In my opinion the song you are trying to learn in this video is very easy. Try making a video about learning songs that are not punkrock or punk ska(Whatever) songs!! Most PunkRock songs are not that hard to learn.. As long as you know your powerchords and know your chord progressions..

yeah man, that what i do too when i try to figure out a song by ear i start to find the notes on the neck and know the basic idea and then I play chords (y)

You make it look so easy in all my attempts I have only got 1 song right (what's my again blink 182). The rest I think I have right then I check the tabs and find out they are wrong.

@SParenotEMO Don't worry if what you've figured out doesn't match online tabs. Most tabs are wrong in fact. Plus, the same notes/chords can be found in many places on the guitar, but all are the same. It just depends on how you'd like to play them. As long as it sounds like how you want it to or how you think the song sounds is the main thing.

Ok, so I've heard the bass line technique a lot, but what about songs where you can't really hear the bass? Like, I listen to Skillet, go look up their one of their songs, you can't hear the bass to well, especially in songs with strings.

yeah i know what you mean, i found sodom gommarah wash d.c. tricky too! it took me longer to crack this song than most others. its the type of song you need to slow it down and then speed it up slowly. i will have a think about how i would do that video..

Great tips my friend! Too many youngsters start playing by using tabs....and never learn to play by ear. If you just listen over and over..after a while you can find yourself knowing what the chords are before you even try it out. Just like learning a language!
