  • LooK aT daT speed...damnnnn, dat guy fasT!!! RANDY MOSS #1

  • Randy Moss was a real 4.2 man!!! Now i quess he at a 4.34, cant wait to see the MossMan....84 ForLiFe

  • There's not a chance in HELL Calvin Johnson or Larry Fitzgerald could get to the end zone on this play.

  • Damn !

  • I agree with Cris Carters view of Moss when comparing him to Rice. I'm paraphrasing here, but CC believes Moss is the greatest athlete he's ever seen. From a physical tools perspective, no one better. However, he also stated that Moss was mentally weak. When things got bad, Moss let it affect him. So despite all his physical gifts, CC still considers Rice the greatest receiver ever. And I agree with that. But man, having Moss here sure was fun. P.S. Was at this game, hell of a trip!!

  • Moss was taller and had longer arms. Add in his athletic ability and that is why he was called the super freak.he was also called Superman. Take Jerry and moss in there prime. Put then one on one and throw balls to then. Moss will catch more easily

  • Jerry had better quarterbacks then moss clearly. Any analyst will tell u that and they will also tell u who is better athletically. Moss clearly would have caused a bigger headache to defenses if he played for the niners back then in place of jerry

  • Umm moss ran a faster 40 umm that makes him faster and I shouldn't have to tell u he is quicker. Send me a video of rice more athletic then moss... I'm waiting

  • Moss is the most skilled receiver to ever play football

  • @qukarlz Amen.

  • God damn - look at Moss's top speed on this play

  • yep! moss in his prime was unstoppable. height, speed, hands, leaping ability. he was the most naturally gifted WR ever! only if he had rice's work ethic...

  • How did this team NOT get to the Superbowl? They were better than the '98 Denver Broncos for God's sake. Cunningham, Coach Green, Moss and Carter were all cursed to never win a Superbowl. It just wasn't meant to be.

  • Troy Aikman was like "damm you Jerry!!!!"

  • @jpowers55 hahahhahahaha

  • It doesn't matter because moss is more athletic then Jerry ever!!! Faster. Taller. Can jump higher. Prime moss is a receiver you will never see again!!!!

  • @DarkBrownDirector ,not faster, not quicker

  • "and Randy Moss just outruns everybody into the endzone" summerall says it like its just an everyday thing haha. Randy Moss and Jerry Rice the two best to ever do it. maybe throw Marvin Harrison in there also.

  • Two things I like about this video, besides Moss. #1, no description available, because adjectives don't do it justice. & 2nd, no dislikes, because how can you dislike it? Moss was the man back then!!

  • that speed is incredible..!

  • The look on Aikman's face is fucking priceless. "God dammit. Why is he not a Cowboy"

  • what makes it worse is that woodson had a good angle ....and billups had a perfect angle and he just ran by both of them...cmon.....i mean if jerry rice makes that catch its two yard gain....but that wasnt jerry rice

  • Thanks for the upload. I haven't seen this footage since the actual day of the game.

  • That was Billups, not Woodson. Excuse me.

  • Randy's speed was unbelievable. Stoutmire & Woodson both had the perfect angle on him & and he still blew by 'em. Crazy.

  • @theleonbillion Rice wasnot as talented and was more coverable than moss...I dont like the Rice would never give up saying cuz I dont care what anyone says losing is contagious and Rice walked into an amazing situation.Ive seen TO.Marvin Harrison.Reggie Wayne..and many more take plays off.the only time Moss really quit was the 2nd year on Oakland.TO quit on Buffalo.Hell Barry Sanders retired in his prime cuz he couldnt take losing anymore.I think Rice woulda been similar going to those teams too

  • I love how #56 just starts jogging at the 35 yard line, realizing he has no chance

  • HOW CAN PEOPLE SAY HE WAS GOING HALF ASS. WHAT HE DID DOESN'T JUST SHOW UP IN ONE DAY AND IF HE DID TAKE OFF PLAYS I UNDERSTAND BECAUSE THEY SHOULD JUST BE THROWING TO HIM.

  • maddens commentary is almost as good as the catch and run itself

  • @robroy317

Don't you miss Madden & Summerall?

  • HOLY CRAP

  • Aikman has to be pissed that the Cowboys passed on Moss. He easily could have extended their dynasty a few more years.

  • @gautamsingh 19 other teams passed on Moss as well. Don't understand why everyone assumes Dallas was the only one.

  • @bull864 You're right, but no other team had Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin, three championships and one last, legitimate shot at a Super Bowl.

  • @gautamsingh Remember, Dallas had some massive PR issues with guys like Leon Lett, Irvin, Erik Williams, and others. They, like many other teams, were scared that Moss might become a Pacman Jones type and never fulfill his potential. Moss wasn't exactly a model citizen during all this. Hell, the dude ran a 4.3/40, was 6'4 with a 40 inch vertical and excellent hands and ball skills. With decent character, he wouldn't have gotten out of the top 3. Hindsight is always 20/20.

  • @bull864 people blame dallas extra because they passed on him twice even though they clearly needed a receiver and he was the top rated receiver.

  • Is this the greatest performance ever by a WR? He had just three catches, and all three were long TDs

  • Randy Moss is the most naturally gifted WR to play the game hands down!!!!!

  • Jerry Rice worked harder, but Randy Moss had more God-given talent. After Cris Carter retired, Randy Moss didn't have the big brother on the team to look after him.

  • Jerry Rice worked harder, but Randy Moss had more God-given talent.

  • Jerry Rice is the greatest WR ever no doubt Randy Moss slacked off too much. didnt go all out every down.

  • Rice is the greatest WR ever, Randy is the best deep threat ever

  • after that second move on the safety, I thing he shifted into BOLT speed, around 27 MPH. AT just turned 34, Moss's first gear is worn, his second gear is good enough and gears 3-5 blow by anyone in the league, and oh yeah, one the highest verticals on the planest. go ahead google it.

last but not least, best one handed receiver ever, spinning, back shoulger, anything.

whoever get Moss this year will have their minds blown

he scored 5 TD's last year and barely got to even step on the field!

  • Look at him turn it on... 0:41

  • what jerry rice did better than anyone was work. no one has ever exhibited this level of talent at the WR position for as long and consistently as randy has.

  • deion sanders wouldve had his hands full with the 98 randy moss. deion may have been fast but moss was just as fast as him (4.25 40 yd dash), has a huge vertical, AWSOME ball awareness and coordination, cris carter like boundry awareness (no suprise his mentor), and another mentor like gift GREAT HANDS. Moss is BEAST thats all there is to it. SUPER FREAK deserves a fucking SB ring and HOF!

  • @SportyMule It sucks that Randy was on 2 of the best teams that didn't win the SuperBowl, the 98 Vikes and the 07 Pats. I hope he get in the HOF, but the idiots who vote will probably find some reason to keep him out. If Cris Carter can't get in, Randy might have a hard time getting in, but I hope he does get in.

  • I've never seen anyone like moss in my life. His combo of size, ball skills, and 4.3 speed is unmatched. What a joy to watch, even if he is a prick.

  • @bull864 Randy Moss actually had 4.2 speed in his prime

  • @bgarcia092 4.25 to be exact.

  • @bull864 That was as a freshman in college...he was definitely faster by his rookie year...id say 4.2

  • @soma27 LOL 4.2? 4.25? Whatever, the dude could fly.

  • @bull864 I dont mean this as an insult its a real question...do you play football? As like a skill position thoug..if you do you should realize the huge difference between the 2...every .05 is pretty big

  • Comment removed

  • 3 rec 163 yards 3 tds for randy moss in this game

  • @chinesemonkeyman If that happened today, I wonder how many Fantasy Points that would be worth lol

  • I wish he'd have handled the fame a little better and not let stuff get to him. Being a "bad boy" is supposed to end when you leave college and grow up--not get worse as you accelerate through the pros. Good point about the QBs that Rice had throwing to him. Moss played consistently well with Cunningham, it was hit-n-miss with the other QBs after him. I rather not have picked him up from N.E. in 2010 than to have to let him drain a 3R draft pick from us when he was cut.

  • im a cowboys fan, but watching what he did to us on thanksgiving was special. randy moss is amazing. he is a slam dunk hall of famer. its been a treat watching him. im going to miss him when he retires.

  • So close damn to get randy moss for the whole season. But stupid asshole childress release him. This is why vikings sucks coaches .If we have randy moss back to minnesota better chance to go into the playoff. Or win a superbowl

  • u c how fast this kid randy lookin on this video rite now...damn!!!!!

  • I miss pat summerall

  • that is crazy i don't know if there could be another player to simply run past the defense on that angle. Chris Johnson maybe...

  • Aikman was thinking, "Damn! That could of been my new toy. Stupid management." Not that Greg Ellis wasn't a good player and all but Randy Moss was & is a Great player.

  • Pat Sumeral was so awed by the speed he stuttered.

  • This was one of my favorite NFL games to watch.

  • Mr Sanders didnt want no part of Randy Moss

  • @DollaDee08 Do be serious. Sanders had to play a certain J Rice week in , week out during his time with the Falcons. He isnt scared of any receiver. Primetime in at his best had a step on everyone, even Randy Moss. Moss aint beating Sanders deep, no chance.

  • @pharry4life Do be serious.... Rice was never as scary as moss in his prime...in fact noone was. In his prime moss coulda beat anyone deep, whether it was speed, or if they played 20 yards off him like they commonly did, and double covered him he out jumped them. Sanders is not the best corner to ever play the game anyway, def top3 or 5. I mean moss is 33 and cromartie whos one of the fastest corners in the league cant keep up with him without pulling his jersey literally every play

  • @soma27 rice had great quarterbacks. moss was damn great

  • @soma27 They were diffrent WR's JR. was mostly short stuff that he turned into big gains, while Randy moss was more a deep threat.

  • @lmswentzeljr True to some extent. Plays like this prove he was just as much as a threat if not more to take it to the house than Rice. Like when he took a bubble screen 70somethin yards to the house with the whole d standing right in front of him against the Saints in the playoffs(I think 2000) and their safety Chandley said after the game "thats what a 4.18 looks like in game speed". It just shows there was NOTHING Moss couldnt do, which makes him the best ever. IMO of course

  • @soma27

If you think for a second that Deion is not the greatest corner ever you are definitely going to be in violation of that upcoming urinalysis at work. But you are absolutely correct about Moss. Well said!

  • @drbayoms Im my opinion the greatest corner involves someone who is also great at stopping the run...He is def top 5 but that man is like Asante..got a lot of picks cuz of purposely playing out of position trying to bait qbs but also got burnt alot cuz of it...I say if nnamdi holds up the way he has he will be in that conversation but its also hard to compare eras...ie "nighttrain". But yeah Deion was beyond worthless in run stopping

  • @soma27 no he wasn't... Whoever says he was beyond worthless in run stopping didn't watch him. He wasn't a hitstick player but he was no where near Antonio Cromartie either. And he was probably the best shutdown corner of all time.

  • @soma27 ,Rice was the scariest, Moss was just a deep ball threat, you cant defend Rice, because as a def coordinator you want the offense to throw short passes, but the problem is, Rice would take those passes for a 8o yard touchdown, whereas Moss he needs the deep ball,so if you can get physical with him, you can bother him. Even Cris Carter said that Moss would quit whent hey used to put two defenders on him and that Randy wouldnt go over the middle. Sanders is the best.

  • @soma27 ,Jerry Rice destroyed more defenses than any WR,thats why he has 3 super bowl rings, Rice was a headache for defenses in the regular season and the playoffs and the superbowl, Moss was just a headache for defenses int he regular season, but no WR gave defenses more problems than Rice, and this was at a time when you could mug, hold the WR and get away it

  • @Tunes342 Rice has more rings cuz he walked onto a team with a qb and team who just won their 2nd..moss walked onto a team that was always a disaster...thats the only reason cuz no receiver can do it themself...If you actually look into it moss and rice and very similar post season numbers..rice just had more opportunities...Moss has over 900 catches...yeah that is not just a deep threat...try actually watching him..he just had speed and vertical way beyond rice..so yes he was tougher to defend

  • @Tunes342 And its stupid when ppl use the you could mug ppl back in Rices' day crap...they just recently started making the rules highly in the favor of o's and wrs..in Moss' prime..98-04 ..you could get away with a lot....Moss doesnt just need the deep ball...Moss doesnt go over the middle? Ok you havent watched him play then.you dont have seasons of 106..111..98 catches just going deep and outside..moss also took screens and slants 80 yards

  • @pharry4life

u gotta b playin man!!! ay u see Randy Moss speed?? thIs kId would beat Sanders deep, real deep...Sanders neva seen no WR like Moss...they caLL him The SuperFreak

  • @pharry4life in ten career match ups against jerry rice deion had 4 picks. impressive yes, but jerry rice averaged 6 catches, 105 yards, and 1.1 touchdowns per game against deion, including a 5 touchdown game against him in 1990. jerry rice's 40 time was much slower than moss's, if jerry can put 5 tds on deion in one game moss can burn him deep. jerry may be the bes receiver of all time, but moss is the best deep threat in the history of the game

  • @xxxtumxxx I wish I could hit the "like" button about 25 times for your comment.

  • @xxxtumxxx I think DeSean Jackson has something to say about that. Eagles vs. Redskins, Eagles vs. Giants, Eagles vs. Saints, Eagles vs. Chiefs, Eagles vs. Cowboys, Eagles vs. Lions, etc, check out those videos.

  • @bangitslo desean is one of the best wr's in the nfl hands down, but he's gotta keep that up for about a decade to compare to randy. i love desean don't get me wrong, but randy moss has over 150 career touchdowns, almost 1000 catches, and 14000 yards

  • @xxxtumxxx Moss is my all-time favorite receiver, especially when he an Cunningham hooked up, Just don't understand, truly can't understand his attitude.

  • @bangitslo in his prime moss was a touchdown machine, he could score at will. he's probably never met another person who has more athleticism than him, i would guess that his attitude developed from his freak athleticism.

  • @xxxtumxxx Randy has never thrown the ball behind him at the 1 yard line.

  • @TouringFunkBand1 2003 regular season game, vikings vs broncos, look up the replays if you really think randy moss has never pitched the ball and let someone else score.

  • @xxxtumxxx Too lazy too look but what is this reply in reference to?

  • @TouringFunkBand1 i didn't understand your first reference. i assumed you were referencing someone selflessly pitching the football and letting a teammate score. in the game i referenced randy caught a deep bomb that was underthrown, and while being tackled he pitched the ball over his shoulder to the running back for an easy touchdown. what were you referencing?

  • @pharry4life jerry rice never had the athletic abilities moss had (and still has) even in his prime! mr cocky deion sanders would have shit his pants if he had to deal with the super freak!

  • my fucking god. look this speed. amazing!

  • @parkourniceman RANDY IS F**Kin FAST...DAMN!!!!

  • cowboys should have drafted him

  • moss was a da best rookie, good ol days,

  • Thats when Randy was lighting it up as a rookie, good memories

  • where was deion sanders lol

  • @oneluv24 At the last minute, Sanders had "an ankle injury" and couldfn't play. Yeah right. He played the game before and the game after. He just didn't want to get torn up like the rest of the league that year.

  • @travismo could you blame him lol

  • @oneluv24 prolly sitting on his arrogant ass watching this game trembeling thinking how this rookie would dump on him if he had to 1v1 him

  • do u have the rest of this game?

  • @footbull3196 It's one of many Moss highlights on the NFL Video "The 1998 Minnesota Vikings." Maybe it's on eBay? Full game? Yeah, that'd be priceless. The Vikes had 2 KR for TDs called back in that game. The NFL sent the Vikings apology letters the following week for those 2 calls. Otherwise, the Vikings put 60 points on the Cowboys that day...in their own house!
