I have had fair share of cheap boards from Asrock and Gigabyte, none of them survived for more than 12months.
Answer is, dont buy cheap mainboards. Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, ECS, Foxconn, few of the manufacturers, they all make low end boards because the market is there, spend a little more get a quality board.
outstanding cpu and memory support from asrock, they are probably the best in this area.. and i really liked to see the tom's hardware article because it not only shows that asrock is entering at the top level of motherboards performance, but they are also beating the other p45 based motherboards from other brands in a few aspects. i just hope that they don't start rising prices! because this way asrock is really the best on performance/price relation with no doubts on it.
Wow I never thought AsRock was a good Mobo brand... I think i'll be concerning them on my next build..... one thing though Im not much of an overclocker so I have trouble getting a good review on a board running stock perhaps they should test board running w/o overclocking

Asrock has the most stable mobos i ever used. In fact most of the mobos I used in the past died on me after a couple of years, whereas the Asrock I have now has been running steadily for over 3 years. I'll be upgrading soon because I need more power from the 'puter, but I'm sticking with AsRock for my mobo needs...
ASRock has a sure winner with the P45. The board provides users with CrossFire support, 7.1 HD audio, WiFi capabilities, overclocking and monitoring software and many other perks. Adding to the benefits of CrossFire, great audio, and WiFi - Hybrid DDR2/DDR3 and out-of-the box support for Intels latest processors give an average user just about everything they would need in a board.
Overall, the long-term impressions of the ASRock P45R2000-WiFi are largely positive. Solid capacitors and overall build quality are quite strong, the chipset very runs cool, and voltage is stable. Solid caps are said to be more durable than older style caps and the board seems to be designed on a solid platform so we have no concerns there. Chipset and mosfet temperatures remain very low, even using the highest voltages available for NB and running orthos to produce heat.
Finally an excelent MB from ASRock.Don't misunderstand...ALL ASRock MBs are cheap and VERY reliable, but this MBs was what I was looking for from ASRock. This MBs supports many different CPUs having a great big variaty of chipsets.A big + for making these boards and for the continued support for your costumers!
This is a great motherboard. No more FSB limitations due to an inferior chipset. All of this performance and still does a great job of conserving energy too.
always progressive upgrades and continous support from Asrock , you cannot be let down by any mobo from Asrock as always there are solutions for the emerging problems and continually advanced technology
i assemble lots of pc's with asrock mobos and i tottaly agree, asrock has a lot mobo's with many different chipsets and these brand boards always offer support to the new cpu's with no worries ;)
AsRock is definitely correct in saying they are the most compatible boards around. I work for a small business. We needed to build a small server farm a few months ago and ended up doing it with desktop parts. After extensive testing, AsRock boards consistently came out on top of both Gigabyte and Asus in terms of both performance and compatibility. Since its been put in place using AsRock boards, we have not had one issue. AsRock really does ROCK!

Wow! I didn't know about compability problems P45 might have and Asrock have not. Thats just another reason to buy Asrock rather than other brands motherboard, considered the higher price of non-Asrocks too.
Asrock know we dont want change everytime Memory and with this motherboard we can use DDR 2 or DDR 3, it's very smart. On top of that the motherboard is compatible with the most of memory. it's the good choice for anyone want a stable and safe motherboard. Also Asrock stay the best price / performance report.
Since I use Motherboard bought ASROCK reason eh ... have generally been very durable, have an excellent performance and had never eh serious problems. Lately the Motherboards ASROCK have high quality and this means more performance. Congratulations
Nice going Asrock, glad to see we are getting the product that we pay for and not the advertise, on the next budget this will be my upgrade from the Asrock P43Twins1600 MB that I own right now.
As a system builder I have used all types of MBs in the past, I found Asrock to be the best, from Intel to AMD, I use the AliveNF7G-HD720p R5.0 with the true Quad core 9850 CPU 4G Mem 32"HDMI Monitor using the built in VGA,If I played games? then I might think about a G-card? but this system rocks. I have also build my Server 2003Ent using the same board with a 4800 AMD getting the Drivers was tricky but possible again the tests are top marks Well done Asrock you "ROCK"
I don't know why my post never got here, even though I pushed that button - anyway, to sum it up: AsRock never let me down - I never had (in)compatibility issues (always updated the bios) or overclocking errors/problems. I'm so proud to see such a major evolution - and I respect your hard work / the time spent to improve the new Intel chipsets.
i'm an italian, and here it's difficult to find in a computer shop, asrock motherboard, not for quality of components which are good, but for the heavy presents of other brands that often offer worse products with a hight price.the test show clearly the good qualities of asrock motherboards which demostrate an excellent overclock.i would like to have one...sorry for my little-english
Great MBs from ASRock. I'm using the 4CoreDual-VSTA, which was a good upgrade-board. Now after changing to DDRII-RAM and PCI-E it's time to make a new step...
I work for the Department Engineering of Warwick University and decided to update my computer. I asked colleagues to advice a reliable motherboard I could trust and they were naming Asus, Gateway, Intel or Asrock. I checked the motherboards overviews and picked up the Asrock P43 based board, because it has P43 chip with PCI-E 2.0, developed overclocking, DDR3, 1600 FSB and more features then others. Now I think I will not disappoint my colleagues at the university with the board performance.
Yeah, if I'm honest, the last Asrock board I purchased was on the S478 platform (to replace another S478 board that had died) and its been running fine to this day, and as somebody has already said, I wouldn't mind going AsRock's way again at some point. Anything built off Intel chipsets are always quick no matter what, and I do know AsRock boards to be very compatible if nothing else!
Great video! I think that Tier-1 motherboard manufacturers as stated above (we shall not speak their name) - G and M are going to be pretty upset with this video :-)
How will they be able to sell their overpriced products (and have compatibility issues) against As-rock motherboard?! It's price is mostly 50% lower, and it doesn't have compatiliby issues! I think that some engineers at G and M will have to work several days long in the night, to resolve those issues permanently.
Soy de Tucumán, argentina y por aqui estan bien conceptuadas las Mother Asrock, personalmente probe 3 modelos diferentes y no tuve ningun problema, personalmente las recomiendo. Buen Producto
I must say the truth I had tried Asrock some time back for the socket 478 and I had no regrets. Now I'm going for ASROCK and infact bought another 2 boards from that time , with my last P45Turbo Twins2000 running on my flagship PC with a further chance to upgrade both my CPU and RAM to latest technologies.High quality hardware and features with excellent performance and pricing.Never had any kind of problems not even compatability ones.
To tell the truth I tried Asrock for socket 478 P4VM900-SATA2 - I got a stable setup. But then I went for Asrock for the lga 775 - the Wolfdale1333-D667 , now lately I mounted my flagship PC with a 550W dual video cards ready PSU - 4 GB ram - the 9600 GT , 750GB HDD on the ASROCK P45TurboTwins2000 with an E6850 , setup is 100% stable , performance is excellent , high features , good quality ( also with solid state components ) , at an excellent price.Highly recommended.
Pretty cool and informative video. Now I know that I'll definitely purchase Asrock instead of Asus. I think I'll get the P45XE though, because it fits all my needs. I'll mention this to my user's on my blog too at:
i found it interesting.. i have an ALiveNF7G-HD720p R2.0 and it does the job but im wanting to move to intel then i saw this competiton and thaught it was a chance to win the mobo.. i think its cool that the asrock mobo worked instntly and the gigabyte was not.. asrock FTW
The new motherboard is perfectly compatible with any hardware as seen in the video, this helps to save money as the most economical hardware can be used for the motherboard. It is powerful and energy efficient. Its superior graphics and wireless connectivity make me want to use the new P45XE-WiFiN. I love ASRock because its motherboards are value for money and reliable.
This motherboard meets exelent for my needs, I want to change my this P43R1600Twins-WiFi one sees better though it does not have for DDR3 it(he,she) would be brilliant(genial) in my PC.
With this card it might put my hd3850 in crossfire:D
Hello, thank you very much asrock has been characterized as a company that builds elements of excellent quality and even fair price to buyers, proof of price / performance is the P45XE-WiFiN motherboard! With an excellent performance and high performance, I've been using asrock since several years, since the 741gx and always has surprised me, thank you very much remain on the market by computers.
my asrock p43r1600twins-wifi that won few months back.. Works like wonders.. Overclocked e8200 from 333 to 400 with no sweat...using crucial ballistix(not much motherboard supports)..no doubt.. ASRock motherboard does support almost everything plus lots of bios update.... good luck :)
That's an awesome and setup and no wonder there's some compatibility issues with other mobos. I've been using Asrock since the socket478 days up to now and had no problems whatsoever. Keep up the good work!
ASROCK are my favourite for building cheap and reliable pc... my first one survived when a lighting hit my house.... still works just the onboard lan died :(
Thank you for posting this comparison of boards. I did not realize that memory made a difference with certain CPUs not working with some brands, so I found this very informative. I love seeing tests like this. But, man that was a huge video card. Which one was that?
I did a lot of research recently to build my girlfriend a computer, and I chose the Asrock 4Core1600P35-WiFi+ and I am glad I did. It worked the first time I booted it.
That is what i like about ASROCK, like in the past AGP & PCI-E on one board und now DDR2 and DDR3 on one board *thumps up* so u can wait until the prices dor DDR3 getting lower
I still don't understand where the problem was arising though.
It could be worth-while to determine what is at the source of those compatibility issues.
ASRock seems to have a good value for money ratio.
People want to run Linux and Windows and there are some manufacturers who seem to make their motherboards incompatible with Linux / or just did not think of this at the time of designing. So that's another point to think about.
if i was looking for extreme overclocking capabilities, to be honest i'd probably get the "m brand"; but since the best thing you could ask for in a motherboard is a headache avoidance (don't really know if that word exists), i will always go for asrock
It is not easy to get Asrock motherboards in the market. I asked many computer shops in Singapore or even Malaysia and they are so scared of this brand. If Asrock is really good, why it got so limited stock. :-(
Your video is a fraud.. Using others non-production samples, with no model name disclosed or BIOS version mentioned. And compared to your own specially tuned board??
Showing post initial screen does not proof your board really supports QX9770.. run some benchmark to proof..
the truth is all odm/eom have some king of problem, some bad design running free. jajajaja. u can guarantie nothing, becuase some component can be fail. no matter what name or product, is easy jst can be fail.

I highly recommend this supplier.
Well done Asrock.

Well done Guys.

The asrock motherboard kicks the other 2's asses.
Better compatibility, lower price. And very durable too. Why would you buy another motherboard than Asrock, I use them all the time.
Pretty sore if you bought an "M" or "G" motherboard and a FSB1600 cpu, and it doesn't work. Newer Asrock boards already support FSB2000 CPU!
By the way, what's that little card in the PCI slot with the digit display on it?

The new motherboard is perfectly compatible with any hardware as seen in the video, this helps to save money as the most economical hardware can be used for the motherboard. It is powerful and energy efficient. Its superior graphics and wireless connectivity make me want to use the new P45XE-WiFiN. I love ASRock because its motherboards are value for money and reliable.

Hmmm, interesting.

I am furious that meny sites on net don't even bother to do a review to a Asrock MB.
They are all busy with Abit,Msi, Gigabyte, and
that's a shame because the Asrock MB are very good too, and at least equal on performance level !
3xdan 3 years ago
if i was looking for extreme overclocking capabilities, to be honest i'd probably get the "m brand"; but since the best thing you could ask for in a motherboard is a headache avoidance (don't really know if that word exists), i will always go for asrock
ivandiazarg 3 years ago
Asrock are very carefuly in updating the bioses, I have friend who had an issue with
an Gigabyte board because it didn't suport
E5200, they came after a week with the bios,
i gave him my E2140, and on my Asrock board i can run with E5200! Very carefuly are Asrock with support. !

That also a sthrength point to Asrock Mb.

like other MB which don't do it .
