  • And we pay their wages

  • lol bitch got put back in the kitchen :)

  • Here's the super-socialist state that Democracy Now has been promoting for many years.

Oh, yea! It's a great idea to centralize a lot of power in the federal government!

Oh, no! All that super centralized power has been taken over by special interests and is now being used against us!

    Who could have predicted this?

Oh, just anybody who has studied history. (Not history as taught by TV or in public schools, but the real history mostly only available today in books.)

  • @ronpaul2008rocks Judging by your name I take it you imagine a very particular solution to this problem (libertarianism, i.e., the abolition of Government power in most spheres of life). Many people who are not convinced of the philosophical integrity of libertarianism, feel that the Government, as it exists today, should be represented directly by the public it is supposed to represent. Dissolving Government completely would, I think, be a mistake. It's a tool - here being misused.

  • @Mattprole I do not believe in the abolition of government.

The basic principle of the American Revolution and the US Constitution was the taking of power from the government and giving it to the people. 100 years of socialism have reversed this principle.

Here, you see it reversed. People cannot even protest before the ruling class.

  • democracy is a mockery of freedom...it is nothing more than the tyranny of the majority over individuals

  • amy goodman's bitch

  • Poor lass, I hope she was ok and not too shaken. I heard from her co workers interview they draged her by her legs and she hit her nose as she fell.

  • Fuck that shit, when's the revolution?

  • @Joshua001A I hear you. Many people, including me, have suffered enough.

  • @Joshua001A I hear you. Many people, including me, have suffered enough. Let's all keep in touch, stay vigilant and take action.

  • The face of evil. Does it not make you want to fight?

  • Fuck those cops. Bunch of fascist bastards.

  • I'll never understand why cops get off on beating women, indigent, drug addicted, handicapped people. These guys need to be shot as there is no more egregious crime than violating another persons God Given Rights.

  • @gigololounging Having worked with the police in several roles for years, there is no doubt in my mind that it is the power trip.

Danish press got a hold of danish polices radio communication from protests during the climate conference and they were talking a gang going towards another gang. I think its the same with all police.

  • The President said he wanted a "police State/Nation" well I guess he's got one! Hitler is his mentor!

  • Shocking

  • When the new american revolution comes, these pigs will face their fate and be hung by the american people.

  • That was way out of line....

It appeared as if that reporter was being hit too.

    Who would do that ?

Ignorant cops on payroll will do anything for a buck, even kill fellow Americans.

  • This is the way of the future get used to it. It's going to get a lot worse. What do you think the Fema camps and all the other mass detention camps all over the world are for? There is going to be food shortages and the corporate and global elite will be grabbing the land to produce food for themselves. It's been written in stone read the Georgia Guide Stones again.

  • god i hate pigs

    Democracy Now!

  • what people dont understand is that these reporters and people being arrested were not doing what the police asked them to do and thats why this happened...

also, while regular police are supposed to show curtosy:tell ppl they are under arrest etc... with riot police they do not because they are dealing with large amounts of people and they dont have the time to show all those curtosies

if you buck up to the riot police, unless you have a very good reason, you are a fool

  • @Jnest55 and just as a footnote, these reporters were obviously NOT complying

when the riot police told her to leave, she just stood there...when they told her to get on the ground, she refused...when they told her to roll onto her face, she didnt

just from this video you can tell she was trying to provoke the police and make a scene,a scene she could videotape and put on youtube

  • @Jnest55 it was in a parking lot she was standing in between cars and policemen, you can hear her say "where are we supposed to go." and you can hear her yell "press" because they're not supposed to do that to the press. and you can see the police are not listening.

  • @jillllllybean Did you watch the video of what happened BEFORE this?

  • @Jnest55 no

  • @jillllllybean watch it and then comment back...it shows the whole thing of why she actually got arrested

  • @Jnest55 where is it???

  • @jillllllybean I have to find it again ill post it as a video response

  • @Jnest55

So Jnesta55, you said six days ago you were going to post the video that would vindicate these officers. Might I ask, just where is it?

By the way, both Amy Goodman and Nicole Salazar have filed lawsuits in relation to their arrests at the RNC. So your statement about how they weren't allowed to be there will be fully tested in a court of law. And probably found to be bullshit, like everything else you've said here.

  • @DrArchivist kk idk how to upload it as video response but it is in the related videos section next to this

Amy Goodman's Arrest + Press Conference asked a...

If you will notcie she was politely asked to leave and then when she refused the officer grabbed her by the arm and tried to move her away. She then would not comply and actually tried to run into the restricted area.

  • @Jnest55

Amy Goodman? Gee for a minute there I thought this was a video of Nicole Salazar..oh wait a minute, it is!

For your information dude, in the video you speak of, Amy was desperately trying to get in to speak with a certain higher up in the police department because of...wait for it...THE EVENTS OF THIS VIDEO!

Yep. Amy had received a cell phone call that Nicole, one of her employees, was being roughed up and falsely arrested by the pigs. As you can see, she was right.

  • @Jnest55

And it's a gross exaggeration on your part to say that she tried to run into the restricted area. She didn't want to leave and was being firm with the officer, but Amy held her ground and repeatedly asked the officer if she could speak to a certain seargeant. The cop, being the Nazi authoritarian dipshit that he was, just arrested her on the spot.

Why? For asking to see a police official when one of your reporters is being assaulted by a bunch of jacked up Nazis like this?

  • @Jnest55

I have just this to say to you...FUCK THAT SHIT. Not in my America. You like police state tactics like that, then move to fucking China.

  • @DrArchivist Well if thats how you interpret this that is fine: you have that right to express your opinion because of our 1st ammendment right to free speech.

Just please dont start personnally attacking me because you do not know me nor have I personally attacked you- I respect your views please keep it civil...

  • @Jnest55

Oh, quit your fucking whining. You come here and try and defend gross police misconduct and even make up lies about how Amy Goodman (a completely different woman and different incident from the events pictured in this video) tried to run through police lines into a restricted area, which somehow in your little mind made the assault on Nicole justified). That's a pile of horseshit. If you can't make your case without lying and slandering then you're not entitled to civility.

  • @Jnest55

And on a final note, the reason why police do this kind of shit routinely is because there's a legion of brain dead cop humpers out there like yourself that will defend them NO MATTER WHAT. Well, I'm sick of assholes like you. I'm sick of the police treating us like we're dogshit. If you're going to step in the ring, be prepared to get hit. Now grow up and grow a pair and quit making excuses for the inexcusable behavior you see in this video.

  • @DrArchivist seriously dude what is your problem?

i mean i really dont care if you insult me- that just shows that you are intellectually dishonest because you have to resort to name calling and insults- but i take offence that you insult the people who keep your white pussy ass safe! You are going to insult the people who keep you from getting robbed on the way to work each day? the people who keep your wife from getting raped, your daughter kidnapped?

  • @DrArchivist you insult them and then at the same time you get upset if they dont keep you safe

    how pathetic

grow some balls, get a gun, and stop rellying on the police then

people like you dont deserve to live in this great country

  • @Jnest55

Where the fuck did I ever say I needed the pigs to keep me safe? Explain to me where I said that? I would love it if all cops tomorrow stopped doing their jobs. That's how fed up I am with them and their bullshit.

Now show me where I said I needed cops to keep me safe. That is now the second time you've lied to make your point, and you accuse me of being intellectually dishonest? LOL.

Fuck the fucking pigs. They do way more harm than good in society.

  • @DrArchivist tell me then do you live in a big city?

oh let me guess you live in some small ass rich ass town where theres no crime or anything like that

just stfu and get out of my country

  • @Jnest55

So that's what you've been reduced to, huh? Making aasinine statements about things you know nothing about? Not that it really matters, but I live in a city with a populaiton of about 200,000. And yes, this city does have crime, murde, rape, ghettos, and oh yes, police brutality.

I have lived in its poor neighborhoods before where search lights from police helicopters were a regular occurrence in my yard, and I can tell you that most of the trouble I experienced came from police.

  • @Jnest55

So take your pig lovin' bullshit someplace else. You got nothing. You got no defense for the cops on this video, your pathetic attempts to excuse their wrongdoing have been shot down. All you have left is to try and discredit me, who has already totally discredited you.

  • @Jnest55

I will give you one piece of advice, and I seriously suggest you listen to it. If you want the cops to be more respected, then stop always trying to excuse their bad behavior. You do yourself and them no favors when you have to come here and lie about Amy Goodman trying to run through police lines which, in addition to never happening, I still can't figure out how it relates to Nicole Salazar. All you prove when you do that is that police, and their defenders, are full of shit.

  • @Jnest55

So why don't you take your fascist, domestic terrorist pig lovin' ass and get the fuck out of MY country and leave it to people who truly believe in freedom and don't just use it as a catch phrase?

Now fuck off and have a nice fucking day.

  • @DrArchivist have a nice day

make sure to use those 1st ammendment rights more often =)

  • @Jnest55

Don't worry, I will use them often and firmly. Tell your pig friends to try and respect the fact the people like me and Nicole here have first amendment rights for a change, and maybe they'll get more respect in the future.

  • @DrArchivist well i dont personally have ne pig friends but next time i see ne pigs(oink oink) ill tell them you said hi

  • @Jnest55 That's Amy Goodman asking to see Nicole Salazar AFTER the events of the video. It's not Nicole Salazar not complying. Learn to pay attention. Also, she had a reason to go in the restricted area or whatever. You don't just do stuff the cops tell you to do without question. Good luck jumping off the cliff when the cops tell you to. Because, in fact, there are cops in the world who don't know what they're doing.

  • These police were intentionally acting against the bill of rights. They deserve NO respect, and the reporters were 100% in the right for ignoring the orders of the police and forcing the issue. The police should be punished heavily for attacking reporters regardless of what they told them to do. The police were not within their rights to act as private enforcers for the Republicans. As servants of the public and constitution they should have been protecting the reporters right to be there.

  • @Taijiguy108 again have you watched the video of before this why the police arrested her?

In riot situations the police have the right to block off certain areas and maintain order.

NO civil rights were violated, she had the right to be anywhere else but there and video tape, ask questions, protest,or do anything else she felt like that is not against the law. Instead she chose to disobey the police and go where she was not supposed to and she got arrested.

  • @Jnest55 She wasn't simply arrested, she was thrown on the ground and had her face dragged on the street. The camera man was kicked in the chest, thrown on the ground and dragged as well. The police don't have any right to do that, especially if the people they are doing it to are peaceful reporters, you can call it a riot situation or whatever you want, it doesn't justify anything.

  • @Jnest55

You are completely full of shit. I have also seen the video of events leading up to this incident. It's called "Terrorizing Dissent" and it's in part 1. It shows all the events leading up to this quite nicely. A bunch of kids were dancing peacefully in protest, and then the Nazi ass police tried to run them down with horses. The police chased them though the city with tear gas, pepper spray, and flash bang grenades, finally culminating in this nice little bit you see here.

  • @Jnest55 It's called civil disobedience, you should look it up. When confronted with a situation in which your rights as an American citizen are blatantly taken away by authority figures, civil disobedience entirely justified. The police are required to obey the constitution like everyone else, and in the the constitution does it give the police the right to piss all over the constitution just because they are armored and bad ass.

  • Is this the country self proclaimed Freedom defender?

That country is only Bullshit to the WORLD.

    Ha Ha Ha.

  • It is times like this that some police would deserve to be shot in self defense. Cowards!

  • Don't go so far.. don't shoot.

Police are like adults looking after children:

The child just fails to aknowledge the fact that it should behave when it's told to.

  • if thats the case then can i ask, who's looking after the police?

  • Um other police. And really other people are looking after the police in different ways: firemen are trying to stop their houses burning down, soldiers make sure they don't get invaded, farmers and bakers and chef's make sure their fed, lawyers protect their rights, lorry drivers cart all the goods they'll need.

I mean really police are just doing their bit. It's annoying to have to deal with them, but things would be so much more fucked up without the police.

  • 8DX,

Unless you're blind, you should be able to see that it was only the Police that was violent, the street was calm and only black-uniformed Policemen were the ones chaotically running and yelling at people who had committed no crime. Nicole Salazar was pushed to the ground with her face down and dragged while her face was on the concrete, it was the Policemen that broke the law by arresting reporters who were clearly identifiable and had their journalist ID & security badges for the event.

  • I'd gladly "assault" a police officer if they tried that shit on me.

I'd claim self defence. Which would be accurate

  • No I'm sorry it wouldn't

The police in different countries (in mine too and I think yours is the same) have precisely defined jurisdiction and field of behaviour. If you are driving a car they can stop you and check to see if you're drunk. But if you're ok, they gotta let you go.

If there is a large crowd gathering, the policeman has the responsibility to ensure a pieceful resolution. If you don't listen to him, don't do what he says, he can arrest you for civil disobedience (although moral)

  • If what he says doesn't coincide with the rights you have, he can't charge you for anything.

If I was in the press, and I had a right to be there, then the offircer is violating my rights.

  • What you say is true, but do you really think what you see on this video is simply an arrest for civil disobedience? This is an assault, and an unprovoked one at that.

  • Maybe, but even if you have a right to be there and the police in charge decide it is a hazard to have people at a certain place, you must listen to the policeman who tells you to move away.

At least in our country it works that way. This situation looks mainly like a confused situation.

I can't tell more from the video.

Police can arrest a suspect and if they are innocent they will be set free.

Assault? Hardly.. I would bet my socks the policeman used only prescribed measures. These do hurt.

  • Prescribed measures?

First of all, this woman is an accredited journalist who was wearing her press badges around her neck while this happened. Since when is it "prescribed measures" to silence the freedom of the press with violent force? She even screams twice while she's on the ground, "PRESS! PRESS!" There's no reason to attack her, let alone arrest her, unless the police are afraid of the media reporting on what they're doing.

  • And another thing, when the cop was shouting at her, "GET OUT OF HERE!" she asked him, "Where are we supposed to go?" Not only did he not give her a response, he didn't even give her a chance to go. He just knocked her down and dragged her off on the concrete. You going to tell me that that's not assault? In what universe?

  • Well if your interpretation of what actually happened is the correct one, then I fully agree with you. Except perhaps the actual measures he used. Pushing someone to the ground and handcuffing them is never going to be pleasant. It's not "assault" if the policeman does it "by the book" (without extra blows etc.)

  • We had a crazy green politician at an unofficial demonstration a few years back.. almost exactly the same the police told them to move - they didn't, the policeman arrested her, she didn't want to get in the car so he had to push her in with force.

She of course made a "police brutality" case of it, but the court rightly turned it down.

But then perhaps this case is different and there really was an intent to "stifle the press".

  • You are not supposed to just push someone to the ground when they are under arrest. You are supposed to tell them they are under arrest and give them an order to comply, whether it's get on the ground or place your hands on your head or whatnot. Then, and only then, are they allowed to use force if the suspect resists. NONE of that procedure was followed here.

  • Comment removed

  • Eerily similar to what's going on in Iran now...

  • The police have been so dumbed they are no more than dogs with guns. AMERICA, YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW!!! Continue watching CNN, FOX, ABC, NBC and vote Republican or Democrat next election!!!!

  • we should carry around light savers nowadays....or 360 degree lasers around our waists....the police might think twice

  • DR. RON PAUL 2012 THE REVOLUTION

  • rofl, that from the country who is bringing democacy to irak. police usinging military training, tactics, teckniques, equipment, behavior, organization, dress, and mindset is not that of a police service for the public, its a state police force to beat the public to submission. r.i.p. america.

  • This is America in 2009? Looks like 1940's Germany.

  • is that so called free america or something like that. heh funny. And Obama is worried about anyiamericanism in europe. well Obama I wonder why that is happening. America doesnt have democracy, it has corporatism.

  • Fucking NAZIS!!!!!!!!

  • No justice! No peace! Fuck the police!

  • Same thing happened at the Democratic National Convention -- both parties advocate rampant warmongering tactics and capitalism, creating death and horrible social hierarchy.

  • seriously .. of all the ppl there they gotta go after the woman.. tuff with their clubs rite

  • Jackboots in America. There is just no good way to spin this.

  • Great video. It could be a movie scene.

  • if you haven't figure it out yet , "america" is fucking crazy, because it's owners are devils that wanna control the world, is that simple and we live among zombies, devils and angels too, but "the man" has traind us to ignore our saiviors, or "lifeguards" so maybe all the people from the midle east wanna save us but "The man" doesn't wan't that and tells us to kill them ,EVEN THE DEVIL IS FAIR! you fall in the trap, lie, set up,temtention, he didn't make you do shit , so hell is a mirror room.

  • THAT WAS MY APARTMENT BUILDING!! I Saw it all happen, they chased down those reporters and peace marching kids and tied them up and processed them right in the middle of the street. I WAS THERE.

ALL ARRESTED...for what??? running from some Mace carrying, Baton weilding police officer hired by the City to protect John McCain.

    Crazy.

  • hey u were here? I would love to ask you some questions. Like for one what happened?

  • If you really want to know what happened, just watch the movie "terrorizing Dissent." It has the sequence of events leading to this incident all laid out very nicely in part 1. The movie is here on youtube and you can watch it for free.

  • So what is happening with the lawsuit against the SPPD? Saint Paul taxpayers should have a hefty bill to pay thanks to the actions of SP's "finest".

  • wtf is going on at USA?

  • wtf is going on at USA?

  • USA: Going steady down the drain!

  • Do unto others...You have yours coming you fascist pig!

  • fuck police brutality.

  • Fuck Police..... piece of shit pussy little fascist fuck tards......

  • If this is what American has turned into post 9-11, Al Queda has already won.

  • There is no Al Quaeda. Keep believing your cable news and you will be blind. Look for independent news sources like the American Free Press. You will be be enlightened weeks before the half-truths falsify you!!!!

  • Those guys in black are american heroes fighting for freedom...

    God save America...from american heroes

  • Brownshirts

  • This is when the Elephants voted McMILF for the primary? and US has a major population that wants to vote these guys?!Than expect more of that next term, If the cops continue to go at people like this they're gonna be carrying something other than protest signs, I won't be surprised if US turned to postwar Iraq, If US politics is that free, why do people need public protection, especially like that

  • None of these protestors are armed. Can't they be sued for beating up people exercising their first amendment rights? This really does look like a police state.

  • Thanks to the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act being so vaguely worded in areas (some say intentionally) one person's First Amendment rights are Bush's legal grounds for declaring someone a terrorist: by disagreeing with status quo you're inciting a riot. If that's not enough, the president can now just point at someone, with no evidence, no action having occured, and legally declare them a terrorist with no rights to lawyer, charges, trial by jury, etc.

    I recommend seeing: /watch?v=i0LvtQAQ6sc

  • The US constitution was suspended in 1992 thanks to the UN, which proclaimed theirs would prevail over all others.

  • jesus christ.

  • Pigs.

  • Lak'ech! This has been going on forever, I am sorry that the rest of you are finnally finding out about it. We have to join together to stop the government brutality. The police are our fathers and brothers, family members should talk to them about brutality. We need to talk to the mayors we elect. We are the ones paying for our police force with our taxes. We need to stop working against ourselves. A national strike might work if we can unite. United we stand divided we fall. Good luck america!

  • robocops...wonder if there is any human emotion left in these men? AND did anyone notice that there isn't any female officers beating on the people. It's all men on steroids. Hopefully one day those robocops will be beating on their own masters!

  • Fucking bastards!

Fuck them, they are traitors propping up the fascist state.

Wake up you fucking sold out assholes!

  • Relax, there just cops doing what cops do. they're dogs of the state.

It is the machine that you should direct your energy towards. The machine that wields their puppet strings...

  • very true!

  • they dont care about paying some lawsuits, its worth every penny of the tax dollors that they will spend to cover up the truth

  • Terrifying. These journalists are doing brave work on FREEDOM's behalf - my heart is with them.

  • nazis

  • Times like these I wished I believed in hell, so that I would know that fascist thug cop would get what he deserves.

Actually I do believe in hell. Hell is a world with nothing but Republicans in it.

  • Republicans had nothing to do with this. St. Paul MN is a very liberal Democrat city. This is about the "us vs. them" opinion that too many police departments operate under. This is why the Founding Fathers believed in an armed public, so they could fight tyranny. The police should have a bit more fear of the public.

  • You need to realize that both republicans and democrats are members of, and controlled by the same world government society, the CFR. Their one sided/two faced elections are a distraction from our freedom.

  • I see your point, but I was responding to a specific point about this being a Republican problem.

  • Oh, you mean that this might be associated with the Republicans who just handed nearly a trillion tax payer dollars to wealthy elites, with some getting a billion in pocket money? The Republicans who say "we don't torture", write signing statements making the government immune from rule of law, who violate Habeus Corpus and legal rights of others, who illegally spied on citizens? I don't know, I think they like this incident as adding to their mistique. They like ruling with fear and inequality.

  • This might be associated with Republicans, but, it's doubtful. St. Paul MN is, in fact, a bastion of liberal ideology. Police unions overwhelmingly support Democrats! So no, I don't believe this incident had any direct Republican involvement. As for "handing" tax money to the wealthy? You seem to be forgetting that it is THEIR money! They took the risk, they made the investments, they employ the workforce, they EARNED IT! And Habeus Corpus has NEVER been granted to enemy combatants!

  • Fascist state.

  • war is peace

    freedom is slavery

  • Video testimony to the Nazi police state in which we live and breath.

  • so remember that when you are spewing your millionaire elitism of how you will "Own us" when the class wars start.

who do you think your army or police are?

who exactly do you think is going to defend you?... Welcome back to reality, money means nothing without the average Joe.

  • this is like a big brother monitored breeding ground for anarchists and civil terrorism... if you want change contact your local congressman, pass around a petition don't start a riot. if the people speak and the majority of the nation (51%) demand a change and the government turns out to be corrupt and denies the change, then and only then is it acceptable and is the reason you were granted the right to bare arms although You probably won't need them those 150 million Americans ARE the army...

  • utterly atrocious

what was it that was sothreatening about a young unarmed woman? was it her camera?

they told her to leave but then clobber her?

    horrendous

  • Democracy Now! is one of my favorite public tv shows. Brings me far better reporting on political events of the day than ANY of the major TV networks. Keep up the good work Democracy Now!

  • Thank you for you work in bringing us Democracy Now and giving us the truth.

Most Americans seem to be buying into Corporate owned news media that blinds us from many things diverting attention from real problems. To dumb to see the truth, and to lazy and stand up for justice. We that do stand up get knocked down.

  • i usually don't get surprised or shocked, i'm a bit extreme in my tastes from music to movies to life in general, but i have to say this really shocked me.

they acted like dogs on that poor woman, this is a pretty ugly thing to see...

  • When the class war starts we'll fuck you.

  • You're too busy fucking yourself with that big dildo.

  • We'll see who gets fucked when the shit hits.

  • In the 60's they would have just shot her, or if they were in a nice mood, beat her with a billy club, sprayed her with a firehose, tear gassed her, or put the dogs on her. So I guess that is progress right?

Point being, the cops have been beating up democrats for the GOP for decades upon decades. In this case, the GOP gave them 10 million dollars to help cover any lawsuits from the beatings. All thats happened is that the money is now paid upfront.

  • wow fuckheads. who is chris?

  • Shocking.

  • This is like nazi germany? This is what the Grand White Party stands for!

  • lol silicondoc you're an idiot. There were no molitov coctails. Stop exaggerating. These cameramen and the reporters didn't do anything wrong. They were just showing free press. By the way, silicon, apparently you've never read the Declaration of Independence. IT says if our government is reduced to despotism, that we have the right to take over and instill a new government.

  • Hopefully one with an extreme leftist slant and some kind of tools in red and yellow on the flag, right? You fucking socialist idiots make me sick with your liberal bullshit. Silicondoc hit the nail right on the head.

  • bucksatan1, you'd be more content in the ruling class of an oppressive regime in a third world country, free to beat and intimidate at will - paramilitary or gov't thug.

If this video doesn't make clear the perils of our country's direction - loss of civil liberties (INCLUDING FREE SPEECH, REMEMBER THAT?) you must be going blind and losing your hearts.

Maybe they'll soon dispense with the facade and just begin shooting anyone who disagrees with them - under PALIN it seems likely.

  • Somehow I dont think you live in the real world. You see, out there in towelhead world, there are people who want to kill americans for supporting israel and occupying their country. This is what happens. We live artificially high as a result of taking from the poor. If you want to live in third world communist squalor, buy a che shirt and go join the fight against the "opressors".

Id rather have a facist government than a lying shitty communist one any day.

  • One thing...a fascist government does lie and is still shitty

  • We are socialist idiots but your Grand White party proves they are worse? Please. You people will fall for anythinhg...like the "gimmick" from Alaska that was mayor of a town the size of Rev. Wright's church!

  • And who decides that the government is despotic? The people that don't agree with them? And who gets to be the new dictator after you forcibly remove and execute the previous authority that the PEOPLE voted into office?

  • No one was "rushing" the parking lot full of police. The police closed in on people who were there like scissors, they were blocked in with nowhere to go.

  • Do you expect anything less from a police state????

Vote McCain/McBush and you will see this kinda shit like commercials during the super bowl!

  • The guys in this vid. shown hitting and kicking these woman are sick little fucks. they use their jobs as an excuse to take out there anger ,probably from past failed relationships with other women, out on these women. it looks real fukin pathetic.

  • Where is this video do you see anyone get kicked? Its not in there. I checked

  • I was talking about in general. its pretty common in situations such as this. it wasn't in this particular video capture but it did happen that day.

  • ...and none of us are old enough to remember the atrocity at Kent State.....well, silicondoc, at least one of us wasn't.

  • Can someone post the unedited video of this please? I'd like to see what led up to the cops rushing the crowd like that.

  • If you go look at the AP coverage, they show what happened before they closed in on the parking lot. Basically nothing. People were walking, walking away from the police, then they closed in in two waves on the parking lot... where people were trapped.

  • What the hell is wrong with people?

  • The First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America states:

"Congress shall make no law...abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

As representatives of the law, police are bound to uphold the constitution above all else. Some people at a protest wasn't the only thing that was trampled in St. Paul.

  • "the right of the people PEACEABLY to assemble"

"Police don't randomly charge at people with cameras for no good reason"

What was the reason here? Tell us.

I quoted the U.S. constitution. In America we have the right peaceably to assemble. Yeah...blah blah blah...you capitalized PEACEABLY for emphasis when you returned comment. And? What about the protest was not peaceable? What? We're waiting for your brilliant reply.

    Fucking moron!

  • Check my vids! We need to get down and dirty with these thugs.. I am the General.. I am the truth.. I am the light!

  • This is what happens when Americans spend more time buying crap instead of paying attention to laws being passed. its disgusting police used to be peace officers now there just trained monkeys, trained to attack citizens to silence our voices make no mistake about that!!!!

  • wow.... unbelievable. so much for home of the free

  • I am adamantly against the brutal treatment against Amy Goodman and staff but equally opposed to her false pretenses at reporting truth while covertly aligning herself with the establishment via media/government aligned censorship -ironically that same establishment that would whip its tale indiscriminately and strike her down : VIEW MY SITE: AARONJAMESSTORY(DAUGHT)COM- 12 attempts on my life Minneapolis Police /U.S.A corruption exposed- WE WARNED PEOPLE IN ADVANCE -SHE CENSORED OUR ACCOUNT...

  • Ummm... yeah, not so much idjut. More like:

Dumb left wing skank + $1,000,000.

Police - (minus) $1,000,000 + court costs and lawyers fees not to mention their careers.

  • Wait till they beat up a woman in your town tiny we'll see how pro cop you are then.
