i'm upgrading a computer i'm not using to run WHS for christmas. i don't have the budget for HP's one, and i don't want it to run headlessly (i'd rather it have a actual monitor so i don't have to log on to it to make sure everything's going well with it). At least, that's my current plan. plans could change.
oh yeah, the computer to be put up to the test is a HP pavilion Slimline S7600n that i'll upgrade to 2GB RAM and give a 2TB external drive to.
wait you can host a website with this? hmmm... then how would you set that up? would you need to know html and stuff like that? i know that is a lot to explain so you dont really have to reply.
Nice vids man, I was curious if you have these videos on a website that I could download that are much clearer. I'd like to see all the details of the install, my vision is blurry a bit sometimes.
Eh, my X360 has been redringing since late summer vacation. (HOW HAVE I NOT FOUND TIME TO SENT IT IN YET?!?!)
Also, i'd rather have my data dumping trusted to a actual computer and not a console. (besides, i have been known to use more than 100GB+ of space. my X360 only has 20gb ((i think)) available to it.)
very good video - not sure about the website though - why don't you reduce the amount of videos on one page - my browser froze trying to load them all.
Can you use this as a DNS Server?

Would you reccomend the MediaSmart? i'm considering setting up a home network...
poopskinTheLiar 3 years ago
either the mediasmart or an Xbox 360. The 360 is a bit noisier but can do more

You can use the WinTV software with XP but the best way is to use Windows Media Center with Vista
Iandixon 3 years ago
Do you have to have vista to run it?
