That's quite an experience, We call them Torsalo in Honduras, The Aborigines extract it with some herb mixture they attach to the affected area, and in 4 to 6 hours it comes out voluntarily, I do not remember what they used, but it affects monkeys, cows, dogs, cats.. etc. It is my understanding they prefer something they call Criolina, but it more practical to use herbs to them.

At the time when we got the botfly, there was only one other botfly video on the internet (which is actually how we figured out what the weird pain was). I wish there would have been the 100 botfly videos that exist today! Either way, we were just happy to have it removed.

If the doctor was educated in parasiteshe would have known that after a month they come out with much less pain because the little bristle like things detach because it is fully grown or after ab 3 wks you could smother them with tape or petroleum jelly and they will detach and surface making it easy to pull out. I am no doctor, hell I m 14 but people need to learn stuff like that I learned what a botfly was an hour ago now I now almost everything about them. Pple need to look into these things.

@otrixx Yeah, the whole procedure was interesting. At the time when we got the botfly, there was only one other botfly video on the internet (which is actually how we figured out what the weird pain was). I wish there would have been the 100 botfly videos that exist today! Either way, we were just happy to have it removed.
