SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) is real. Given that I have worked graveyard for the last 19 years I have dealt with it. While it does make it harder for me to get up in the evening I find that if I stay out in the sun for twenty minutes before I go to bed I do not get depressed as often. Although if I were smart and did not mind loosing sleep in the winter I could wake up early and get my 20 minutes of sun before it goes down. Then I would be more energetic at the start of my "day."

If you take the sound down to zero to switch it off, has anyone noticed that it still plays the sounds when alarm goes off, be it though very very quietly.
It does so on my one and i am not sure whether if all of them are like that or just the one i have is broke.
Anyone care to test out with theirs and let me know?

I use the wake-up alarm both as a reading light and to wake up to. The frogs and ducks sound like they were recorded outside my house during the summer, so I wake up fine to them.
Everyone has an accent, just depends on where you come from. What you just stated makes no sense at all. You come from the united states (As I do, though living abroad). Therefore, you have an american accent. Depending where you live in america, it can be broken down into which american accent you have. These ladies come frome the U.K., and therefore, have a british accent. We all have one. That's pretty much common sense.
And its a very typical way of thinking. Quite sad. I would hate living in a box like many there. Blinded from all of the spectacular life and cultures of the world around them =b

You should hear how the american accent sounds like to the rest of the world and cultures. It's not popular at all, with most :). Didn't mean to hit a nerve with you, so I apologize for that :). Was just stating facts. Now, if you don't like the accent, its a shame, but your own opinion. ^^

Why? Didn't you notice the dreadful popping sounds just when the sound starts?
Check the new Wake up Light, it is great, it looks great, the display is not that horribly bright AAAAAND, best of all, NO POPPING NOISE!!!
