if women can keep all their money to themselves... how many husbands acctually let the women keep money? because whatever said and done... physical abuse is not an uncommon way of getting what they want. and wether it's a man or a woman.. both of them are human beings, so why should any one of them have a right over the other?

You are correct. But please blame the husbands, not the law. Afghan men, to be blunt, are often ignorant savages (I'm Afghan).
Like I explained below in earlier posts, both have their own rights and their own responsibilities. Men and women were created differently and thus, they perform different roles.
A woman is allowed to work, but she must seek permission from her husband. Her husband cannot demand any money from her that she worked for. If a husband demands it, blame him not the law.

Islamic and Afghan law completely prohibits these types of actions (i.e. abuse, rape, theft).
These other laws co-exist with this new law to create a balance.
This new law lays out the resonsibilities of men and women with one another and the previous laws prevent anyone from overstepping their boundaries (i.e. husbands abusing wives).

It's hard to explain especially in such a forum as this (Youtube comments).
This law is not exclusive. In Islam both men and women have their own rights and their own duties. In Islam the only obligation of a woman is that she sleeps with her husband. She does not need to take care of the house, take care of the children, clean, cook or anything. In Surah Nisa in the Quran (chaptered "The Women"), it is stated that a woman should even be paid by her husband for breastfeeding her child!

On the other hand, it is absolutely incumbent upon the man to provide his wife withe the following:
1) A roof (i.e. a house to live within)
2) 3 COOKED meals a day
3) Someone to nurse the babies
4) Someone to take care of the children
5) Someone to clean the home
Basically, the man must provide everything financially. If a woman chooses to work, every single cent she makes belongs to her. She doesn't have to give a dime to her husband.

The whole problem with this law is that it possibly allows violence against women. You have to look at the wording. It says a woman can't refuse sex, but what it really means is that a man can force sex on his wife, AKA rape. And yes, if it is violent and forced, even if it is with your wife, it is still rape as you are still violating her. It's a very cruel thing.
